Piglove and Gentlestitches are hosting this reading of a story. We intend to do a book review also.
We read many cat books because of our story time every night, some are good and some are alright. There are very few books out there that we do not like at least some part of the story. However, books written from the cat’s perspective have a special place in our hearts. The following book employs this technique with great success.
The book we are reviewing is called, “Black Cat and The Accidental Angel” written by Elaine Faber. This book is the third and as yet the final book in the series. From the moment we started reading……we were hooked. The story begins where the previous story, “Black Cat and The Lethal Lawyer” leaves off. Thumper and his family are heading home from their visit in Texas. They are not far from home when suddenly, the SUV is in an accident and the carrier with the cats in it is thrown from the vehicle, landing in an awkward place that is impossible for the family to find. The adventure begins as Angel and Thumper try to find their way home. One massive problem exists, Thumper has lost his memory and doesn’t even know who the cat is with him.
These two cats have many adventures while attempting to walk home. Mom laughed, sniffled and down right cried. She got that attached to the kitties and their struggles. The plot twists kept her reading when she normally would quit for the night. The ending came way too quickly for us. So in short, I would say if you want a boring book to read so you can fall asleep quickly, don’t get, “Black Cat and the Accidental Angel.” However, if you want an excellent read with cats that are real to life, DO buy, “Black Cat and the Accidental Angel.” The only thing left for us to do is get Elaine Faber to write a fourth book in the, “Black Cat” series. The author forwarded pictures of the cats that were her muses for Thumper and Angel. I thought you would be as delighted to see them as we were.
This charmer’s name is Boots alias Black Cat and Thumper.
Meet gorgeous Amber, alias Noe Noe and Angel.
These precious kitties live with the author and happily share their lives.
Now, without further adieu mom is going to read part of the first chapter of, “Black Cat and The Accidental Angel” on video. Please excuse her feet as she was relaxing and laying back.
Mom only read a portion of the first chapter. To see how the story goes, you’ll just have to get the book.
Hope you’ve enjoyed peeking in our bedroom…we enjoyed the company. Ya all come back now…..ya hear. MOL
