Mom and dad checked the hotel room a few times to make sure they didn’t leave anything behind. Then it was off to Heathrow Airport. Peeps had told mom it was a very hard airport to get through as it was huge. It was very large but staff at the airport helped mom, so going through security was much easier. They were even early for the plane so looked at various shops. Heathrow is very large with much walking.
The plane ride to Vancouver was very similar to the plane ride to Paris. So I won’t bore you with details. When mom saw the sands of the beach near UBC (University of British Columbia), she got very excited. We are sorry about the poor quality of the photo but the plane wasn’t all that close to the beach. MOL
Upon landing at Vancouver Airport, dad was grabbing the luggage off the carousel when mom came moseying along to remind dad what our luggage looked like. Talk about giving the, “evil eye!” Dad ‘s look could have stopped a Canada Goose in mid honk!
When mom and dad got into their motel room, mom called Barb co-author of, “Nellie, On The Edge.” Barb was not far away and came over to the motel room. They chatted and laughed and then figured it was time to go see a special lady and have supper. Off they went to Barb’s new townhouse. Mom loved the townhouse except for the many stairs but Barb said all this walking is paying off. She had become a few pounds lighter. When they got to the livingroom…..there was Nellie, just hangin’ out.
At this point Barb told mom and dad she made a pot roast with all the trimmings for dinner. They all charged into the kitchen. Although mom and dad were not very hungry as it was 3am in London. If mom is going to have beef, she wants pot roast….this is her favourite beef meal. What a scrumptious meal. Sorry no pictures. If we were home, mom would have asked for a kitty bag. MOL
Time to return to the motel. Nellie was getting ready for a snooze so mom and dad were quiet and let Nellie snuggle down. These are the last pictures of Nellie. It was her time to leave for the Rainbow Bridge. We were so fortunate to know this lovely Queen.
Mom and dad left for Prince George the next morning. I was delighted to see mom and wouldn’t leave her alone all night. I whacked her on the head when she fell asleep. I wanted loves. Kali wouldn’t look at mom but chattered away to dad. Three days later Kali decided mom was ok after all.
We hope you enjoyed mom and dad’s jaunt to the old country. They brought back a virus with them and were laid up for three weeks after arriving home but they’re fine now.
Athena, that wild and creative gal is having another Artsy Caturday and I decided to join in on the parade. Do pop by Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty blog and see what the artsy world has done to our friends. MOL A big hug and a thank you to Dezi and Raena’s mom from DeziWorld for making this picture possible.
Cow Kitty was over for a visit today. He slept out on the bench for a long time. Finally he came in and played with our cheese and mice.
After he rough housing with the cheese…knocked it across the dining room floor and then played in the tunnel, he wanted to go home. Cow Kitty very seldom talks but when mom let him out, he softly mewed at her. Then he headed toward his home.
Prepare yourselves it’s Farty Caturday. This is the day we show our greatest works in a creative way. You’re a fruitcake Shoko. You make it sound like all we do is sit around farting….but in a creative way. I didn’t mean it like that but if that’s what peeps think….it is what it is. As I was saying Athena and Marie Caturday Art blog are having their parade of artsy anipals. So rush over and view these special anipals posing like movie stars for you. First, take a gander at moi.
This is me in a crabby or cwappy mood or so mom says. I think I look serious and have a don’t try to trick me or I’ll rip your face off expression. OK, maybe a tad crabby! From this close up shot mom got into pizap and added the fisheye effect and the galaxy filter. Talk about spacey or crabby looking….this picture hits pay dirt.
Talking about farts, we got an envelope from France today from Easy. Well, we were wondering what he sent us and hoped it wasn’t a bill for all his efforts in the Pawlympic event Tuneful Farting.
We were delighted to see a certificate of achievement for our Tuneful Farting and a ribbon each for Kali and I. Thank you so much Easy. We are delighted to be noticed for our achievements. Alright I am delighted. Kali doesn’t want to mew about it…EVER. She was trying to be a good sport but she’s not my idea of a good sport. MOL That’s my big sis….a queen on 4 paws.
May your long weekend be rain free and nip filled.
Good Caturday my friends. Hope your week was a happy one and you were not harassed by your sister or brother….like I have been this week. What does one innocent kitty do with a sister that feels she is royalty? Some days she just twists my fur and I could yell out the howls of my ancestors!
I must forget THE KALI and get on with my artsy picture for this week. Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty blog is hosting the blog hop so just click on their name and be beamed to their anipal line up. Mom started off with this beautiful picture of moi. I think my pose is most innocent. Mom says I look spaced out. Really!! Not in a million years. Mom jumped into Pizap and put a Galant Filter on the picture. Then she leaped over to Corel Paintbrush Pro and added the Ripple Effect. Voila!! You can still tell its me and yet mom’s more creative side shone through.
