1. A book I would like to see made into a movie is ...THE WARRIOR SAGA .  THERE ARE FOUR PEEPS THAT WRITE THE BOOKS AND USE THE PSEUDONYM ERIN GREY. THE STORIES ARE ABUNDANT AND JERK ON YOUR EMOTIONS AS ONE DOES GET ATTACHED TO THE CHARACTERS.                                                             TAKE A PEEK AT THE WARRIOR BOOKS AT http://www.warriorcats.com/books.

2. If I could afford a billboard, it would say:                                                        Then we’d watch peeps feel guilty for not hugging their cat before they left the house. MOL

My turn Shoko.  Take it away Kali.

3. I have a hard time SHARING my salmon treats.  They are so good.  I do share though….mom makes me.

4. I really enjoy …..SUN PUDDLES THEY ARE VERY HARD TO FIND AT THIS TIME OF YEAR BUT WE KEEP LOOKING.

NELLIE FOUND ONE…ISN’T THIS A HAPPY MEMORY?

Follow Through And a Great Idea

Mom and I weighed in this morning to start my, what would it be…it’s not a diet but a being conscious of how much I eat.  I know, this will be My SHOKO ALERT.  We only have to weigh in once a week. Then mom and I headed downstairs for my exercise wearing my tiger vest.  Well, mom headed down to the basement, I was very slow and followed 10 minutes later.  I mince along like a little old lady in a hurry.  Dad laughed at me…..I was so embarrassed….I gave him the evil eye like only I can do.

After our jaunt about the basement we headed upstairs.  Well, mom headed upstairs and I slowly followed.  It was time for Kali’s ointment for the patch of fur she’s scratched out.  Mom this is a really bad picture.  You should take a picture BEFORE you put the ointment on.  Now it looks like a wet and messy part of her fur.  Actually the bare spot is about the size of 4 silver dollars.  It’s a big patch.                                                                           kalibareskinKali was very good and even rolled on the side so she couldn’t scratch the bare patch.                                                                     kalizm

It’s very cold here again. The water outside is starting to freeze except on one side so the hotel clients can still get water. Not much of a sign of cats nor peeps.

Keep bundled up my friends and see ya on the flip side of cold.

May your ducks be in a row and your…

Hey Shoko…..I just heard Nellie’s been sick, really ill.  What?  My Nellie….the queen of The Cat From Hell?  Geez, how is she now, Kali?  I think she is a bit better.  What can we do for our fellow Canuck that will cheer her up?  I know Kali….how about if we have her up for a visit?  It’s awful cold up here, Shoko.  She’s certainly not used to the cold anymore what with living in the banana belt of BC.  We can keep her warm inside and I know she’d love to see the hotel guests.  She can hiss or stick out her tongue at them.  It’ll be fun.  We have to ask her mom first Shoko and then do whatever her mom thinks is right.  Let’s call Nellie and tell her of our plan.

RRRRRRINGGGGG

Hello?  Is this you, Nellie…The Cat From Hell’s queen?                                                              aacellphoneshokIt’s mes.  This must be Shoko from the north?  Ya, MOL.  How are you feelin’ Nellie?  Mes is better but not on top of things. We even got a picture of you here on the phone. You are lookin’ real good to us girlfriend. Kali is with me and we wanted to know how you feel about visiting with us for a bit?  Mes never been way up there.  Mes want to go visit you and Kali.  I must tell mom but she’ll want to know how we’ll get there.  I have a magic carpet which makes the ride in seconds.  You won’t have the chance to get cold.                                                            nandphoneMes excited but mommy must be told and it depends on her.  I’ll ask her tonight Shoko and let you know.  Sounds good Nellie.  Really build it up Nellie so she’ll feel guilty saying no.  You know, use the tricks you taught me in Cat From Hell classes.  MOL, good memory Shoko.  Tuttees Shoko…Ring my chimes Nellie…MOL..Mew later.

Easy We Love Ya

Normally this is a happy blog and a place of sanctuary from the battering of life but last night Easy left us for the Rainbow Bridge.  We adored Easy and he was a good friend to us girls, often offering us DIY info.  When you get down to it, Easy was a friend to all in Blogville.  He loved everyone.                                               easyThanks Sammy of, One Spoiled Cat.  You have managed to put together a beautiful tribute picture for us to remember him by.

We loved Easy and will always adore his memory.  At this sad time, a picture keeps popping up in mom’s mind and it warms her heart.  We wish to share it with you and it is meant in love and respect.                                                                easys-tunnelEvery time mom looks at this picture of Easy arriving at Shoko’s 7th Gotcha Day Party from France, she gets a smile on her face.  We hope it brings a smile to your face also.

Watch over all your friends in Blogville, Easy.  We love ya!                                                       easy-looking-at-shokoWe will always be your Catada Cats.

Read Me A Story

Piglove and Gentlestitches are hosting this reading of a story.  We intend to do a book review also.                                                        Reading                                                                          We read many cat books because of our story time every night, some are good and some are alright.  There are very few books out there that we do not like at least some part of the story.  However, books written from the cat’s perspective have a special place in our hearts.  The following book employs this technique with great success.                                                                                 aaakaThe book we are reviewing is called, “Black Cat and The Accidental Angel” written by Elaine Faber.   This book is the third and as yet the final book in the series.  From the moment we started reading……we were hooked.   The story begins where the previous story, “Black Cat and The Lethal Lawyer” leaves off.    Thumper and his family are heading home from their visit in Texas.  They are not far from home when suddenly, the SUV is in an accident and the carrier with the cats in it is thrown from the vehicle, landing in an awkward place that is impossible for the family to find.  The adventure begins as Angel and Thumper try to find their way home.   One massive problem exists, Thumper has lost his memory and doesn’t even know who the cat is with him.                                                              accang

These two cats have many adventures while attempting to walk home.  Mom laughed, sniffled and down right cried.  She got that attached to the kitties and their struggles.  The plot twists kept her reading when she normally would quit for the night.  The ending came way too quickly for us.  So in short, I would say if you want a boring book to read so you can fall asleep quickly, don’t get, “Black Cat and the Accidental Angel.”  However, if you want an excellent read with cats that are real to life, DO buy, “Black Cat and the Accidental Angel.”  The only thing left for us to do is get Elaine Faber to write a fourth book in the, “Black Cat” series. MOL

The author forwarded pictures of the cats that were her muses for Thumper and Angel.  I thought you would be as delighted to see them as we were.

Boots alias Black Cat/ThumperThis charmer’s name is Boots alias Black Cat and Thumper.

aangelzmMeet  gorgeous Amber, alias Noe Noe and Angel.

These precious kitties live with the author and happily share their lives.

Now, without further adieu mom is going to read part of the first chapter of, “Black Cat and The Accidental Angel” on video.  Please excuse her feet as she was relaxing and laying back.

Mom only read a portion of the first chapter.  To see how the story goes, you’ll just have to get the book.

Hope you’ve enjoyed peeking in our bedroom…we enjoyed the company.  Ya all come back now…..ya hear. MOL                                                                   Kali and Shoks

Reflections on Kali’s Gotcha Day

What a day it was yesterday.  I had such a great time with my friends.  Shoko and I were MOL for hours.  In fact my face hurts from smiling so much.  So today is a relaxing day on the deck.  Shoko’s out in the Lane looking for mice.  You know, she hasn’t caught one this spring at all.  Usually she’s caught 4 by now.  Lost 3 and scared mom by running at her with a live mouse…MOL…owww…my face. *holds mouth with paw*

Here are Nellie of The Cats from Hell, Shoko and me singing some ancestral songs from Thailand.

♫ We are Siamese, if you please.♫

♫ We are Siamese, if you please.♫

Then there was the dancing Bacon of Piglove and I were doing for about an hour. No picture here as mom was not impressed with the upturned table and the jumping on the sofa and chairs. This was totally my fault as I got right into the beat and wanted Bacon to do some break dancing. Bacon being the lovable oinker he is, obliged! That’s when mom shuffled us outside.

One totally surprising visitor was Easy of Easy Blog, all the way from France.  He said he slipped onto a commercial airliner and they didn’t notice him. Mmmm?  He is one big guy…they didn’t notice him?  He’s a huge Weimaraner….at least to me he is.  I guess he doesn’t want to discuss how he got here.

Easy and I had a deep discussion about the virtues of cotton blankies as opposed to wool.
