The Cat On My Head is hosting our selfies this fine Sunday. I had trouble getting my selfie this week as mom called my attention to some shredded plant that was hanging out near my cat pole. I don’t know everything that goes on in this joint. Geesh!
I must focus on my selfie. This dang remote is stuck. Oh for cat feathers. c’mon…whoops *click*. Oh, my I was taken by surprise.
The camera caught me rolling my eyes! MOL
Have an awesome Sunday my friends.
Dad gave me a manicure and pedicure yesterday and I painted my nails for my birthday. I look so glamorous! Wait till Buddy Budd sees me…he’ll flip. I love these and with my crown I’ll be the belle of my birthday party. This colour is called Panther Pink.
Shoko is mom making anything special? I think so…she’s making fishcakes…with lots of fish and hardly any potatoes. So it should be fish hash in minutes. She found some salmon and is making salmon puffs too. I never heard of those but they look yummy. MOL Mom put my bobble crown on me but I was not amused! It felt strange on my wee ears.
Another surprise! Oh my…look Shoko, Einey and Buddy from Timmy’s Commentary. My buddy! ‘sigh’ What are you looking for Buddy Budd. Some oregano….I can smell it. I have a bunch over here…come my man.
I got the surprise of my wee life yesterday. Mom took off and left us for hours! Well, at least an hour. She ran out of wet cat food, if you dare imagine such neglect from our mother. I couldn’t believe my ears and kept shaking my head but sure enough, the cupboard was bare. So there I sat without a shred of food….only my memory of the wonderful taste of cat food. I sat pondering how my life could have taken such a detour when mom came in loaded with bags from pet stores. I was almost in tears to see Beef Wellington, Beef Pate, Thanksgiving Dinner and Beef Flavoured Fancy Feast. All Kali and my favourites.
Mom also found something else which she proceeded to put on me. I was horrified! This is what my friends call a harness. I hissed at mom just so she knew I did not like this terrible turn of events. I’m at a loss of what to do, hiss, pee or just barf. I am very upset with you mom. You know, it doesn’t hurt. I think it’s padded…it is comfy and warm. Mom does seem rather proud of me. She gave me 5 freeze dried chicky boobie pieces. What should I do, I made such a fuss. hehe…I feel silly. I can’t kick up a stink when it feels this good and I’m getting so tired after that wonderful Beef Wellington and getting worked up. Maybe a bit of a lie down. *yawn*….feeling…zzzzz
You will remember a couple of weeks ago we had a furry visitor. He hung around here for three days…much to Kali and my disgust. He was in great shape and friendly. Dad was getting ready to call him George, so mom knew it was time George was taken to a shelter. George suffered the indignity of getting neutered but that was for the best best to keep the number of kittens in check. He was also given a check up and found to be in excellent health. Mom called today to see how George was doing. Well, yesterday a really nice family adopted him. Mom and dad were so happy! Mom had a cup of tea on Oak St( the name given him by the shelter). Dad, well dad had a beer to celebrate Oak St. getting a forever home.
We like him much better now that there is no chance he’s going to live with us.
Earlier today I got a surprise! Beatrice called to wish me a Happy Gotcha Day. I was delighted to speak with Beatrice and chat away about what she was doing and where she was. She was no longer in the Yukon and had spent weeks at headquarters in Winnipeg learning the camera angles and so on. She was calling from Argentina. It was very hot and she didn’t much care for it. Her work in Argentina would be done in a week so she was happy about that. She wasn’t sure when she would have the time to come home but she wanted to take advantage of the demand for her modelling. We told her we loved her and she gave us many verbal hugs. She’ll call again when she gets the extra time.
