We had a very happy Christmas. Mom gave us turkey for brekky and for supper and we sucked it down like the turk was Greenies. Then it was off to the tree standing in the living room. Dad was playing with the train…whoops, sorry dad. Dad was fixing the tracks cause they needed lubricating to keep the train on them. I didn’t tell him I’ve been batting at the train and then running like crazy up to the condo with Mistle Poop at the door. mew, mew, mew. I just like to say poop! mol
Santa brought me a remote control snake. This dude is a real horror. The snake, not Santa! Scared the crap outta me….looks so real.
Kept Kali awake for some time.
Next was Kali’s gift from Santa. She got what she asked for.
I examined the hut on the inside for any deadbeats hanging around and Kali examined the outside for drafts. The hut passed the test.
I could choose no feathers or for a bit more get the feathers. The feathers are just right for mom….don’tcha think? I didn’t have quite enough for the feathered wand so dad helped…thanks, dad.
Have a great Thursday friends.
Yes, I remember the wonderful days vividly! Those carefree days of summer in the veggie garden. I watched Cow Kitty make a fool of himself attacking the pea netting. I’m sniffing to see if there is enough water here for the peas…..if not I must contribute…MOL
Cow Kitty was delighted to be back in the vegetable garden too. Sitting up on the frame for the peas, surveying the garden.. See how well the Scarlet Runner beans produced this year.
I dipped my paws in the pool water. The pool was an oasis for all thirsty creatures that braved Fort Meezer. We did have more water in the pool. Luckily there were no ducks swimming in it. Cow Kitty would have leaped in the pool if that happened.
We were introduced to our new stroller. I had reservations. I mean a basket on wheels? Seriously? I had no idea of the thrills ahead.
Kali was delighted with a slow stroll through the neighbourhood. She is very nosy and happy when out and about meeting peeps.
Kali was happy to let the woofies be and enjoy the fresh air.
We had several walks down the Lane. Cow Kitty even came with us. I didn’t like him with us, he’s too bossy. Oh mom, can you enlarge this picture? Kali is way behind on the right hand side but she looks like a dot. She always seems to dance to her own tune. Is that the best you can do? Kali’s still a dot but everyone can see I’m telling Cow Kitty off and he could care less.
We participated with the others with Phoebe’s sunglasses. I felt like a movie star but all was dark. Kali wore them too. She’s not impressed with mom putting them on. Whatever!!
Kali and I entered a few events at the Pawlympics, Easy’s Tuneful Farting, Noodle’s Tongue Rolls and Raspberries and Dezi’s Fly Fishin’. My favourite was Easy’s Tuneful Farting cause it really messed with Kali’s head. MOL Kali is embarrassed because ladies don’t talk of these terrible bodily functions.
This summer I had two teeth out and met the substitute Tooth Fairy. Scary and hairy! Mom took me for a walk on my harness and found out I can slip out of the harness like a magician. MOL….that was fun! The look on mom’s face was priceless.
These have been great summer moments in our lives and a fantabulous way to share on Remember me Thursday.
To keep peeps up to date. Here is a picture of mom’s finger without the bandage. No more drugs or pain just a little tightness on the finger. She gets the stitches out tomorrow. She’s some happy about it.
There you have it our happy memories of the summer. Tomorrow is the first day of Fall and the cold weather.
What a yucky day….nothing but rain, rain and then more rain.
It’s just as well Shoko is off at the Cat Scout carnival today or she’d be wanting to play, “chase and bite butt.” I really don’t like that game but Shoko insists we should play it on rainy days.
Shoko didn’t want me to say anything to you but yesterday mom was so angry with Shoko that I thought mom would burst! It was a beautiful day here yesterday so mom opened the screen door to the deck, so Shoko and I could go in and out at will. There are no mosquitos or many flies so she thought it was safe. Mom was busy blanching some beans for freezing and Shoko came rushing in and headed straight for her condo, Mom saw Shoko throwing something in the air so went over to investigate. There lay a small bird, its heart just apounding. Mom hollered,”NO, NO, NO…get away!” several times. Mom doesn’t say no often so Shoko listened as mom picked up the little bird.
She put the wee one on a small dish and walked out on the deck. The bird quickly flew away. Mom breathed a deep sigh of relief. This bird is an Immature Ground Finch and looks just like the bird Shoko had but it wasn’t as fat as this bird. Now, Shoko doesn’t jump for a bird so this bird must have been running around on the ground. This is also Shoko’s first bird….it took her 7 years to find one on the ground, I guess.
Now for my secret about Shoko. Shoko is afraid of the Cat’s Meow. You know, that fun toy. Mom brought it out of the cupboard where it was out of Shoko’s view. I was excited…..this is me being excited! MOL
Mom put the Cat’s meow in the living room for a week without turning it on. Shoko was sniffing it and sitting beside it. It was time to turn it on. Where’s Shoko? She’s behind the chesterfield poking her head out to watch it. MOL This is the big fierce hunter we’re talking about here!
