Normally this is a happy blog and a place of sanctuary from the battering of life but last night Easy left us for the Rainbow Bridge. We adored Easy and he was a good friend to us girls, often offering us DIY info. When you get down to it, Easy was a friend to all in Blogville. He loved everyone. Thanks Sammy of, One Spoiled Cat. You have managed to put together a beautiful tribute picture for us to remember him by.
We loved Easy and will always adore his memory. At this sad time, a picture keeps popping up in mom’s mind and it warms her heart. We wish to share it with you and it is meant in love and respect. Every time mom looks at this picture of Easy arriving at Shoko’s 7th Gotcha Day Party from France, she gets a smile on her face. We hope it brings a smile to your face also.
Today is the last day for the Blogville Pawlympics. The closing ceremony can be found at Frankly and Ernestly Speaking’s blog. It was a wonderful summer diversion that Kali and I appreciated. We entered three events as this was our first time in the Pawlympics.
Our first event was Lexi the Schnauzer’s Razzberies/ Tongue Curling. Many of our friends were entered and we performed like pros. Kali was actually ticked at mom and getting ready to mew, loudly.
We were also entered in Easy”s Olympig event…Tuneful Farting.
I didn’t know it was called Tuneful Farting….I thought it was Tuning into Hearts…like the Queen of Hearts. We would then sing. A lady doesn’t go around farting Shoko. We don’t even talk about those things. Well, what do you do when you have gas…blow up like a balloon from holding it in? Then we could enter you in the Macy”s Parade. MOL How rude Shoko! We excuse ourselves and go into the bathroom. No putting about the house, eh? No way. We’ll continue this fascinating fart talk later Kali.
First up was Kali singing through her butt. MOL You are gross Shoko. I was embarrassed but it was all in fun.
I followed Kali with some explosive artwork. We won first place in the cat Category. We were the only cat entries Shoko! Wait…..Madi entered too. Who’s Madi? She is awesome and a great friend at Cat Scouts. Our last entry was Fly Fishing at Dezizworld blog.
My fast paced entry was next. We walked away with gold again for our participation and efforts. Our first introduction to the Blogville Pawlympics was a positive one.
Now on to The Cat on My Head’s Sunday Selfie. Simply click on the hosting blog to visit more anipals posing for you. It’s a coke kinda of a day my friends.
Tomorrow I’m off to get a tooth pulled, please purr for me my friends.
Today is our fun Artsy Caturday with our hosts Athena and Marie. Click on their name and visit more anipals posing just for you. Shoko quietly…ahem, not so quietly, bowed out of Artsy Caturday cause she felt mom gave her the photo effects that made her look dreadful. So Shoks has taken her grievance to a new level and is on strike over mom’s attempts at being an artist.
So, I will be your model until Shoko has finished being a drama queen over her perceived slight.
Mom used different photo editors until she was all mixed up and didn’t know which one she was using. She did have some fun with a collage. Notice the collage has snow in it.
Have a great weekend and remember to share some nip with a friend.
Well, mom had to get on this harness kick again. So on the harness went and she called me to come downstairs to the basement. I don’t like to walk while wearing this thing. I know I look like there is a saddle, which is far too heavy for me, straddled to my back. Also I mince on by with tiny steps. Dad laughed when I walked by him. Finally, I made it to the basement. There was a reward waiting for me.
See my race car in the background. Now, seeing as mom gave me a treat each time I walked for the treat. I wouldn’t walk unless I got a treat. It didn’t take mom long to figure this out either. Pretty soon Kali was in the basement with us getting all the attention and treats. Mom was so happy Kali was getting exercise for her hip. Well, mom ran out of treats and Kali and mom went upstairs while I minced along much more slowly.
While they were waiting for moi, Kali posed for a picture in my toque.
After we had a rest from our frolicking in the basement Mom decided to have a peek at Elfin John who has been busy fishing in the kitchen sink. Heck he caught 2 spoons and a small fork. He told mom he was ready to go back in the nightie drawer till later in the year. So Kali helped him into the drawer.
Kali tucked him in for a long nap and we all got a little sad.
I brought Kali into the living room where we discovered our friend had sent us some goodies. Kali was overcome by the feathers as I was and soon Elfin John was forgotten.
Trust mom to snap the picture when we looked away from the feathers. Really mom, get with it.
