Friday is Fill-In day from 15 and Meowing and Four -Legged Furballs. Thank you ladies for the fabulous sentences.
1. When it is hot,….. I HEAD INTO THE LANE TO SLEEP IN THE LONG COOL GRASS OF THE DILAPIDATED HOUSE.
Over to you Tyebe. Now just relax and tell it like it is,
Good grief Kali….I feel chilled to the bone and I haven’t even been outside. I know! It’s so cold you could freeze a mouse on the banister….. but then again who wants to? I think we need to think of something else or we’ll be whining at mom soon.
You want to play *Hat*? I don’t want to play Hat. You’ll make me wear the hat and then you’ll laugh at me.
Hmmm….it’s a sun hat….maybe it’ll get warmer in here.
Quit laughing at me, Kali….I don’t even have it on. I’m not playing with you….you got a giggle bug up your butt. Well, it is Tock-tober, Shoko. Oh my, that’s right Kali. Let’s see your butt. Not bloody likely Shoko….you’ll draw a face on my dainty rear end or something. Who me….never!
Well, that’s it for us then. Happy Tock-tober and don’t forget to see my selfie on The Cat On My Head blog. Click on the name and we’ll take you to see our friends too. Have a great weekend. Night friends.
Athena, that wild and creative gal is having another Artsy Caturday and I decided to join in on the parade. Do pop by Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty blog and see what the artsy world has done to our friends. MOL A big hug and a thank you to Dezi and Raena’s mom from DeziWorld for making this picture possible.
Cow Kitty was over for a visit today. He slept out on the bench for a long time. Finally he came in and played with our cheese and mice.
After he rough housing with the cheese…knocked it across the dining room floor and then played in the tunnel, he wanted to go home. Cow Kitty very seldom talks but when mom let him out, he softly mewed at her. Then he headed toward his home.
Here it is 2am and all is quiet. Kali is snoring up a storm and so I wait alone for the Tooth Fairy. I’m getting *yawn* sleepy.
ZZZZZZ……what was that noise? You see, I have one eye open so I can see everything that happens.
I know I heard something. Oh look, the Tooth Fairy’s been by.
Kali look what I got! I got a toonie, two loonies and two quarters. So you got two dollars for each tooth and fifty cents for the broken one. Good hard cash. I got a feather wand too. That’ll be a lot of fun. Just try to catch me feather…MOL. Focus Shoko.
You got a cheque too. Oh, oh. She could be one of those butt(ers) What??? You know one of those dad’s that don’t pay ail-a-money for their child’s support. Oh…MOL…you mean deadbeat dads. Ya,that’s it!! The Tooth Fairy may not have the mew-lah In the bank to cover the cheque. Believe me Shoko if you go cash this cheque, I guarantee you, that’s the least of your problems.
Shoko did you get a picture of the Tooth Fairy? I hope so. I was wearing my selfie remote and attached the motion activator before I went to sleep. Looks like I got her. The camera was on.
This is the Tooth Fairy?? Egads!! She’s not the least bit like I imagined. It looks more like dad. MOL Even dad doesn’t look that crazy. Mom says that the Tooth Fairy has helpers that step in and help her when she’s really busy. I guess this guy is one of them. Probably a peeps Tooth Fairy helper. I’ll bet hardly anybody likes to see him instead of the real Tooth Fairy so be kind Shoko. OK Kali, I sure can understand why nobody would want to see him late at night.
You know Kali, databbiesotrouttowne were right. I got the exact sum they said I would, and not a cent less. Did I get any treats? Yes, you did. You got 3 bags of Island Paradise, our favourite. Mom put them away while you were busy.
What a night. I could use some sleep.
Have a super day and may your fairy bring you everything you want.
The first book of the series one must read is, “Latitudes and Cattitudes.” This little book introduces readers to Xander de Hunter and Merlin living in Seattle, Washington.
Isn’t this the book mom just finished Kali? Yep, it’s a James Bond type of story but with us felines and from Xander’s point of view.
Mom says she would have been lost if she hadn’t read, “Latitudes and Cattitudes. ” This little book is a prequel to The Sea Purrtector FIles and its free. Can’t get any cheaper than that.
Our hero is Xander de Hunter, a skillful feline. Xander is a seal-point Siamese so he is a beautiful specimen. I believe he is a distant cousin of mine, Kali. Sure Shoko, whatever you say. *rolls eyes* As our story opens, Xander has just won a kick boxing championship. A white cat by the name of Merlin approaches Xander requesting his assistance to find his littermate. Our hero doesn’t bat an eye even though Merlin’s sister is lost on the ocean and Xander is deathly afraid of water.
The location has changed for The Red Claw. We first see our hero, Xander de Hunter on his boat in Jamaica. Our hero has been summoned from the ranks of Catomondo by a letter marked with a Red Claw, a very urgent sign indeed. One of cat society’s royalty is missing. Time for Xander to show his prowess as the Sea Puurtector, even though he’s being shadowed by one of Dogdom’s finest agents…
The shenanigans between Xander and some island residents is priceless. We meet up with Sir Simon who holds the important position of Jamaican Purrtector in Catamondo. So if you like a happy feeling before you close your eyes for the night, we urge you to start reading the Sea Purrtector Files.
So who’s the author mom? Oh didn’t I say? No! Well, her name is Jeanne Foguth and she knows boats and cats. She’s been over to the Caribbean, observing the locals in their environment. This is Merlin, author Foguth’s inspiration for Simon.
Our favourite candy date for mayor has stated another reason to vote for her. What? Did I read that right….Did Lexi say no taxes? Paw at this address and see what future mayor Lexi is offering us. A big hug to Sammy and Pam from One Spoiled Cat for this lovely badge. We love this beautiful badge. It makes us look like we got class. That’s class Shoko not g-ass. MOL….sorry Kali,…..MOL mewwww
May your whiskers never need braiding!
Hi ya friends. I sit atop the love seat back to tell you about today’s post. I feel so tall sitting here and looking right in your face.
Mom was getting quite worried about Kali over the last 10 days. Kali was lethargic, didn’t eat much, drank little and slept in the condo most of the day then coming to bed and continuing to sleep at night. She would cry out in her sleep at night and mom would get up and pet her, all the time talking about fun things that Kali would like.
So guess what happened? That’s right, Kali won the award for sleeping more than any other cat in our vicinity. MOL Sorry mom, I couldn’t help but kid around. On a more serious note, Kali had an appointment with the vet. Off she went. I said I’d wait here, no need for me to tag along, thank you very much. Dr. Kalyn said Kali’s weight and hydration levels were good and she recommended mom give her Meticam for 3 days in a row to see if it lessened the pain in her arthritic joints. Mom and dad were giving her Meticam but only when Kali was having difficulty walking. Then the three of them headed back home. Mom and dad took turns giving Kali her liquid oral med for the three days. Was there a difference? You bet your booties there was!! Kali was racing around the hall on the second day and playing with toys, even though her paw was very sore before, now she was hitting toys with the paw. Simon’s Cat hearts had to run from the paw. Sorry about the picture quality friends but in the first picture Kali”s paws were movin’ pretty fast. I don’t know what happened in the second photo….her paw is clear as a bell but her face’s all fuzzy. Her face wasn’t movin’ all that fast. Go figure!
Have a great day and may all your mice be furless….nothing worse than furs up the nose when one is hard at play.
Here I am in my witches costume.
It is The Cat on my Head’s Selfie Sunday tomorrow and we will be joining in. Please, click on the blog hop and view the other anipals posing for a selfie.
How is little what’s her name doing Chip? Did she speak to you yet? No she hasn’t Shoko. She’s come pretty close but nothing yet. She had a huge drink of water and your mom put some sugar into the silt to make the little beaut stronger. She’s gobbling up the mixture Miss Jean.
Thank you so much Miss Jean she is no longer upset but she is very tired. Rather sweet too. I’m going to tuck her in.
Kali is orange
Chip is grey
Last night we all sat on the deck until midnight. It was just too hot to sleep. The little cow kitten from next door was out and came up on the deck and sat with us. Kali and I hissed and growled at him….just our way of saying, “We don’t want you around here.” He hissed and growled back, just his way of saying, “I don’t care…..I’m stayin for a visit.” and we all sat around staring at each other. Well, to be truthful, mom wasn’t staring at us…..she was laughing. She thought this was funny because all we did was sound off and nobody lifted a paw. No pictures of us quarreling but one you’ll love just the same.. Remember these times? Aww….what I wouldn’t give for a romp in the snow.
