It’s that fun day when we fill in some words to form sentences. This idea was the brainchild of Ellen at 15 and Meowing and Annie of McGuffy’s Reader.
Mom and dad checked the hotel room a few times to make sure they didn’t leave anything behind. Then it was off to Heathrow Airport. Peeps had told mom it was a very hard airport to get through as it was huge. It was very large but staff at the airport helped mom, so going through security was much easier. They were even early for the plane so looked at various shops. Heathrow is very large with much walking.
The plane ride to Vancouver was very similar to the plane ride to Paris. So I won’t bore you with details. When mom saw the sands of the beach near UBC (University of British Columbia), she got very excited. We are sorry about the poor quality of the photo but the plane wasn’t all that close to the beach. MOL
Upon landing at Vancouver Airport, dad was grabbing the luggage off the carousel when mom came moseying along to remind dad what our luggage looked like. Talk about giving the, “evil eye!” Dad ‘s look could have stopped a Canada Goose in mid honk!
When mom and dad got into their motel room, mom called Barb co-author of, “Nellie, On The Edge.” Barb was not far away and came over to the motel room. They chatted and laughed and then figured it was time to go see a special lady and have supper. Off they went to Barb’s new townhouse. Mom loved the townhouse except for the many stairs but Barb said all this walking is paying off. She had become a few pounds lighter. When they got to the livingroom…..there was Nellie, just hangin’ out.
At this point Barb told mom and dad she made a pot roast with all the trimmings for dinner. They all charged into the kitchen. Although mom and dad were not very hungry as it was 3am in London. If mom is going to have beef, she wants pot roast….this is her favourite beef meal. What a scrumptious meal. Sorry no pictures. If we were home, mom would have asked for a kitty bag. MOL
Time to return to the motel. Nellie was getting ready for a snooze so mom and dad were quiet and let Nellie snuggle down. These are the last pictures of Nellie. It was her time to leave for the Rainbow Bridge. We were so fortunate to know this lovely Queen.
Mom and dad left for Prince George the next morning. I was delighted to see mom and wouldn’t leave her alone all night. I whacked her on the head when she fell asleep. I wanted loves. Kali wouldn’t look at mom but chattered away to dad. Three days later Kali decided mom was ok after all.
We hope you enjoyed mom and dad’s jaunt to the old country. They brought back a virus with them and were laid up for three weeks after arriving home but they’re fine now.
Thank yous so much for the ride, Marvin. Yous are the nicest moosie mes ever met. Heys, Shoko what’s yous looking ats? I got an idea to get back at Cow Kitty…..again. First you and Kali must make a big snowball and I’ll build a contraption to deal with it.
Mom wants to give you your medicine and wants you to have a nice warm nap, Nellie. We’ll come snuggle cause we’re all cold. I wish you didn’t have to go home tomorrow Nellie. Mes too Shoko but mommy worries about mes so it is for the bestest that I gos home. Maybe mes can come back in the spring when its warm and yous planting your vegetable garden Shoko. We would have a fine time in the dirt Nellie. It’s so light I can bat it all over the place.
May you have a friend that insists you don’t snore but purr while sleeping.
Morning Kali. *Yawn* Super nap. It’s wonderful up here. Is there anything nicer than a pile of clothes to snuggle into and keep warm? Ya, but Shoks, the clothes haven’t been washed yet….they’re dirty. You know mom and dirty…nothing’s ever very dirty around here….not even you or me. So what’s got you up and into the laundry room Kali….you never come in here? I heard mom talking to dad about a pet stroller. I never heard of a pet stroller….is there such a thing? Do they put pets in the stroller instead of kids? I would like to see the terrier down the street in a stroller…MOL MOL MOL It’d be hilarious! No Shoks, the stroller will be for us!
What? For us? No way is anybody getting me in NO dang stroller!! I ain’t nobody’s baby….geesh!
This sucks! I don’t think so Shoks. I’d love a ride in a stroller…my feet and hips wouldn’t hurt . What? You mean you don’t care if Cow Kitty calls you a wimp? You know how embarrassed you were when he called you a mean white furball to his friends. That was just rude Shoko….typical of a growing dudecat that can’t get a rise out of me any other way.
Mom…oh mom I heard from Kali that you’re planning on getting a pet stroller for us…..is this true? Whatdaya mean by aha? I’m no baby and don’t want to be pushed all over the neighbourhood with my friends giggling behind my back.
Let’s forget the whole idea mom…ok? No….you think Kali really needs the help? You lost me mom. All I hear from you now is yada, yada, yada! It’s not fair…this sucks big time.
C’mon Kali let’s mellow out and relax….mom can be so stubborn.
At least the stroller’s not here yet….that means we have more time to change mom’s mind.
It was a cold day today. The wind was whistlin’ around the house. Kali and I went outside for a New York minute. I’ve heard this is a very short minute and that was us after breakfast. So, what to do? We usually go out and enjoy the fresh air…we don’t give a cwap for the fresh air that’s out their today. I sat and helped mom at the computer. Just thought I’d help ya, mom. Aww….did you know there’s a catnip sack here? Is this just for me? What do you mean I’m not helping. I thought I was….you didn’t want that catnip sack taking up room…I could have taken it off your paws, mom.
Goody, we get to play in the basement….I’m ready! Oh no, I have to wear this contraption again.
Kali was also busy trying to help mom.
Kali made sure the Kitty Litter tray smelled clean. Mom carried Kali and the Kit Lit tray into the laundry room for a kit lit refill. We were beat after helping out, so decided a nap was called for. Notice the box mom found for us. It was my turn to sleep in it.
