We are joining The Cat On My Head for the Sunday Selfies hosted by the Blue family.
Something smells like….nip?
Where is this smell coming from? It’s not in the tea towel.
It’s coming from the bedroom.
No, the nip is in the en suite? That doesn’t make sense. Since when did mom start sniffing nip?
Yep, the smell’s in here. Can you see it? I’m going by smell as my nose never lies.
Oh, I look pretty good today. That extra 3 hours of sleep did wonders.
I can’t see it but I can smell it. Nip is here someplace and I won’t leave until I find it.

Found it!! Oh, it’s ready to set up seeds. What a doozie! Can you guess what happened to the nip plant next? mol
Ooh you did make me giggle. Where did the nip go, did you track it down? Is it outside now???

Aww,,,,the nip! I discovered it and stretched as high as I could and it landed in the sink.. Scared the crap outta me and I ran outside. That was a close call.

Once, I grew ‘nip for the neighbor’s cat, Woody. Woody was a sweet grey tabby. Anyway, once I grew it to a nice size, I decided to put it outside, hidden in a stepped riser with lots of other potted plants to hide it. When I came back from work that day, Woody was sprawled on the patio, with shredded ‘nip leaves. He’d stripped the whole plant to the ground, and apparently spent the day in a stupor! LOL! I learned to put ‘nip plants in a planter hanging high from the roof of the patio cover after that. I presume your ‘nip plants had a visit somehow, too?

hahaha….resourceful little devil. We plant the nip n the garden and let the cats have at it when it gets big. Otherwise the nip has chicken wire around it. Seeing as nip multiplies we have several plants of it. It even multiplies in spite of -30C temps.

One thing about members of the mint family, they do take over a patch! Once, I put chicken wire around a sizeable plant I’d grown inside with a grow light. A little guy, a teenage grey kitten, stopped by and ripped it apart by reaching through the chicken wire. I hadn’t left a big enough safe zone inside the chicken wire. LOL!

I am rather busy. The pot scared me when it fell so I probably will leave the pots alone for a while.

Tybee, did the plant survive the fall? I sure hope so! Alex planted our nip seeds and the little nubbins are just starting to poke out. He will have to put chicken wire over the pot soon or Kozmo will get in there and eat it all before it has a chance to grow! BTW your Mom’s African Violets are lovely!
