Hey Budd what’re you doing? Ok. stay in the box. I’m watching dad clean the fountain again. You know, I could do this myself.
Why does he put the water in this jug? It must do something special. I wonder if there’s nip in it? Oh my, I can’t lift the fountain, how would I pick it up? Need any help getting some nip juice, dad? No! Well, ok….I’ll let you handle it, dad.
Budd, I was no help. *sigh* I couldn’t pick up the fountain or even the nip jug. I’ll bet you told dad if the water was cold enough though, Tyebe. I did, Budd and I told dad the water was very clean and no soap suds. You did a great job then, Tyebe. I’m sure dad appreciated it.
I need some help at what else I can do for dad.
TYEBE…..POWDER BLUE BUDD…..GEEKY GREEN

Shoko is doing her Tai Chi so she will be on the next post. She feels she needs more centering as her middle chakra is out of whack. Shoko’s instructor is very agile.

Geez, I’m really sorry dad. I thought a burp was coming up, I didn’t realize it was my snack coming back for an encore. It must have been the fly I ate that was buzzing around my head.. He must have eaten something that didn’t agree with me. No, I didn’t eat too much. Well, maybe just a wee bit more than normal.
It’ll take no time at all to clean. Here, I’ll help dad.
What’s this floating in here. Uh, dad, I don’t think this part of the fly should be here anymore.
It’s looking good, dad. What’s that? Oh, It’s part of the fountain. I didn’t know that! This fountain is cool. There we go. Nice and clean again.
Now it’s time for Shoko’s wisdom words, otherwise known as Meezer Proverbs.
Whattt….oh, right, Meezer Proverbs. I drifted off to fantasyland but I’m back now.
“The wise meezer will demand and get respect from his roomies. If, your roomie doesn’t act respectful, screech until he gets the message. He will bow to your wishes after that.”
Thanks toPiglove and Fozziemum for providing us a forum to tell everybody our recipes. Go Bacon!
We are supposed to be cooking up a Thanksgiving side dish but our Thanksgiving was last month, in October. Mom and dad won’t appreciate anything to do with a turkey so close to Christmas. The peeps in the States can hack it. Well, we’re a little different.
So what are we cooking then Shoko? Mom says she’s making up fish cakes. How un-Thanksgiving like. Well, this dish is for a break after all that turkey. Most of her ingredients are from the vegetable garden….but not the salmon Shoko. Too bad, we could be rich if mom could grow fish out in the garden.
What’s that Elfin John doing? You want to help us? We don’t need your help, thank you. I think we should let him help, Shoko. He may be turning over a new leaf and who are we to stop his progress. I don’t believe it Kali and now I feel guilty. Oh, alright,,,,he can help us.
Here is a picture of the ingredients.
Here is a picture of the ingredients mom forgot to show in the first photo.
Now that you’re confused we’ll tell you the ingredients:
1 onion, diced…$.030
1/4 cup shredded carrot…..garden…optional
4 average old potatoes…..garden
1/4 cup green pepper…$0.25
1/4 cup red pepper……$0.25
4 drops Worcester sauce…optional…cupboard
celery leaves….2 tbsps..optional
1/2 cup frozen peas
Sockeye salmon…..150 grams (5.3 ounces)… $5.25
Mom sends to St, Jean’s Cannery for her salmon. Wonderful tasting salmon. St. Jean’s Cannery is in the city of Nanaimo where Nanaimo Bars were invented.
We are all ready to get underway.
Fry the peppers, onion, potatoes, dill, fall, nip, Kali, electric, cakes and shredded carrot, until they are just soft. Throw them into the mashed potatoes with Worcester sauce. Add the dill and all other ingredients. Your mixture is set to be fried. Hey you…Elfin!!! Get away before you fall in.
Good grief, I need a nip smoothie. This little guy is getting to me.
Thank you Kali.
Now, lets get out the electric fry pan. Turn the temperature to high and spray a bit of oil in the bottom of the pan, about a tbsp. Shape the cakes into round shapes about the size of a hamburger patty. When these rounds are in the frying pan press them flatter with a spatula. Our fry pan holds 7 medium fish cakes.
These are the cooking fish cakes. Mom is not great at flipping them over but she’s the boss. There you have it friends. Now for a sip of my nip smoothie.
1. Peace….. IS RELATIVE. IF, THERE IS NO FRICTION, THERE IS NO PROGRESS. WE NEED ILLNESSES, FIGHTS AND EVEN WARS TO FIND SOLUTIONS TO THESE PROBLEMS. WE DISCOVER HOW FORTUNATE WE REALLY ARE WHEN WE SEE HOW HARD LIFE CAN BE. FOOLED YOU, DIDN’T I? I THINK ABOUT THINGS VERY DEEPLY….EVEN IF I’M KNOWN AS A BIT OF A NIPHEAD.
2. I need to …..TELL EVERYONE IN THE FAMILY HOW VALUABLE THEY ARE TO ME AND HOW THEY HELP ME BE MYSELF….., but I keep procrastinating.
3. A friend is…..SOMEONE THAT STANDS BESIDE YOU NO MATTER WHAT. THEY MAY NOT AGREE WITH YOU BUT WILL TRY AND HELP YOU. THEY ASK NO QUESTIONS BUT ARE JUST THERE FOR YOU.
4. I try to…..BE A FRIEND FOR MOM AND KALI. KALI JUST NEEDS TO KNOW I AM THERE FOR HER. WHEN SHE’S HAVING TROUBLE WALKING, I TAP HER LEGS SO SHE’S AWARE I KNOW SHE’S HAVING PROBLEMS BUT I WILL BE WITH HER WHENEVER SHE NEEDS ME. MOM JUST NEEDS ME TO BE ME AND PLAY WITH HER FEATHER WAND.
May you be smart enough to know a tomato is a fruit and wise enough not to put it in a fruit salad.
I heard some bad news the other day and thought it was time to ask for everyone in Blogville’s help. Lexi, the schnauzer, was told she has cancer, Her mom had the invading lumps removed but Lexi also has a mass in her lung. *sigh* I get very upset when I think of what Lexi’s going through. Please, read Lexi’s post and read what’s happening….just click on Lexi’s post. Lexi, the schnauzer, sure could use some extra help , bring on your best team.
Lexi is having a hard time with the chemo as its giving her an upset tummy to the point where she doesn’t want to eat. Let’s use the POTP to help Lexi relax, eat and tackle this disease.
Please feel free to take the badge, put it in your sidebar and ask for the POTP from your commenters.
Good grief, we thought you two would never wake up! You both slept for more than 48 hours. *Yawn* We were very tired. I guess everything that has happened caught up with us.
Hello and thank you for all your help. Not many would put up with us and keep us warm and as dry as possible. My name is Willow and I am Sky’s big sister. We have been staying in Williams Creek for several weeks now. We managed to find enough food to keep rollin’ on. The nights were the worst….the male stones that worked sifting gold all day would get totally stoned and want to rock with ladies and harass us. They would finally settle on some cheap looking cracked rocks that wereout for a good time.
I was taught stone physiology and am able to work as a nurse for any sand based shape. I have helped several female rocks give birth to the tiniest of pebbles. This is the satisfying part of being a Stoned Nurse. I am capable of helping a hurt stone or pebble. What happened to your mom? Mom left to pursue her dreams of becoming a Herbalist Stone. Oregano is a tranquil and calming herb to us, so mom found a school in Quesnel (kwa-nel) that deals with the properties of herbs and has a course designed for us. Before mom left us she said she wasn’t coming back to Barkerville and wished us the best and then she rolled on with her worldly belongings in a knapsack. We were sad for awhile but she was doing what she always wanted to do and when we saw your carrying bag laying on the grass we knew it was our chance to leave Barkerville forever. So we rolled on over to your blue bag and the flat cats helped us hop aboard. So, why did you run into the Lane? We were worried about you. Sky was quite worried. Well Kali I panicked. There were so many cats….granted they were mostly flats but they scared me. Well, we’re all here now and lets enjoy each others company.
Let me tell you my friends. We had a rude awakening yesterday when we opened Easy’s blog and found out his dad had fallen off the roof of their house. I tell you mom was in a panic. I don’t see her this upset very often but upset she was. She couldn’t help Easy or his mom. They live in France. Easy’s dad had been in the hospital for hours by the time she read the post.
Mom heard from Easy’s mom last night and felt better….not until today and viewing Easy’s post did she breathe a sigh of relief along with the rest of Blogville. This is a tight community and if one of us is injuried or hurt, it effects all of us. I’m very proud of my fellow bloggers. You are FABULOUS my friends.
Our hearts were with Easy and his mom and of course his dad too. Can’t wait to see Easy sleeping with his dad again.
