Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty is displaying all her artsy friends. That’s me Kali. You get to go next week. I’ll file my nails and polish my paws then….you never know who might drop by for a visit.
Mom actually made me look good….no one was more surprised than moi. She used LunaPic Photo Editor and chose the Floating Art Effect. Cool effect, eh?
May your litter be crispy and your kibble clean and sparkly. Um…think I boobed. We want stuff that’s fresh anyway!
We got two parcels from the mail lady. Not one but two parcels. The first parcel was addressed to Kali and I. What the…? Mom pulled out this blue thing and then she said we’d won it. I remember, it was a contest on Three Chatty Cats. Mom didn’t take a picture of this Filtration System we had won. She couldn’t wait to see how it would work in our big water bowl out on the deck and if we’d try it out or sneak up on it.
I hung back, just in case there was something wrong with it. I’m not having my furs frazzled because of a short-circuit I heard Cow Kitty talkin’ bout his dad getting a shock from his electric razor. Kali was the first to try the new system. I give it the Kali stamp of approval. The little bubbles it produces tickle my nose.
Well, if Kali can do it without a problem then so can I. The water looks ok…..no sparks flying out. I see the ripples, this water looks so cool and refreshing. I can even stick my paws in and the ripples feel good. I like this blue thing.
Thank you so much Three Chatty Cats.
Our second parcel was from….the Tooth Fairy?? What the heck…the Tooth Fairy is alive and well and living in the US? I’ll be bald-headed!! I would never have guessed. Look at the toys…just for me. I got dibs on the ice cream cone Shoks. Oh, alright Kali but I get the drumstick. That little Blue sucker looks like fun to roll. MOL This ice cream cone is so soft on my mouth. I have my drumstick in here and will beat it up….alone.
First I must thank the Tooth Fairy for the extra goodies. You are the best. *wink* *wink*
May your dentist need his tooth pulled! MOL
Here it is another Shopping Around the World hosted by Piglove and Fozziemum. This week we can make anything our little pea pickin’ hearts desire.
Kali stood up and said she wanted to be the celebrity chef from Fort Meezer, for this dish.
Let’s hear it for Greek Potatoes…..*smashes plate by throwing it at the wall.* “OPA!!” hehe Do you know where the Greek custom of smashing glasses and plates stems from? MOL…Stems…glasses…MOL Opa!! *smash*Me-wow
Greek tradition has it that this practice started when a rich family invited a much poorer family to dinner and to make them feel better invited them to break the plates. They were proving that friendship is everything. And there’s no better way of proving that than dining with friends over Greek food.

Hey Shoks, what is that get up you got on.
It’s my exclusive belly dancing outfit. Isn’t it cool?
Kali!! Put that plate down. Don’t throw it at me!
Move Shoko, let’s see some belly dancing….”Opa” *crash*
My stars, it was hot as hell fire here today. The mercury climbed to 26C. That’s 78F for you southern neighbours. Now, you may laugh and say, “What’s her problem. That’s not hot.” For us 80F is hot. We are used to cooler weather. Peeps wear shorts and t-shirts when the temperature gets to -3C.
I tried very hard to get Kali to come outside and relax. C’mon Kali, its cool out here. Go away Shoko. I’m not coming out unless I wear protective clothing. My furs might catch fire. Ok, wait until I get my gear on. There. I can deal better with the heat this way. You know Kali you look like a dork. You remind me of Richard Simmons, if he were lucky enough to be a feline. Aww… but I won’t go funny in the head from the sun. That’s because you’re already funny in the head Kali.
SHOKO – black
KALI – orange

My stars…mom says its time to plant some transplants already. It’s not even the 24th of May yet. We usually plant on our Canadian national holiday of the Queen’s birthday, Not this queen, but Queen Victoria. I don’t really know why we celebrate her cause this queen has a birthday too and she’s still going strong at 90. I digress…the weather has been very warm here. Mom’s thoughts have turned to planting time. So everybody in the household has padded out to the garden and done some work. Dad rototilled the soon to be planted veggie garden. Mom will soon sit in the soil and plant the seeds. I will help her by digging out the rows. Kali will lie on the air mattress mom uses.
The water in the saucer is for the kitties that wander over here and are thirsty after partaking of the Nip. The stones in the saucer are places for the bees to have a drink. I try not to grab any flies taking the water…I usually am busy with my watering chores and don’t see them.
Mom decided we needed a break so we took a walk in the Lane.
I looked both ways before I stepped into the Lane. There could be some weird kitty or, heaven forbid, a dog in the Lane. All was clear.
Cow Kitty is that you here at the cwappy house?
Cow Kitty looks like we woke him. MOL Let’s take Cow Kitty and go home Shoks…there is more to do in the backyard. Ok, mom let’s go. C’mon Cow Kitty, the dirt is calling us!
Mom and I went for a good walk today. Well, she walked, I rode. The things I saw my friends. They’d curl Kali’s fur and she’d be a LaPerm cat….MOL…I’m so funny! MOL! *sigh* What? OK, I’ll get on with the story, mom. It was unbelievable! Pure craziness. Peeps were all over….making lotsa noise too. Cars were whizzing by and I was scared at first. I crept to the back of the basket…near mom. There were so many strange noises. Dogs were barking, usually I couldn’t see them but I saw three of the big boogers. Kali would have saucer eyes!. MOL
Two of the big dogs I saw were Bulldogs, mom said. I wouldn’t want them living near me. They are super loud. I pulled back in the basket but had my eyes on them till they were outta sight.
We went by one house that had a lovely tree getting new growth on it and MOL, these peeps had tied plastic apples on the tree. It was cool. I guess it’s an apple tree or a plastic apple tree. MOL
