Tyebe Tuesday

Move over Budd.  You’re cramping me’s style.  If you jump from here on the floor you won’t make the shelf, Tyebe. Yes I will.  Me’s jumps are famous for being exact.                                                                      Whoops!!   Tyebe, the prayer plant fell on the floor and you broke it’s ceramic pot.  So sorry mom but really it shouldn’t have been in me’s way. The floor is a much better place for it.

See, I made it.  No problem.  Tyebe what a racket just to get to the water.  You have to be quiet and dainty or monsters outside will hear you and come after you.  No!!  Really Shokos?

I’s scared.  I don’t know if me’s will ever be dainty and what if those monsters come after me?  The white ones in the snow are the worst Tyebe.  You can’t see them in the snow.  All of a sudden they leap on you, just the way you leap on me when I’m sleeping.  Oh no!!  Maybe they don’t bite like I’s do. I’ve never had any trouble from them, I’ve always been dainty even as a kitten. Woah, Me’s don’t want no monsters leaping on me and biting …No way!

Me’s will just have to keep practicing Shokos.  One day I’s will be as good as you.  In your dreams kid, in your dreams.

Hey Budd, what have you got around your neck?  It’s my new collar.  Mom got it for me so everyone knows I belong to this household.

Mom can you help us so we can see the collar.  Thanks, mom.                                                                 Wow Budd, what a cool collar and so masculine too.  Dad always said when you go to the kit lit that you go diesel.  Now you can show him you’re part hog too. mol *hic*

Well, that’s all the news at Fort Meezer for now.  I will be practicing my jumps and landing on my tiptoes, if I can.  I’ll get Budd to try.  It’ll make me feel better if he stumbles too.

Gardening Can Be Hazardous To One’s Health

I was in the house dining as were mom and dad.  Kali was trying to get up after an especially good dream of Buddy.

SHOKO…..BLACK
DAD…..BLUE

Dad looked out the window and said, “I think Cow Kitty is  in trouble in the vegetable garden.”  The three of us quickly headed outside to see what was wrong.  As we got closer this is what we saw.

Cow Kitty was terrified and very agitated.  Dad tried to remove his paw but Cow Kitty tried to scratch and bite him so dad told mom to get the scissors and he’d cut Cow Kitty out.

Cow Kitty must have been in some pain also.  Dad cut Cow Kitty’s paw out of the pea netting and off he went.  No limping just happier than hell-o to get out of the trap that had never bit him before.

Mom and dad never thought this pea netting could be  hazardous to any animals but the squares are small and don’t stretch.  Next year will be different as the netting will have big plastic squares so nothing will get caught.

Cow Kitty came and lay under the deck in about half an hour.  He was more relaxed.

Cow Kitty had a collar on…this is new for him.  The collar came off when he struggled with the pea netting.  There was no name on the collar but five bells.  This is a sign of how great a hunter he is.

Due to Cow Kitty’s harrowing experience today we are making him honorary Artsy Fartsy model on Athena Cat Goddess Wise kitty’s blog.

Mom used Lunapic and used the Art Watercolour and lessened the effect.  Then she rounded the border.                                                                     Here is our Cow Kitty in all his glory.

MOL..Happy Canada Day from us Canucks.

It’s Spring….Quick, Catch It!

They say Spring has sprung.  Well Spring is struggling to stay out around here,  She keeps hiding and letting a dress of white occupy the backyard.  We don’t even want to see another picture of this dress….months and months we watched nature give us the Winter whites.                                                         snow1zmcrYuck…no more mom!  Bring on the sunshine and flowers.  Come on let’s exam the garden for signs of life.                                                        dadigHey, dad’s digging over my veggie garden.  The ground is no longer frozen.  High five, Kali!!

tulipssmThe tulips are peeking out.  Bad news mom….the weeds seem to be  posing for the picture.  Guess we’ll be out weeding before long.                                                  lilacsm2nd year buds are on the transplanted lilac bush.  Mom’s never seen the bald headed, tattooed man she got it from again.  Someone told mom it takes a good three years for transplanted lilacs to have flowers.  We shall see.

nip1zmLook at the nip buds!!  Dad said he had to re-net the nip….there were layers of cat hair on it.  Dang visitors…..we wouldn’t do that!!

Here is our last sign of Spring in the backyard.                                                               collarzmIt’s my Hawaiian collar that I lost in December!  Now that the snow’s gone, dad found it.  The red suits me…my favourite collar.  I thought it was gone for good.

blackitOh cwap!  Kali’s found a new kitten in the neighbourhood.  She seems to like him.   Another sign of Spring…new kittens in the area.  This guy looks to be 5 months though.  Get away from him Kali….we don’t need anymore visitors!!  Our nip is getting too hairy.                                             shokzmcrA further sign of spring are the puddles but no ice.

There you have it friends, the signs of spring around our place and our first walk of the year in the Lane.

May your week have more nip than medicine.                                               Kali and Shoks
