Mom and I went for a good walk today. Well, she walked, I rode. The things I saw my friends. They’d curl Kali’s fur and she’d be a LaPerm cat….MOL…I’m so funny! MOL! *sigh* What? OK, I’ll get on with the story, mom. It was unbelievable! Pure craziness. Peeps were all over….making lotsa noise too. Cars were whizzing by and I was scared at first. I crept to the back of the basket…near mom. There were so many strange noises. Dogs were barking, usually I couldn’t see them but I saw three of the big boogers. Kali would have saucer eyes!. MOL
Two of the big dogs I saw were Bulldogs, mom said. I wouldn’t want them living near me. They are super loud. I pulled back in the basket but had my eyes on them till they were outta sight.
We went by one house that had a lovely tree getting new growth on it and MOL, these peeps had tied plastic apples on the tree. It was cool. I guess it’s an apple tree or a plastic apple tree. MOL
Mom was talking with our neighbour on our way home and he realized I was sitting in the stroller, so he asked about me and mom explained we went for a roll and stroll. He has two cats and was enthralled with the stroller. He said the pet stroller was, “Cutting edge” and I had to agree with him, at least for Prince George it was very *cutting edge*. I yelled at mom to hurry up and we were on the move again.
Kali met us at the door and was delighted to see us, mewing up a storm. I told her all about the sights we saw and she licked my head. Aww….sis…I had a good time. I’m sure tired though.
S’cuse my friends I must have a well deserved nap. Can you imagine the dreams I’ll have? MOL
The day started pretty good. Shoko and I dug into our Beef Flavoured Fancy Feast as soon as mom got up. We were starving! Mom has decided we don’t need kibble to nibble on all night because in the morning we are not hungry and we don’t care about our wet food. Needless to say we cleaned the bowls.
Shoko and mom had a fast and furious game of yellow wand after brekkie and I watched. Occasionally I whacked the furriness on the wand.
Woops, looks like mom’s paw made it to the screen. You see how I’m telling her to get her paw outta the picture by staring…..but she didn’t catch on. Notice, Shoko is moving so fast, she’s blurry. It had nothing to do with mom’s picture taking ability. MOL
I decided to relax in the livingroom and Shoko went outside to see if Cow-Kitty was up to any mischief. Well, these peeps came to the door and mom let them in with this big long hose. The man went to the basement and the girl was taking the heating vents out. Talk about an invasion of privacy. I quickly slipped out of sight.
They took a picture of all the dry wall and pieces of metal they found. I guess they take pictures just in case mom gets the idea they stole some drywall…..now that’s covering your butt. Mom says this house was made in 1996 and she has had the ducts cleaned 3 times since she moved here 7 years ago. This shows what a crappy job the previous duct cleaners did, if there was still drywall and building material in the vents.
Now this is awesome….nice and warm on my booty. A booty warmer just for me!
Shoko then modelled the new scarf she got.
What a cwappy day. It’s pouring…..apparently the end of some hurricane decided to come all this way inland and grace us with its rain. The wind is ahowlin’ and the leaves are blowing everywhere. I’m not impressed! Furthermore it looks like my friends Penelope and her bro Pippin’ have had a horrible accident in the basement and may not be up to playing with us this year. I won’t go into detail but its not a pretty sight apparently. Mom won’t tell me anymore than that. Remember these cheery faces. My friends Penelope and Pippin’.
Kali had to go to the vet’s today too. She didn’t want to go and told mom why but mom had her ears turned off. Before I knew it they were back again. I guess I must’ve fallen asleep. Kali was very happy to get out of the carrier and disappeared before I completely woke up. Kali has arthritis with some wasting around her hips. The pain giver recommended fish oil and if there is no difference a capsule for arthritis will be appropriate. Mom said it was remarkable but Kali who usually sheds all fur hanging about, so it looks like a fog has descended upon the room, didn’t shed 1 hair. One great thing that happened today was mom got her Cat Lady box and we both helped her look inside. We exhausted ourselves with the box and are ready for a snooze.
Kali is delighted its Artsy, Fartsy Caturday on Athena and Marie’s blog tomorrow and she gets to pose. Simply click on the name of the hosting blog and enjoy the anipals in their artsy forms.
Have a great weekend my friends and if you get a chance drop into Cat Scouts on Saturday as I will be celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving. I will probably celebrate off and on for the whole long weekend.
It’s still hot here friends. There doesn’t seem to be a break in sight. If, we do anything, it has to be in the morning when the weather is reasonable. Here is Kali and I going for a morning walk in the lane with mom. You can see in this picture that Kali has lost weight. Then onto some fun with ice cubes and a few drinky poohs. The ice cubes look like meece…sorry mice. I can pretend anyway.
In the afternoon Kali and I just flopped around….it was so hot! We lay sprawled out and aired our private parts. There are no pictures as this would be terribly embarrassing and Kali says ladies do not flaunt themselves. She would just die if Buddy saw her like that and I really don’t want Einstein to think I’m a loose kitty.
