What a beautiful day. Hey mom, are you weeding….good, the garden was a disgrace. I’ll roll in this freshly weeded area.
Oh, that feels so good to feel the dirt rub against my furs. Mom isn’t looking, is she? I think I’ll stretch out again. MOL
I could do this all day but here comes mom so *mum’s the word.* No I haven’t been rolling in the dirt, Who made those rolling marks? That was Shoko, she came over here rolled in the dirt and then left. Um…the dirt on my back? Gee, I think dad threw it at me and it stuck. I get the feeling you don’t believe me mom.
No way did I need a sponge bath! How rude of you mom! I cleaned myself earlier today. Although I do look fluffier and there are no more dirty marks all over me bod.
It’s Mother’s Day and also Selfie Sunday blog hop with our host The Cat on My Head. You want me to do a selfie now….LIKE RIGHT NOW! Do you see, I climbed the arbor even with my out of shape bod. MOL I climbed up the lattice like steps.
Kali and I got mom some lovely flowers for Mother’s Day. Dad picked them up for us. We sold some of our furs on ebay. There was a big demand for Kali’s fur but not mine. I was hurt. Nobody seemed to want my two toned fur. Turns out Kali did very well and paid for most of the flowers herself. She even has lots of fur left.
Everyone take a gander at your friends posing for their selfies. Simply click on The Cat On My Head and you will be swept to their house.
Wasn’t Valentines Day fun Kali. It was a super relaxing day. That’s right, you had a spa day. Tell us about it Kali. The day started off warm and cozy. It was 10 above today. After we had breakkie and a quick walk about on the deck….there is still lots of snow. I headed for the spa area in mom’s bedroom. There I sat in the hot tub that blows steam on my face to smooth and cleanse my snow white furs. I didn’t want to disturb mom and dad so I had my earphones in while listening to Andy Williams singing, “Moon River.” What a lovely song. I was mellowing and mewing along when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I mewed for Shoko to go away……still the tapping got more intense. Soon the taps were hurting. I popped out my cuke slices and my eyes grew huge as loonies…..there sitting beside the tub was Cow Kitty. I growled in no uncertain terms to get his skinny spotted butt outta my bathroom and don’t ever come back. But…..but..Take your butt, butt outta this room. I am very sorry Miss Kali but I must leave soon and I wanted to play with your favourite mouse but thought I should ask first. Can I play with it? Oh my, I feel like the cat that ate the canary….very guilty. satisfied inside but guilty. Cow Kitty it is wrong to run into a ladies bedroom for any reason….knock next time and wait to be let in. Of, course you can play with my mouse….that was very nice to ask. Woo hoo, thanks Miss Kali. I won’t bother you again……well today.
How was your spa Kali? Well aside from Cow Kitty barging it, it was exhilarating. You know Shoko I believe Cow Kitty is becoming more of a gentleman. So he asked to borrow your mouse? He sure did. I was impressed. That was kind of him to ask, here is the rest of your mouse. Oh dear…..it has no fur anymore! The hazards of lending your toys to boy cats, I guess. So let’s see your manicure Kali. They’re mauve Kali! They are very pretty. Thanks Shoko. I worked hard to get just the right sheen.
Let’s show our friends Einey and Buddy’s Valentine cards to us.
Mom is going to have her mouse protein IV today at the hospital and she is always wiped afterward so she’ll be back with you on-line when she is with it again, You think she’ll want to run around on the floor so we can chase her Kali? What a riot that would be…we could run all over her.
What do you get if you try to cross a mouse with a skunk?
Dirty looks from the mouse! MOL
It’s artsy Caturday already, Kali. I know Shoko. What a fast week. It has snowed something fierce when the temperature warmed up to -16C. Canada Post can’t deliver the mail….way too much snow. The highways out of Vancouver are closed due to the sheer volume of snow. What a terrible predicament. Needless to say we are not headed outside anytime soon. We decided to let me do today’s art for Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty. Yes, WE…not just me. Aye…right! You trying to hurt my feelings, eh? Ugh….I’m getting cabin fever! Here is mom’s art. She got a frame from Pizap and decided just the frame was enough so didn’t overdo it for a change.
Do stop and view your ani-buddies wearing their special peeps idea of art. Simply click on the blog hop host.
May your enemies choke on your furs!
Athena is having her art display with us anipals. Drop by Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and admire the fine artists we have in our mist.
It’s about time. What is it three weeks since we’ve been there. Is it my turn Kali? No way Shoks…I am the model for today’s art. I have combed my furs but have a kitty lick on the back of my head. No one will see your furs sticking up Kali. Here goes Shoko.
Remember Kali, next week it’s my turn…I’m keeping score. Maybe next week we can do an artsy photo together, Shoko. I wouldn’t mind that Kali.
Here it is Sunday already. Time for the Sunday Selfies with our awesome blog hop host The Cat On My Head. After admiring my selfie….visit the others and see which want to pose and which ones are flyin’ by the seat of their furs.
Today I am the stand in for Kali who is kinda spacy and wishes to be left alone with her tiara.
Mom ordered me a vest instead of my harness seeing I was able to rid myself of the harness in very little time. I got a tiger type vest and mom placed me in it and…..nothing happened. I would not move. I don’t like this! It feels more secure and there’s no wiggle room. I look like a wee tiger with a big head.
I guess we’re going to have to practice in the basement again. I was quite happy with the harness.
Treats? Ahhh…I’m not movin’. I don’t care for those treats anyway. Put some good ones down and we’ll mew.
May your selfie reflect the REAL you.
Hi friends, Kali here to introduce the Friendly Fill-ins and my fills for this week.
Ellen of 15 and Meowing and McGuffy’s Reader are hosting this weeks Friendly Fill Ins.
1. I am most proud of …… my temperament. I like everybody, peeps and kitties. Layed back and relaxed is my style. If I get angry, hiss and run after a kitty, you know this kitty is a total jerk and needs some smacky paw. Visitors are always welcome as far as I’m concerned.
2. I am embarrassed to admit…..I am afraid of bugs. Just the idea of putting a squirmy or slimy bug in my mouth is disgusting. Ewww… However I like to watch them as long as they don’t touch the furs.
3. My super-power might be….. power sleeping. Mom says there is no other cat around that can sleep on demand like me.
4. I really wish I could……. fly. I would fly down and visit Nellie and then fly down to the States and visit Buddy…my boyfriend.
Did you know that Phoebe’s blog, 15 and Meowing and McGuffy’s Reader host the Friendly Fill Ins Kali? Of course I do Shoks. They have been doing this for 10 weeks now. Last week you did the fill-in’s so this week is my turn Kali. Make me proud, Shoko. 1. I prefer the new Chicken and Cheese Fancy Feast to the Salmon Primavera flavoured Fancy Feast.
2. Staying away from the fresh catnip was much harder than I expected.
3. One way that I relax is to lay under a bush in the garden.
4. Feeling the sun on my furs always makes me happy.
My stars, it was hot as hell fire here today. The mercury climbed to 26C. That’s 78F for you southern neighbours. Now, you may laugh and say, “What’s her problem. That’s not hot.” For us 80F is hot. We are used to cooler weather. Peeps wear shorts and t-shirts when the temperature gets to -3C.
I tried very hard to get Kali to come outside and relax. C’mon Kali, its cool out here. Go away Shoko. I’m not coming out unless I wear protective clothing. My furs might catch fire. Ok, wait until I get my gear on. There. I can deal better with the heat this way. You know Kali you look like a dork. You remind me of Richard Simmons, if he were lucky enough to be a feline. Aww… but I won’t go funny in the head from the sun. That’s because you’re already funny in the head Kali.
SHOKO – black
KALI – orange
