When we last left Shoko she was shattered by the knowledge she has grey furs at the base of her tail. We tune in today to find Einstein’s reaction to Shoko’s devastating news about getting old. Kali on the other paw is rather enjoying Shoko’s turmoil. Payback time for all those sneak attacks and stolen treats.
What else could I do to cover my grey, Kali…something that’s cheap. I don’t have the money for a dye for just 2 inches on my tail. I know mom wouldn’t agree with it. Well, there is one other option that won’t cost anything. What is it Kali? Mom has felt pens for labelling food. I’ll bet she’d lend you her black one. Not a bad idea Kali.Mom would have to colour me….she has thumbs….we don’t. Mom can you colour me with your felt pen and cover the grey? Do you think this is such a good idea? What will happen when you go out in the snow or when your sister slops water on the floor and you decide to sit down? Cwap! I never thought of that. I guess the black would change the snow’s colour and make a black mark on the floor. It’s rude to laugh at my problem Kali! I can’t help it Shoko, you’re such a drama queen….jeepers! You know Einstein…….just talk to him and tell him about the grey furs. I’ll bet ya tonight’s dehydrated chicky treats he understands. I guess I have no choice. *sigh*I had mom write to Einstein and I was so worried but I received his e-mail so fast, I couldn’t believe it. This is the gist of the e-mail :
You could go Green and I would still call you my sweetest kitty dear! If your fur was falling out I would gather it and we would while away the hours taping it back on. That is how I love thee.
So you were right Kali. He understood and I worried for nothing. Did mom step
on my toys on the floor in the bedroom, Kali? Naw, I kicked them further under
the bed. She’ll find them when she cleans…MOL. You owe me your treats tonight.
Shoks. No problem Kali…they’re all yours. I’m too tired to argue. This lack of
sleep is not good, I may go greyer from the tension. *yawn*
Well, it seems like this is the year of the apple. Lawrence, the nice fellow from my favourite hang out….the junky vehicle house, has given mom and dad 10 pounds of apples from his two trees. Apparently the small ones are very sweet and crunchy.
Dad got busy and made an apple pie and apple tarts from scratch.
Looks beautiful. Mom says the tarts are delicious. They have yet to start on the pie.
Not to be out done mom decided to make a chicken pie. Nobody gave her a stewing fowl but she found one basking in the freezer. No pictures of the fowl either. But there is a picture of the pie.
This is the pie without the top crust. All pastry was NOT homemade but rather taken from a box. It’s easy to tell mom tried but failed miserably to make this pie look like it was professionally made. Apparently it tastes good. It looks atrocious but at least the flavour is there.
What were we doing while the bake off was going on?
Sorry, the picture is fuzzy but Kali was moving and mom doesn’t have an action camera but you get the idea.
It also happened to be the second snow fall of the season. We missed the first snowfall. Guess we slept through it but it looks the same the second time around.
It was cold so we all were entertaining ourselves. So, go do your thing and then just say, What do you expect when we’re bored!” MOL
