All right…we’re off in a cloud of nip and bones!
Yuck…it’s all yellow and bare out here. Maybe there’s a mouse about.
Guess they don’t believe me. I can hear little pawsteps running away.
I’m coming mom…there are so many prey smells around.
Time to go home? OK, let’s hit the dirt and come again tomorrow.
That was Saturday, my friends. Sunday arrived with a surprise.
Snow!! Oh, no….hope it disappears.
My bowl of water was very cold. Fortunately, it’s The Cat On My Head’s selfie Sunday so I took the picture mom had me shoot yesterday and blended it in with all the other furries pictures. Come see it at The Cat On My Head’s blog. Simply click on the name and be swept along with the tide.
Let’s move that table Kali so there’s room to dance and play, *herd of elephants*. Crap it’s heavy Shoko! I know but I couldn’t ask mom and dad to move it before they left. I guess not.
KALI…..ORANGE What kinda food should we put out Shoko? That’s no biggie Kali….we’ll put out what we like for the cats, the others may be a bit more difficult but we’ll figure it out. Chickens, roasted with powdered nip and silvervine stuffing. Geez databbiesotrouttowne are not going to be pleased with a berd around. Well, it’s not alive or pecking at them and many of our pals love chicky. We can’t please everyone Kali, I wish we could but we’re all different
We have a dish called Sashimi. Sashimi is used to cleanse your palette between different courses. Salmon fresh from the Pacific. We had some Sockeye Salmon filets shipped in from Prince Rupert to tempt the taste buds of the fishy fanatics like YOU. hehe
We will grill the salmon to perfection right in front of your eyes. For those more daring we have salmon sushi. Wow Shoko where did you get this stuff? It’s delicious but we didn’t have any money. Well, the chicky was in the freezer and the salmon was sent down to us from our friends in Rupert. We don’t have any friends in Rupert Shoko. Do you hafta be so picky Kali? Did you do something dishonest for it Shoks? No, I got the salmon from the freezer too. So, you’re just a big wind bag Shoko! Nope, these things are perfect. Where do you think mom and dad got the salmon? Prince Rupert? Exactly.
Now when our pals bring their lucky pot dishes, we’ll have a tasty set up. Why the name lucky pot? The police will be alerted to our activities. Let them be! We’re lucky to have a pot of anything from our friends. That’s what I mean.
Gracie lent us her favourite condo playground to play and have herd of elephant games. It’s a massive tree.
I “borrowed” 2 diffusers to play. “Name That Stink.” What do our friends win if they guess the right stink, Shoko? Ummm…I never thought of that Kali. What toys do you have Kali? Toys that don’t have teeth marks in them like mine? I got a wind up mouse but I slobber on my toys. It’s rude to give a bitten or slobbered on toy. I know!! Remember those straws that mom found when she went out for coffee with her friend. You mean the ones from Starbucks and Tim Horton’s? Exactly! There must be 70 of them there. Mom goes out for coffee a lot. Those can be take home prizes. Is Nellie coming Shoko? She figures she can sneak away for a few hours but will be home when mom goes to visit. Nellie wouldn’t say a word about our pawty to mom, I know it. She is the Queen of The Cat From Hell so she won’t say ,”nip.” She can get on her cell phone and let us know when mom’s coming home. Then we can have everything shiny and new looking.
Hi everyone, I feel so much better today. I still limp and have a lot of trouble walking but mom and I went to the vets today. Mom didn’t even try and get me in my carrier but used Shoko’s box carrier where she could just place me in the box and shut the lid. Mom could carry me just great. I said nothing on the way to the vets, even though I was really scared. Dr. V and mom chattered back and forth but Dr. V treated me like a princess so I was a happy girl. It turns out that I also have arthritis in my hip and the base of my tail. The vet thought the idea of hyaluronic acid (HA) would definitely help my other joints but there was also damage to my elbow joints, she was unsure if HA would help this. We also decided on using the Medicam in three-day doses a week and start with a dose for 5 days. She said using it everyday would be pretty hard on my kidneys and I seemed the sensitive sort anyway. This is true I have several health problems. At the end of the exam I got blood sucked out of my body. Oh my, I sound like Shoko. I’ve been hanging around with her too much. Then we went home. First mom asked for some treats for me. The vet gives them out free. We snagged some treats and left. When we got in the car mom undid the top of the box carrier. I was laying on top of the purple towel like Lady Muckaty Muck. I didn’t want to move especially with these treats. When we got home mom gave me the Medicam and we took off for a stroll up the street. So many things to see! I met two boxers and a bulldog. They were very quiet and polite. It was a good day. Today is also our Friendly Fill-Ins hosted by Ellen of 15 And Meowing and Annie of McGuffy’s Reader. Our Friendly Friday Fill-ins for week 21.
1. HUG a CAT TODAY….preferably me. MOL.
Hi ya friends. I sit atop the love seat back to tell you about today’s post. I feel so tall sitting here and looking right in your face.
Mom was getting quite worried about Kali over the last 10 days. Kali was lethargic, didn’t eat much, drank little and slept in the condo most of the day then coming to bed and continuing to sleep at night. She would cry out in her sleep at night and mom would get up and pet her, all the time talking about fun things that Kali would like.
So guess what happened? That’s right, Kali won the award for sleeping more than any other cat in our vicinity. MOL Sorry mom, I couldn’t help but kid around. On a more serious note, Kali had an appointment with the vet. Off she went. I said I’d wait here, no need for me to tag along, thank you very much. Dr. Kalyn said Kali’s weight and hydration levels were good and she recommended mom give her Meticam for 3 days in a row to see if it lessened the pain in her arthritic joints. Mom and dad were giving her Meticam but only when Kali was having difficulty walking. Then the three of them headed back home. Mom and dad took turns giving Kali her liquid oral med for the three days. Was there a difference? You bet your booties there was!! Kali was racing around the hall on the second day and playing with toys, even though her paw was very sore before, now she was hitting toys with the paw. Simon’s Cat hearts had to run from the paw. Sorry about the picture quality friends but in the first picture Kali”s paws were movin’ pretty fast. I don’t know what happened in the second photo….her paw is clear as a bell but her face’s all fuzzy. Her face wasn’t movin’ all that fast. Go figure!
Have a great day and may all your mice be furless….nothing worse than furs up the nose when one is hard at play.
Sunday already! Today was a play day for us. I really like the new wand mom got for me. No cheapy toy this time. She’s learning. It’s taking quite a while but she is learning. Here, I’m anticipating the wand’s going to be coming my way. I can see the feather. Unfortunately, mom did not turn the flash on for these 2 pictures so they are rather raw looking. I’m calculating how much effort I need to use as the feather is getting closer. I caught it!
Alright, time to beat the hell-o outta this guy!
Once again The Cat On My Head is having a selfies blog hop. Simply click on their name and enjoy the other participants in the blog hop.
Noodle, of noodle4 president nominated us to participate in the 8 photos of happiness challenge created by Ariel’s Little Corner of the Internet. So here we are about to share some of our happiest moments…that were photographed with you.
This is one of the first pictures taken of me when I came to live with mom and dad and Kali. I was so happy to have a new home. This next picture shows mom and I looking at the computer. I was wondering what I could do with this thing cause I wanted to see other kitties. Mom should have known right then that I’d be a computer nut and have my own blog. Notice how my ears are perked and I’m all eyes for this new picture.
Here is a happy moment for Kali when she was just a whipper snapper.
Moving right along we have a picture of me just out like a light. I was totally exhausted from gardening all day…..I was a delighted but a tired kitty. Mom says I look like a dead cat. MOL Anipals will think I’m weird taking a picture of a dead cat. Mom you’re so funny!
Our next to last picture is of Kali helping mom with the nip. Kali was delighted to help mom and have the many sniffs of this aromatic weed.
Ok mom…we’ll include your happiest memory too.
Mom smiles whenever she seesflowers, Kali, mealright, flowers this photo because it includes her beloved flowers, Kali and me being nice with each other.

Before we go I have to ask Kali if she heard the cat fight last night. Well did you Kali? By cracky how could I miss it Shoko. They must have been on the deck. I jumped about a foot. So did you see mom come staggering out of the bedroom just a hot footin’ it to the sliding glass door. She must have thought cow-kitty was in the fight. All I heard was Cow-Kitty, Cow Kitty are you alright? MOL I heard her alright.
