Tyebe and myself have been at Cat Scouts most of the afternoon. If, you want to look at the site simply click on Cat Scouts in red. We were in the Senior’s Den. Tyebe was giving paw-dicures to the seniors. She enjoyed herself immensely.
I was assisting Tyebe by washing fresh towels and bringing hot soapy water to soften up the pads.
Now, I am going to pose for my selfie on The Cat on my Head blog. Simply click on the name and be whisked over to see them.
Here we go…with a close up of my face,
Dang, just about missed my head. There you go. moi. I am kinda blurry. You get the idea. mol
Piglove and Gentlestitches are hosting this reading of a story. We intend to do a book review also. We read many cat books because of our story time every night, some are good and some are alright. There are very few books out there that we do not like at least some part of the story. However, books written from the cat’s perspective have a special place in our hearts. The following book employs this technique with great success. The book we are reviewing is called, “Black Cat and The Accidental Angel” written by Elaine Faber. This book is the third and as yet the final book in the series. From the moment we started reading……we were hooked. The story begins where the previous story, “Black Cat and The Lethal Lawyer” leaves off. Thumper and his family are heading home from their visit in Texas. They are not far from home when suddenly, the SUV is in an accident and the carrier with the cats in it is thrown from the vehicle, landing in an awkward place that is impossible for the family to find. The adventure begins as Angel and Thumper try to find their way home. One massive problem exists, Thumper has lost his memory and doesn’t even know who the cat is with him.
These two cats have many adventures while attempting to walk home. Mom laughed, sniffled and down right cried. She got that attached to the kitties and their struggles. The plot twists kept her reading when she normally would quit for the night. The ending came way too quickly for us. So in short, I would say if you want a boring book to read so you can fall asleep quickly, don’t get, “Black Cat and the Accidental Angel.” However, if you want an excellent read with cats that are real to life, DO buy, “Black Cat and the Accidental Angel.” The only thing left for us to do is get Elaine Faber to write a fourth book in the, “Black Cat” series. MOL
The author forwarded pictures of the cats that were her muses for Thumper and Angel. I thought you would be as delighted to see them as we were.
This charmer’s name is Boots alias Black Cat and Thumper.
Meet gorgeous Amber, alias Noe Noe and Angel.
These precious kitties live with the author and happily share their lives.
Now, without further adieu mom is going to read part of the first chapter of, “Black Cat and The Accidental Angel” on video. Please excuse her feet as she was relaxing and laying back.
Mom only read a portion of the first chapter. To see how the story goes, you’ll just have to get the book.
Hope you’ve enjoyed peeking in our bedroom…we enjoyed the company. Ya all come back now…..ya hear. MOL
When mom and dad were in Barkerville they got their picture taken. Prepare yourself…..this is unique my friends.
Mom in a bonnet and dad looking like he’d beat the cwap outta anybody interfering with his family. MOL
Today is also Collect Rocks Day so Bashful and Chip went out to the Lane to chat with the local stoners and rockers. I see them headed for home now. They have some pebble with them.
Hey Shoko I would like to introduce you to my new friend. She is very shy.
What is her name Chip? Gee, I don’t know. She grabbed a ride with us when we left Barkerville. Really? Where did she hide? She climbed into the bag with the other flats. She must be hungry….what does she eat Chip? The same as you and Bashful? Yeah, let’s get your mom to give her some of the good stuff, sifted sand. Is she alone or did someone come with her from Barkerville? Another stone came with her. This little pebble is quite young. How old is she Chip? I don’t know for sure but she is around my age. Bashful is talking with her friend and thinks he may stay with her as she is very upset about leaving Barkerville. OK, I’m sure Bashful will help her. You make her comfy Chip and try to find out her name.
Mom is very happy with her canning from the other day. The end is now in sight.
Kali is delighted with our Yeowwy Green Fish mom got from the opening of Pet Smart.
I wonder if Bashful will bring the upset stone home? Guess I’ll find out soon.
It’s Friday already Kali. Tomorrow is Artsy Caturday with Athena and Marie on their very own Blog Hop. Simply click on their blog hop and be swept away with a broom, into a lovely world of anipals being all artsy. This time I get to pose for the Caturday art as this is for the latest blog header of me patrolling along Fort Meezer in Da Hood.
This means I get to pose for a selfie on Sunday then Shoko. That’s fair Kali.
Kali did you see Felix this morning doing his aerobics on the top of the pea poles. He was at his best purring out a little tune. MOL, no I missed it, bet it was hilarious. Mom got a few pictures of him.
