Tyebe Tuesday

Let me in Budd.  I have no thumbs, Tyebe. I couldn’t let you in if I tried.   Besides, I can’t jump up that high.  Get dad then.  No!  He’s in the basement.

I’ll freeze you with my ice cold blue eyes, then. Not likely you white cyclone. Will too! Get back here Budd and let me heat you.

Geez, Budd’s in a cantankerous mood today. Some people’s kits, really. Oh look Budd found our snake. Let me have it Budd….well, ok Tyebe.

I got the sucker!

Budd do you want the snake? Yes, I do Tyebe!

Over to you Budd….knock him dead….please, Shoko hates snakes.

We are joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday. Please pop over and visit with them.

Tyebe are you hiding behind the ferns……well get outta there girl.
I’ll chase you around the backyard, cause I’m the monster from the lane.  ARRRGGGHH!                                                             He’ll never find her in the ferns.  She went in the house about an hour ago.  Budd fell asleep in the garden and lost track of her. mol  Younguns!                                                                      I think Budd’s bellowing for me but I’m tired so I don’t give a whisker what he wants.
Where is that girl.  Ohhhh the bed looks inviting.  This is the place for my art.

This is a great place for a mid-afternoon nappy pooh.
Mom used Lunapic Illusion at 53% for this effect.  It’s bold but I do stand out.
Come see us at Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty.  Better yet jump in and join us with your art of the day.

Sunday Selfie with Tyebe

Woohoo, it’s The Cat On My head’s Sunday Selfie day and I’s went out in the yard for me selfie.  Just click on the blob name…oh sorry, me’s mean blog name and see all the fun anipals posing for you.

Some guy said kittens under the age of 3 months can’t get any enjoyment out of catnip.  I’s was a bit reserved at first.

Well I’s 3 months and 4 days so me’s enjoying the cwabs out of it. mol *hic*

What makes me’s feel so good when I’s chomp down on this plant?
I’s wonder if Shokos knows about this catnip stuffs?  Me’s must ask her tonight when I’s jump on her head.

That was fun, mom. Let’s do it again. No…awww, you’re mean to me’s. I’s a good girl I’s am and deserve more nip. Tomorrow? OK, deal….tomorrow.

Have a happy Sunday friends.

Shopping Around the World With Shoko

Another month and another Shopping and Cooking Around the World with our host Bacon of Piglove.

We are supposed to show you what our ‘go to’ meal is. You know, when you come home pooped and don’t feel like making a big meal that everyone devours in 5 minutes. Mom has a few of those type of meals but dad’s favourite is Pizza with extras.

Mom got the 2 pizzas at Real Canadian Superstore for $2.98 each – $5.96

1 can sliced black olives = $1.18

100 mg. of Black Forest Ham = $3.67

100 mg. of pizza pepperoni = $1.92

There….. all your ingredients cost $12.73.  That’s for 2 pizzas with enough leftovers to make another meal.                                                      INSTRUCTIONS:  Place the black olive slices on the pizza first.  Put on as many as you like.  Then place the ham all over the black olives and finally, your pepperoni spread out to cover the ham.  Follow the directions on the outside of the pizza cartons for cooking.  You’re finished.

I am sorry, everyone seemed to jump in and take their pizza…..photos be damned!

Sunday Selfie with Shoko

What a quiet day it is today.  It’s been raining and cool….quite cool.  So I packed up my straw and left for my tent without a roof.                                              Now, you may be asking yourself…,”What does Shoko need a straw for?”  Well, there are the obvious benefits of straw play. A chew and a bat teaches the straw not to run from me again.  There is one not so obvious use for a straw.  I suck up some nip and wash it down with tuna juice…..man what a kick! MOL

However, as a newbie I tried shoving the straw up my nose and snorting the nip into my nose.  A terrible idea….I was plugged solid for an hour.  Kali had to help me get the nip outta my nose and the straw….what a mess.  You know I didn’t get any kick just little bits of nip outta my nose every time I mewed.  I was annoyed.

A mini lesson for those tempted to shove a straw up their nose and partake of the nip.  Don’t bother…the mess is not worth it.

Onwards to The Cat On My Head’s selfie Sunday.

Do stop by their blog and admire your friend’s selfies or better yet….jump in and join them.

My selfie for this Sunday.

Friends…..enjoy a lovely Sunday.

A Surprise Visitor With a First Class Idea

KALI…..ORANGE
PHOEBE….. Green

Hi Phoebe!  I haven’t seen you in like forever.  Come to think of it you’ve never been to our place.                                                                              Hey Kali it’s neat here.  Only you and Shoko live here with your mom and dad?   Yep, I like that cause you could get attention immediately if not sooner.  I’d miss Sammy P and a couple of the others though.  It’s a happy place at 15 and Meowing.

Here Phoebe have a Mint Junip.  They are very tasty.  All the ingredients are organic and straight from our garden.

Mmmm, tasty Kali.  I suppose you’re wondering…what I’m doing here and what do I want.  It has crossed my mind Phoebe.  Everything OK?  Hmm….oh of course everything at home is fine.  I was thinking about us more experienced female felines.  The ones that are 15 and over.  We should have a special place for just us ladies to hang out.  Our interests are different from the young uns’.  I like it Phoebe!  How about a badge that is descriptive of us with member cards?  That sounds good Kali.                                                                                           We look sharp KaliThat’s cause we are Phoebs.                                                                           Here is the member card.  We’ll tell everyone that this is a social group open to any female feline 15 or over.  Mom says anyone that joins, she will make them a hat.  Wow,  your mom must be talented.  Wouldn’t your mom make a hat for members?  Yea, she would make them a hat but nobody would appreciate her effort ….mom doesn’t crochet or sew very well.

Interested in joining ,contact Kali at jeanneil@telus.net or Phoebe at 15 and Meowing.

Here a Seed…There a Seed

We are starting our seeds…or some of them today.  The ones that need to be transplants before we put them outside, are slowly being planted in small containers.  We use fruit cups or tiny yogurt containers and punch holes in the bottom.  We use starter mix as this form of medium as it is not as dense as potting soil.  If the seeds sit for a long time in wet soil they will rot.                                                                                   This size is ideal for the wee seeds.                                                           The three type of seeds we are concerned with today are Chervil, Hamburg Parsley and Poached Egg Plants.  These seeds were sent to us from the Flowery Prose blog.  Cheryl lives in Alberta so our climates are similar.

Sunflower…does not take long to start sprouting and grows huge quickly so we will leave it till the last.

Chervil or Anthriscus cerefolium is similar to parsley. The leaves have a mild aniseed taste. Chervil has medicinal and culinary uses.  In French cuisine, it is one of the four herbs, along with chives, tarragon, and parsley, which make up the delicate bouquet “fines herbes”.                                                                Hamburg Parsley or Petroselinum crispum.  Germination may take up to three weeks.  Hamburg parsley is grown for its parsnip like root but the leaves can be used as well because they taste like parsley.  It takes 3 to 4 months for Hamburg Parsley to mature.

Poached Egg Plant:  or Limnanthes douglasii   The poached egg plant is an annual that is  easy to grow and is recommended for children to grow as they are getting used to the thrill of gardening.. The plant usually bears white flowers with yellow centers, hence the name “poached egg plant”,

We have started the transplants for this summer….at least some of them.  We plant the transplants outside in the first or second week of June when any chance of night frost has passed.                                                                     You know I could jump in the tray and play scatter the dirt. MOL  Oh My…did I say that out loud?  I don’t know what came over me.  I even look guilty.

Have  a spring like day.  May the clouds pee all over you! MOL.  Good grief, what makes me say these things?
