•Tweedledum and Tweedledee Land In London

SHOKO…..BLACK
KALI…..ORANGE

Mom and dad flew into London on rails and walked 87 miles from the Eurostar into St. Pancras Station.  Then out the other side to the main exit.  Dad rushed on ahead of mom…cause she was walking like she was dragging a moose behind her.  Mom finally made it to the exit and guess who greeted her?  It was Princess Leah, and her mom and dad.  Our dad was there too.                                                              How exciting Shoko.  They all went for tea in  St. Pancras Station. I think mom was stunned as she didn’t seem to take many pictures.                                                                      Here is Princess Leah’s mom, Julie and her dad, Mike.  Her Royal Highness is trying to get at the Canada Goose Shoko and I stuck in mom’s suitcase for Leah.  Mom said she enjoyed a relaxing cuppa with Leah and her parents.  She could have stayed and enjoyed their company for several more hours but it was time to get to the hotel. Take a look at Princess Leah’s Blog and see more pictures of our meeting.

Now St. Pancras Station is an old castle like building.  It is beautiful beyond compare.  Any repairs to the old structure are kept in the same style.                                                    Mom and dad caught a taxi to their hotel…The TavistockIt wasn’t far but these two decided they didn’t need to struggle down the sidewalk with their suitcases.                                                            Our travellers woke in Normandy and now they were in London.  To say they were tired was an understatement.

The next day found mom and dad deciding to walk about their area around the Tavistock Hotel.                                                                               Mom and dad liked the quaint shops along the street.                                                                The Post Box was so shiny and new looking.  Where the ones in Prince George look like they had a fight with a woofie and lost.                                                                          MOL….mom is in her glory looking for different spices and concoctions than in Canada.

The next place to find was Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium.  A bit of a challenge for our wanderers.

I won’t show you all the areas they wandered in and out but  Chinatown and Coventry Gardens were two of the districts.

They found Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium just as dad was starting to say they had come the wrong way while he was pushing mom on her walker.  They both were so excited they forgot to take a picture.

Inside was a small cat heaven. There were cats sleeping…of course.  Cats watching the pigeons and greeter cats showing us around.                                                                       Shoko would be crazy over these stairs….dropping on me from above.                                                                                Look at these caves for the cats.  They look like they’re in the wild forests of Africa.  What a hoot.

The birds outside caught these kitties attention while we sat and had High Tea.

A most satisfying visit to their first cat café.

Next installment…visiting Harrods Department Store.

Skimming Through The Everglades

walkmiamiMom and dad had allotted  3 days to see all the sights in Florida.  They had spent most of their holidays living it up in Georgia.  One day had gone and so it meant our travellers had two days to see what they could.                                                                            shokszmcropMom and dad quickly got outta Miami and headed for anywhere else!  They drove past the airport a couple of times and both admired the size of the airport.   At this point dad decided to use the GPS as they  wanted to see something different.  Makes sense…go for it dad.  So he asked mom where she wanted to go.  Mom decided she wanted to go on an air boat ride through the Everglades and look at the wildlife.  Dad thought this was a cool idea so off they flitted in their rented Fiat.                                                              a4smExcitement went through the car at the unique sign.  They hadn’t seen a sign like this before.  No crocs though…except for mom…MOL  They must be getting close…

There it is!!  Gator Park.    Kinda touristy.  Off they went to act like the tourists they were.                                                                  a3zmThey both got t-shirts that had an alligator on the front and said, “Bite Me.”

There’s the air boat they rode in.

airboatWhoa, this is some kind of boat!!  Bet its fast.

a3smOh my!!  Hope there aren’t any snakes….I hate snakes!  Slimy, cold thingies.

allie2smMom is sorry for the blurriness of the picture but she got excited and didn’t take time to focus properly.  At least she’s honest about her screw ups.                                                            aaa2These are Mr. Google’s water lilies.  Mom could not get a picture close enough to show the detail in the lilies.  These water lilies only open half way…they never completely open and only grow in the deepest part of the water.

azmBig bugg…guy!  Apparently these brutes live for 30 to 50 years.

Mom said she really liked this waterfall and after the boat ride was very relaxing.                                                                         alsm       You looked way better before the air boat ride mom and dad!  Holy cwap, this seeing different locations looks hazardous to one’s health.

Here mom have a mint julep, it will eliminate the vapours you seem to have…..very badly.                                                           aaaThere you have it.  Day two in Florida is coming to a close.  They have one more day…what will they do?  We’ll see next installment my friends.                                                         Kali and Shoks
