Tyebe Tuesday does Happy Tuesday

It’s getting cool outside. BRRRR…

I wanted to play in the Lane but it’s too cool. Nobody else is out either except Shoko.                                                                        I tried looking for bugs but they were all in their wee houses and nobody wanted to come out and play.                                                                                   Even Shoks doesn’t want to stay outside.  Mmmm does she dislike the cool or did she tick someone off in the Lane?  Not sayin’ eh Shoks?  None of your bee’s wax Tyebe.  I’ve always wanted to know, is bee’s wax really honey in disguse?  *Shoko rolls her eyes.*  Hurry up dad Shoko wants inside.  I’m going to find some place warm in the backyard.

This is the place to be! A little moisture for my white furry locks….keeps them looking shiny. The heat is fantastical.

Here’s Shoko with a Meezerism to challenge the little grey cells.

“♫ A fence is a fence of course, of course,
unless of course, the fence is more than
6 feet high. Then it’s a barrier.♫ “

A catchy little tune from “The Famous Mr. Ed.”  Way back in the 60’s mom said.

I’ll bet you’ll be carrying that tune around in your head for a few hours. MOL

It’s Christmas…NO….it’s Boxing Day…NO……It’s the day after..Pt. 1

Kali what a fun day…do you think mom will go for Christmas next month too?  Seriously Shoko?  Well, ya.  Look at everything that happened Christmas and Boxing Day and you tell me.  We started Christmas Day bright and early at 9am.  Mom staggered out of a warm bed, quickly followed by you heading for the presents.                                                         aashoksniffcamdlesmThese candles smell nice.  Where’s my prezzie from Einstein?  You got olives in your stocking?  Did you do something bad?  Yuck!!

I had fun in the wrappings and tried hiding.                                                                                aakalipapersLooks like I put a bit of weight on over Christmas.  I’ll have to suck it up and not pose from the side.  Where’s my prezzie from Einstein?                                                                                aakalismpapersI’m blending in with the papers.

Einey sent Da Bird to me so I was playing with mom and leaping around the bed.  I was jumping on the bed not mom…let’s clear that up right now.

aadabirdcrzm

Woo hoo, I love this bird!!  I can even catch it.

Kali received a couple of atomic bouncing balls and some Pure Bites chicky boobs from Buddy.  Us gals were delighted and thank Einstein and Buddy from The Tomcat Commentary by Timmy with whisker kisses and gentle head butts.                                                        aapurebitesMmmm….you gotta try these friends….they melt in your mouth.                                                    aachicktreatsChristmas Day was enjoyed by all.  We slowly crept away and waited for mom to read our story.                                                              akalishokteeth-doneMom is reading Me-Yeow by Jeanne Foguth.  The 4th book in the Sea Purrtectors Series.  Mom just started reading so we’ll let you know when she finishes..

Merry Christmas Eve Day my friends.  I’m getting so excited, I’m going to split right down the middle if Christmas morning isn’t here very soon.  Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty is having a Christmas Eve Day exhibit of the talented artists in Blogville.  Simply click HERE and be flicked over to her place.

Here, I look so delighted mom put the Santa hat on my head.

aashokocrThis is as happy I could get with a Santa hat strapped to my head.  Mom must think I’m a clue….I know I’m a kitty and so does anyone that looks at me.  Really!!

We have my happy, smiling face artsied up by Lunapic in the art of Waves.  Mom thought the waves looked frozen so the inside of the house looks frozen as do I.  What do you think…frozen or waves?

wavesshokoI think my head is getting frozen.  I have pimples.  I don’t like this one mom.

May you never be too old to look in the sky for Santa on Christmas Eve.

Sunday Selfies with Shoko

The Cat on my HeadHere it is Sunday already.  Time for the Sunday Selfies with our awesome blog hop host The Cat On My Head.  After admiring my selfie….visit the others and see which want to pose and which ones are flyin’ by the seat of their furs.

Today I am the stand in for Kali who is kinda spacy and wishes to be left alone with her tiara.

Mom ordered me a vest instead of my harness seeing I was able to rid myself of the harness in very little time.  I got a tiger type vest and mom placed me in it and…..nothing happened.  I would not move.                                                             aaashokovest3I don’t like this!  It feels more secure and there’s no wiggle room.  I look like a wee tiger with a big head.

I guess we’re going to have to practice in the basement again.  I was quite happy with the harness.

Treats?  Ahhh…I’m not movin’.  I don’t care for those treats anyway.  Put some good ones down and we’ll mew.                                                                         aashokovest2

May your selfie reflect the REAL you.

Remember Me Thursday

Yes, I remember the wonderful days vividly!  Those carefree days of summer in the veggie garden.  I watched Cow Kitty make a fool of himself attacking the pea netting.                                                             aaaagardenshoksmI’m sniffing to see if there is enough water here for the peas…..if not I must contribute…MOL

Cow Kitty was delighted to be back in the vegetable garden too.  Sitting up on the frame for the peas, surveying the garden..  See how well the Scarlet Runner beans produced this year.                                                                         aackbeans

I dipped my paws in the pool water. The pool was an oasis for all thirsty creatures that braved Fort Meezer.  We did have more water in the pool.  Luckily there were no ducks swimming in it.  Cow Kitty would have leaped in the pool if that happened.

We were introduced to our new stroller. I had reservations. I mean a basket on wheels?  Seriously?  I had no idea of the thrills ahead.

Get outta here you yappy woofies….your mama wears diapers!!  MOL…..hiththtth!                                                   aaaaaashokostroll

Kali was delighted with a slow stroll through the neighbourhood. She is very nosy and happy when out and about meeting peeps.

Kali was happy to let the woofies be and enjoy the fresh air.

We had several walks down the Lane.  Cow Kitty even came with us.  I didn’t like him with us, he’s too bossy.                                                  aaaaashokckkaliOh mom, can you enlarge this picture?  Kali is way behind on the right hand side but she looks like a dot.  She always seems to dance to her own tune.                                                                      ackskalIs that the best you can do?  Kali’s still a dot but everyone can see I’m telling Cow Kitty off and he could care less.

We participated with the others with Phoebe’s sunglasses.  I felt like a movie star but all was dark.  Kali wore them too. She’s not impressed with mom putting them on.  Whatever!!

shoktonguecurl

Kali and I entered a few events at the Pawlympics, Easy’s Tuneful Farting, Noodle’s Tongue Rolls and Raspberries and Dezi’s Fly Fishin’.  My favourite was Easy’s Tuneful Farting cause it really messed with Kali’s head. MOL                                                                          kalitunefulfartingKali is embarrassed because ladies don’t talk of these terrible bodily functions.

We won  ribbons and a certificate for our efforts in Easy’s Tuneful Farting.                                                                   img_0815

This summer I had two teeth out and met the substitute Tooth Fairy.  Scary and hairy!                                                                           atoothfairyMom took me for a walk on my harness and found out I can slip out of the harness like a magician.                                                                      aashokcrleashMOL….that was fun!  The look on mom’s face was priceless.

These have been great summer moments in our lives and a fantabulous way to share on Remember me Thursday.

To keep peeps up to date.  Here is a picture of mom’s finger without the bandage.  No more drugs or pain just a little tightness on the finger.                                                              aafingerniShe gets the stitches out tomorrow.  She’s some happy about it.

There you have it our happy memories of the summer.  Tomorrow is the first day of Fall and the cold weather.

A Stitch In The Finger….. Hurts!

Mom had minor surgery today on her baby finger.  When the orthopedic surgeon put the replacement joint in her baby finger, 5 years ago, he had already fused the joint.  Mom could never understand why he did this but so be it.  After living with this misplaced joint, she discovered writing was more difficult because the joint rubbed, was a nuisance and with repeated use, hurt. Also with this rubbing, the joint area turned black.
Mom will tell you what happened in her own words…take it away mom
Thanks Kali.

I went to the hospital a little earlier than our appointment and the doctor took me early. Let me tell you about this procedure while it’s still fresh in my mind.  I went into this room called Minor Surgery #2.  The nurse asked my address, phone # and
where I lived…just to make sure I had all my marbles before the procedure started, I guess.  I managed to get all the answers right, so we carried on.  Dr P came in and explained….very roughly, what he was going to do to my finger.  It sounded ghastly so I tuned him out, and only caught the odd word.  Humming *California Dreamin’* in my head, I got on the table with a bit of assistance from the nurse.  Delighted my  own bed was so much more comfy.  I didn’t like lying flat, so had them adjust my bed.  I must admit my tummy sure disappeared though.  Once a bit more comfortable we carried on.  My hand was cleaned with some antiseptic stuff that ran down my arm and was freezing cold.  I mentioned that antiseptic was running down my arm and the Dr. said they’d get it….they forgot all about it.  Onward….we went with three huge needles to my finger area.  One shot between the ring and baby finger, right at the web part.  The next shot was on the finger near the joint.  The final shot was on the side of my palm.   These areas are tender as a baby’s butt.  The final touch was the tourniquet on my upper arm.  The tourniquet was so very tight, it was a hurtin’ something fierce.  Perhaps this was to take my attention away from the finger.  A bloodless operation.  I liked the sound of that.  I was told the tourniquet was just for a *few minutes*. The doctor worked, the nurse restocked the bandage cabinet and I lay on the steel bed counting the dents in the ceiling.  The next thing that happened was the Dr. asking for an instrument from the nurse who seemed to have left.  The doctor was getting agitated and ended up shouting for her in the corridor.  I swear only in Prince George would this happen. Shortly, the nurse came rushing in the room after telling us she took some garbage to the trash room.  I hope she washed her hands.  I got back to counting the multitude of dents in the ceiling as all was in order once again.  Dr P declared he was putting the stitches in and then I’d be free to go.  My, I deserved a fun food for going through this crap.  But what, chocolate covered raisins, chocolate bark( big slab of chocolate) or pumpkin cookies.  Decisions, decisions! Dr, P finished up and the very last thing the nurse did was to loosen the tourniquet.  My hand was red, red….not like a beet but a close runner-up.  Eek…no feeling either.                                                                      aaafingerWoohoo…I was out of the surgery room by noon PDT.It wasn’t fun but it’s done except for the stitches coming out. I got a prescription for t’3’s as these are my preferred pain killers Yes, I’ve delved into the world of pain-killers and have favourites.                                                                          aaashok2After a trip to the grocery store for a few goodies, mom was home.  She looked fine especially for one of the walking wounded.  Time to take us for a walk and stroll….off we went up the Lane.

Rolling and Strolling In Our Neighbourhood

Mom and I went for a good walk today.  Well, she walked, I rode.    The things I saw my friends.  They’d curl Kali’s fur and she’d be a LaPerm cat….MOL…I’m so funny! MOL!  *sigh*   What?  OK,  I’ll get on with the story, mom.  It was unbelievable!   Pure craziness.   Peeps were all over….making lotsa noise too.  Cars were whizzing by and I was scared at first.   I crept to the back of the basket…near mom.   There were so many strange noises.  Dogs were barking, usually I couldn’t see them but I saw three of the big boogers.   Kali would have saucer eyes!. MOL                                                      ash1wksm

Two of the big dogs I saw were Bulldogs, mom said. I wouldn’t want them living near me. They are super loud.  I pulled back in the basket but had my eyes on them till they were outta sight.

We went by one house that had a lovely tree getting new growth on it and MOL, these peeps had tied plastic apples on the tree. It was cool. I guess it’s an apple tree or a plastic apple tree. MOL

How artsy….a fine creation from peeps that have seen their fill of wintry landscapes.

Mom said we both had done very well and we should head home.                                                                  ashwksm

Mom was talking with our neighbour on our way home and he realized I was sitting in the stroller, so he asked about me and mom explained we went for a roll and stroll. He has two cats and was enthralled with the stroller. He said the pet stroller was, “Cutting edge” and I had to agree with him, at least for Prince George it was very *cutting edge*. I yelled at mom to hurry up and we were on the move again.

Kali met us at the door and was delighted to see us, mewing up a storm.  I told her all about the sights we saw and she licked my head. Aww….sis…I had a good time. I’m sure tired though.

Flat Shoko Has Left Canada

Kali, did I tell everyone about Flat Shoko that Dad made up for Cat Scouts?  I don’t think so Shoko.    Well butter my butt and slide me to the Catnip!  Sit down my friends have some nip and I’ll tell ya all about it.

Cat Scouts are giving scouts the opportunity to go visit their friends in Cat Scouts via a flat cat.  Well dad made a flat cat of me.  She’s a big sucker too!  I call her FOKO.                                                                                                         Foko

We mailed Foko  at the beginning of August out to DezizWorld in Oklahoma.  Dezi did a post about her visitors.  Click on DeziWorld for the First part and Part 2 for the second half of the visit.  Shoko’s flat cat boyfriend Finstein scame for a visit with brofur Fimmy.  Dezi’s mom made sure there was no look of hanky panky between Foko and Finstein.  Finstein slept at the head of the bed and Foko at the bottom.  We had tons of fun.  Mango from Cat Scouts also popped in for a visit.

Dezi telling Foko a secret...she's not very quiet and that accent...blew me away. What a fun gal.Dezi is going to tell Foko a secret. Foko says Dezi is not real quiet but has such a fantastic southern accent that Foko was mesmerized.  Lexi, Dezi’s sis, sat back and let Dezi enjoy her friends.  What a kind sister.

Dezi’s mom mailed us out to Finstein and Fimmy’s dad and we arrived last Wednesday.  What a houseful in Finstein’s family!  I never saw so many cats all in one place.  I especially liked chatting with Miss Fitz.  We had lots of girlie talk and giggles.  Go take a look at Tomcat Commentary by Tim…just click on the name.

Finstein’s family lives in Pennsylvania.  Fimmy and Finstein’s dad mailed Foko, Finstein and Fimmy up to  Canada.  So they should be arriving in another 4 or 5 days.  We are expecting a couple of others from Cat Scouts too.  Woohoo…lotsa visitors.  Kali will be delighted.  Too bad Miss Fitz isn’t a flat.  Kali would love her, I just know those two would get along like a house on fire.  MOL, Miss Fitz, what a name!  I like her already.
