Mom and I went for a good walk today. Well, she walked, I rode. The things I saw my friends. They’d curl Kali’s fur and she’d be a LaPerm cat….MOL…I’m so funny! MOL! *sigh* What? OK, I’ll get on with the story, mom. It was unbelievable! Pure craziness. Peeps were all over….making lotsa noise too. Cars were whizzing by and I was scared at first. I crept to the back of the basket…near mom. There were so many strange noises. Dogs were barking, usually I couldn’t see them but I saw three of the big boogers. Kali would have saucer eyes!. MOL
Two of the big dogs I saw were Bulldogs, mom said. I wouldn’t want them living near me. They are super loud. I pulled back in the basket but had my eyes on them till they were outta sight.
We went by one house that had a lovely tree getting new growth on it and MOL, these peeps had tied plastic apples on the tree. It was cool. I guess it’s an apple tree or a plastic apple tree. MOL
How artsy….a fine creation from peeps that have seen their fill of wintry landscapes.
Mom said we both had done very well and we should head home.
Mom was talking with our neighbour on our way home and he realized I was sitting in the stroller, so he asked about me and mom explained we went for a roll and stroll. He has two cats and was enthralled with the stroller. He said the pet stroller was, “Cutting edge” and I had to agree with him, at least for Prince George it was very *cutting edge*. I yelled at mom to hurry up and we were on the move again.
Kali met us at the door and was delighted to see us, mewing up a storm. I told her all about the sights we saw and she licked my head. Aww….sis…I had a good time. I’m sure tired though.
S’cuse my friends I must have a well deserved nap. Can you imagine the dreams I’ll have? MOL
Kali did you see a blur out of the corner of your eye. Sure enough Shoko, I did. I think its the little guy from next door again. He’s sure starting to hang around here a lot. I think he likes you Shoko. He wants to play with you. Ya think.
Hey, he disappeared, where’d that little curmudgeon go?
Here, I’ll help you look Shoko.Geesh, he just jumped out at me….cwap I nearly wet myself Kali. I was never this stupid as a kitten. No you weren’t Shoko……you were worse! I’d be fast asleep and you would leap right in front of me so when I opened my eyes all I saw was your face……then you’d smacky paw me with your claws out. They were just like little tiny pins. ME! I’m not like that….don’t wanna talk about it anymore Kali.
This guy is getting closer all the time.
Gimme a break! He wants to play with me. I can’t play with him. He’s too small…..I might hurt him. He’s lookin’ at the bugs too. He’s a real flit. Just like you were Shoko.
Thank goodness he’s gone home Kali. I don’t know if I could take much more of him.
Today was a mellow day. We all spent most of the day enjoying the new growth of Spring.
We got a little sapling lilac tree last year from our bald headed neighbour. We now see the new growth starting.
The Alpine Willy Clematis is very early every year and is about to bloom.
Alpine Willy Clematis
Mom has been weeding the lily bed and we have been watching by the catnip. Mom’s way to handle the catnip is to block off two of them…letting them grow. One is opened for our use…and usually has fur all over it. When this one gets down, mom picks the fur off and wraps chicken wire around it but opens one of the good ones. This way there is catnip all summer long.
The next 2 weeks are planting weeks. All the soil and added nutrients need to be rototilled in my veggie garden and the potato patch. This is dad’s job. Planting the potatoes and veggies are mom and my job. The perennials need more bone meal this year too. Lots to do yet.
Doesn’t my veggie patch look nekked. Remember this picture in July. I can work wonders with my green paw.
