My stars…mom says its time to plant some transplants already. It’s not even the 24th of May yet. We usually plant on our Canadian national holiday of the Queen’s birthday, Not this queen, but Queen Victoria. I don’t really know why we celebrate her cause this queen has a birthday too and she’s still going strong at 90. I digress…the weather has been very warm here. Mom’s thoughts have turned to planting time. So everybody in the household has padded out to the garden and done some work. Dad rototilled the soon to be planted veggie garden. Mom will soon sit in the soil and plant the seeds. I will help her by digging out the rows. Kali will lie on the air mattress mom uses.
The water in the saucer is for the kitties that wander over here and are thirsty after partaking of the Nip. The stones in the saucer are places for the bees to have a drink. I try not to grab any flies taking the water…I usually am busy with my watering chores and don’t see them.
Kali is supervising the work dad and mom are doing but she doesn’t want to get her paws dirty.
Mom decided we needed a break so we took a walk in the Lane.
I looked both ways before I stepped into the Lane. There could be some weird kitty or, heaven forbid, a dog in the Lane. All was clear.
Cow Kitty is that you here at the cwappy house?
It is you! What a great place to lay, in the cool long grass.
Cow Kitty looks like we woke him. MOL Let’s take Cow Kitty and go home Shoks…there is more to do in the backyard. Ok, mom let’s go. C’mon Cow Kitty, the dirt is calling us!
What a cwappy day. The snow is coming down in buckets. Kali and I wandered out on the deck after brekkie and I think Cow Kitty zipped past heading for under the deck. It’s gotta be bad if Cow Kitty doesn’t want to be out in the snow.
Mom and I had a rousing game of tunnel. Kali couldn’t be bothered with the game of tunnel after mom told her she was going to be shooting a selfie today.
Kali got all titivated up for her photo, set the timer like a pro and proceeded to clean her claws, muttering that she needed a manipeti.
The Cat On My Head is hosting Sunday Selfies so just blow over to their blog and enjoy seeing all my friends posing for their selfies. Unfortunately mom can’t seem to get the link for the selfies. The link is not showing up and neither are all the selfies and until they do, Kali will be sitting in Canadian Cats ONLY.
What a cwappy day. It’s pouring…..apparently the end of some hurricane decided to come all this way inland and grace us with its rain. The wind is ahowlin’ and the leaves are blowing everywhere. I’m not impressed! Furthermore it looks like my friends Penelope and her bro Pippin’ have had a horrible accident in the basement and may not be up to playing with us this year. I won’t go into detail but its not a pretty sight apparently. Mom won’t tell me anymore than that. Remember these cheery faces. My friends Penelope and Pippin’.
We had such fun together. Well what’s a kitty to do!
Kali had to go to the vet’s today too. She didn’t want to go and told mom why but mom had her ears turned off. Before I knew it they were back again. I guess I must’ve fallen asleep. Kali was very happy to get out of the carrier and disappeared before I completely woke up. Kali has arthritis with some wasting around her hips. The pain giver recommended fish oil and if there is no difference a capsule for arthritis will be appropriate. Mom said it was remarkable but Kali who usually sheds all fur hanging about, so it looks like a fog has descended upon the room, didn’t shed 1 hair. One great thing that happened today was mom got her Cat Lady box and we both helped her look inside. We exhausted ourselves with the box and are ready for a snooze.
Kali is delighted its Artsy, Fartsy Caturday on Athena and Marie’s blog tomorrow and she gets to pose. Simply click on the name of the hosting blog and enjoy the anipals in their artsy forms.
Have a great weekend my friends and if you get a chance drop into Cat Scouts on Saturday as I will be celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving. I will probably celebrate off and on for the whole long weekend.
Last evening it looked really cwappy. So Kali and I decided to just hunker down and bug mom today.
Kali played with The Cat’s Meow While I was busy trying to scare mom. Mom was in the kitchen making Chicken Broth out of all the old bones from 11 roasted chickens. Mom says there is lots of room in the freezer now.
Cow-Kitty was on top of the arbor.
He’s attempting to ruin the reception on Bird TV!
He’ll never catch one of those birds….he might as well have a horn announcing his arrival. MOL
Here is Kali acting like a human model….looking all ticked and disgusted. Actually, she had a big smile on her wee face but you can’t see it. MOL This is Kali’s selfie for The Cat on my Head’s blog hop. Click on the blog hop name and look at all the beautiful anipals that suddenly appear before you on the screen.
