Welcome 2018…Bring It On

KALI;  We’re saying goodbye to 2017.  We did it, ladies!  We made it.  This calls for a fancy drink and a toast to ladies so crotchety, we refuse to be pushed out-of-the-way.

SARABI; How about a Vine Wine….you know silvervine. It makes your paws tingle. I want tingly paws today. We deserve it.

ALLIE; You are so right Sabrina…all for Vine Wine raise your paws. I see Amber, Binga, Binky, Ali, Sasha, Lily Olivia, Madi, and Kit. We have a majority ladies.

KALI; Before we clink our bowls together, I have a story to tell you….it’s true too.

MADI; Ok, Kali but our bowls are calling to us so let’s not get long-winded like you can at times.

This story concerns our very own protector, Buddy the Blue Russian Enforcer.

This is Buddy’s 10th Gotcha Day. Yep, 10 Gotcha Days with his family. He was 8 when he was adopted by his dad.  The whole transfer was very hush-hush. His dad met an anonymous character at “Dunkin Donuts” at 9pm New Year’s Eve. They exchanged words and the fellow showed our Buddy.  Buddy was so big he had to be carried in a dog carrier….20 pounds! No doubt Buddy was big from sending out orders in the Blue Russian Mafia. Makes one wonder. Bud Bud has slimmed down and gone straight.

We raise…no, the bowls are too heavy.  We slide our bowls together for a clink to our own Buddy and the upcoming year.                                                    KALI;   Just push the duckies out of the way and have a grand sip of Vine Wine.

Everyone slides the wine into each other, pushes the duckie aside and yells… “To our Buddy!”

Have a wonderful New Year.

GIANT PS….Mom screwed up and put our Crotchety Cougars https://crotchetycougarsblog.wordpress.com/ in The Canadian Cats.   We are sorry…last screw up of 2017…we hope.

Blogger Recognition Award…Thank you DeziWorld!

Oh! Shoko’s going to be upset she missed this one.  She loves awards and thinks they’re hers…just hers.  Well, this award is for all of us…even mom.

Dezi and Raena from Deziworld gave us this awesome award and we thank you very much for your thoughtfulness.

Isn’t the wreath lovely!  Wish I could wear it like my Lei.                                                   We started blogging back in the fall of 2014.  Shoko had started in Cat Scouts and was having a great time with her new-found buddies.  Mom was reading blogs to us one day and she muttered out loud that we could do a blog too.  Well, it wasn’t as easy as mom thought but dad helped establish her with the blog  Then she was afraid to use it.  What if nobody ever came to see her posts? How embarrassing.  She threw caution to the wind and actually published a post.  Then she wasn’t sure if she should look and see if anyone stopped by.  One day she broke down and looked.  She was in seventh heaven, three peeps had looked at her post.  Woo hoo…the big time!  Mom didn’t blog again for three months.  She didn’t think she could do as well.

KALI…..ORANGE
MOM…..RED VIOLET

The best suggestion I have for beginners is to focus on something you never seem to tire of.  If you do this then the posts will never be a chore but fun and part of your personality and also enjoyable for others to read.

The next suggestion I have is to do and say what YOU want to say not what others think you should talk about.  It is your blog to do your thing not be another voice for someone else or their cause.  Be true to you.

Our final step is to choose 15 bloggers we think deserve this award.  Well, there are so many more than 15 bloggers that deserve this award that I will only choose 3 to name and the others are more than welcome to grab the badge and call it their own.  You all have worked to develop the blog and then spent many hours honing the skills needed to develop interesting posts.  In our eyes, you’re all winners!

2/  TWOCATSVIEWS:  Life as seen by Hemingway and Steinbeck.
These two little terrors are cats and we view life from their perspective which can be both humorous and touching. Stop by and give them a peek.  Say Kali sent you and maybe some nip will show up.

3/ Hairballs and Hissyfits   is a cat blog which tells the cat’s activities from their own eyes.  A cheerful and happy blog.  Do take a peek at these charming kitties.

There you have it, friends.

See ya when Shoko returns with her Cat Scout stories.
