It’s harvest time in the veggie garden! Mom has been removing the veggies and canning, freezing, dehydrating and eating the veggies. Slowly the veggie garden is disappearing. You can see the garden is disappearing. The Brussel sprouts are slow but they taste sweeter after a frost anyhow.
The flower garden is overwhelmed with *Love Lies Bleeding* plants. Kali and I usually go into the Love Lies Bleeding to get some shade but there was so many of them that we couldn’t get under them. Disgusting mom! She says next year she’ll put the Love Lies Bleeding at the back of the garden so they don’t cover all the other plants like they’re doing this year. As you can see this garden is thick with this dang plant. The tomatoes will never turn red unless some are pulled out.
Mom sent away to Suddenly Cat for 2 fishes for us. Gosh! She sent away like 87 months ago and they arrived on Friday. I was delighted with this LED fish. It swims and lights up in water. mol I was mesmerized by this shiny and bright fish. Think I’ll call him Jaws.
While Jaws was enjoying his swim around the water bowl, I was trying to figure out how to get him out. No easy task my friends. I didn’t want to get my paw wet. I want to plunk this plastic fish down at Kali’s paws. Kali gets acne from plastic and I want to see her break out in pimples. MOL
Knock it off Kali. All I want to know is what’s under your paw. You’re a pest today. Am not. There’s nothing under my paw. Now. quit bugging me and let’s do the Friday Fill Ins that Ellen from 15 and Meowing and Annie from McGuffy’s Reader have stated for us. K, let’s do it. SHOKO…..BLACK
1. As a child, my favorite playground activity was …..HIDE AND SEEK. THERE ARE TONS OF PLACES TO HIDE IN THE VEGGIE GARDEN AND KALI COULD NEVER FIND ME.
2. For breakfast, I have…..FANCY FEAST, OF COURSE. NOM NOM, IT’S SO GOOD!
3. An instrument I would like to play is…..THE ELECTRIC GUITAR. CAN YOU IMAGINE, MARY HAD A LITTLE LAMB SUNG TO THE SOUND OF AN ELECTRIC GEE TAR. MOL
4. I always try to ……TREAT OTHERS AS IF THEY ARE WEIRD, because…...YOU NEVER KNOW, SO I’M ALWAYS PREPARED.
Play nice my friends.
I was in the house dining as were mom and dad. Kali was trying to get up after an especially good dream of Buddy.
Dad looked out the window and said, “I think Cow Kitty is in trouble in the vegetable garden.” The three of us quickly headed outside to see what was wrong. As we got closer this is what we saw.
Cow Kitty was terrified and very agitated. Dad tried to remove his paw but Cow Kitty tried to scratch and bite him so dad told mom to get the scissors and he’d cut Cow Kitty out.
Cow Kitty must have been in some pain also. Dad cut Cow Kitty’s paw out of the pea netting and off he went. No limping just happier than hell-o to get out of the trap that had never bit him before.
Mom and dad never thought this pea netting could be hazardous to any animals but the squares are small and don’t stretch. Next year will be different as the netting will have big plastic squares so nothing will get caught.
Cow Kitty had a collar on…this is new for him. The collar came off when he struggled with the pea netting. There was no name on the collar but five bells. This is a sign of how great a hunter he is.
Due to Cow Kitty’s harrowing experience today we are making him honorary Artsy Fartsy model on Athena Cat Goddess Wise kitty’s blog.
Mom used Lunapic and used the Art Watercolour and lessened the effect. Then she rounded the border. Here is our Cow Kitty in all his glory.
MOL..Happy Canada Day from us Canucks.
Here it is Christmas Eve and we are playing around near the tree. We’re waiting for Santa, We gotta do something while we’re waiting. Cow Kitty dropped by and decided he’d investigate the tree.
You see that pile that looks like a dead body in the hall…well it is……OK, OK….a dead body is much more interesting than what it is. MOL Use your imagination friends….what do you think we have in our hall?
Here is a much nicer picture of Cow Kitty as he posed for his picture. If, Cow Kitty behaved like a gentleman, like now, I wouldn’t have as many issues with him.
Kali got herself quite comfy under the tree for a snooze near mom’s wagon. Dad didn’t want to try and wrap it.
It is Selfie Sunday at The Cat on my Head and Kali is starring as our model. Drop by and visit the other models.
I am busying myself with my intellectualized toy. They must think I’m stupid….I am a meezer….I know things. Like I know how to stick my paw in a cup and come up with treats. Geesh!
What I want to know is where is the little person that keeps putting treats in them. I’ve looked and looked but can’t find him. Perhaps he lives under the cups. ” Anybody in there….come on out and chat, I’d rather have Catnip Greenies in here.” Hmmm…what to do?
Thank you to all our friends for the wonderful Christmas wishes. Here are just some of the cards. We were overwhelmed by such kind and thoughtful friends.
Notice the pitiful plant…..this is my toy when I get bored. It never seems to grow yet I’ve played smacky paw many times with it.
Merry Christmas my friends…..we love your visits. Have a wonderful Day.
May Santa bring you all the Christmas joy your heart can hold!
I am much better with carpeted surfaces than wood. Those little splinters hurt the paw. So dad suggested I explain what’s happening instead of getting my paws in the way.
We were there to help inspect the new house on the deck. We have placed four blankets inside the house. The roof comes off the house for cleaning and tidying. There are two inches of Styrofoam on the outside which makes the house pink and draft free. Cow Kitty is secure in his masculinity so no problem with gender typing.
No, the house shouldn’t be so open and that herb has to go. What kinda herb is it? Think mom said a Bay Leaf Plant. It looks disgusting! No flowers just sharp pointy leaves….yuck. Back to Cow Kitty’s house. There is no place for him to sun himself in the morning glow. The steps lead up to the entrance and then he’d have to hop in like a bunny. What do you think Kali? I agree Shoko. If, he was in a rush to leave the house he may fall down the stairs. Not a good place to have the house.
This is more like it Shoko. He can run up the stairs and he has someplace to sit if he doesn’t feel like turning in for the night. The entrance is facing in the opposite direction of the wind current, This is the place Shoko. Look he likes his pink house with the Duck tape. The Duck’s tape adds a masculine look too!
Hi everyone, today is the Selfie Sunday blog hop with our host The Cat on My Head. So drop by our wonderful hosts and view more anipals posing for their Selfies. We haven’t really done anything interesting…just look out the window at the white stuff and hope it disappears soon. It feels like the beginning of January….go away, come again another day.
I chewed on the feather wand and quickly snapped the picture with my paw.
Shoko, you’re all blurry…..even the feather’s blurry. Son of a snow frog! I’ll have to try it again.
ok…5…4…3…2…Shoko, did I tell you, mom says the snow is here for the season. What?…1… CLICK!
May your snowman never be a flake.
Have a great Sunday my friends. MOL
