Alright, we’ll head inside and leave you alone. Geez, some folk just can’t take advice nicely. Mom’s got a lot of weeds.
Come on Tyebe let’s get comfy.
Our next In Purrsuit of Flavours comes out on May 5th. This is Cinco de Mayo Day. Now, I looked this up on Mr Goggle’s page cause he explained what Cinco de Mayo Day is. Cinco de Mayo Day is an annual celebration held on May 5. The date is observed to commemorate the Mexican Army’s victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla, on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza. The victory of the smaller Mexican force against a larger French force was a boost to morale for the Mexicans. So this is why Cinco de Mayo Day is celebrated…well, I’ll be a lizard’s bad breath!
Anyway, to honour Cinco de Mayo Day we, meaning the Easy boys and us, will make the theme for May, Mexican. What can you dream up to present on this special day? You can make an appetizer, veg, bread, drinks…..basically, anything edible with a Mexican twist is on the table……so to speak. We’ll let you know Monday what we plan to make for this day.
We are joining Wordless Wednesday at Comedy Plus so go admire Sandee’s silent page.
It’s past time for my Meezerism. So pull up your boot straps
and adjust your truss, here we go.
The cat that loves a car ride will soon find himself at the vet’s and car rides will hold little pleasure in the future.
Mexican!! Ole!
We shall try to conjure up something yummy…we don’t eat too much in that way lately, but maybe we can find something that works. We already posted our yummy salsa some months ago…
We giggled at the bed-headed kitty!!
And our garden is green even in drought times, cause weeds seem to thrive no matter…and we have them in great abundance!

Green gardens at this time of year signal weeds galore. We have lots of green. Why are the roots so deep? To get a weed out by the roots one must really dig with their little claw. Crap!

We sure do learn from our fails. We learn more from them than from the successes. Our fails usually taste good though. Yours too, I bet.

I’m hoping all this dirt will get flowers in it so I can smell the flowers and hide in the shade.

Hi Tyebe. I think that’s a fantastic picture of you today. Sometimes I get up on Mom’s lap to see who she’s talking to and it’s a video chat and my beard looks like that cat in the “funny.” Agh. XOX Xena

Your beard would be hard to keep clean and not twisted. You would need brushing after every meal. Just like humans and their toothbrushes.

Hopefully we can whip up something that will qualify for this newest edition of “In Purrsuit of Flavours.” A death in the family has scrambled things up.

Will there be margaritas? Asking for a friend. I’m sure there will be. We love Mexican food and have it here a lot. We make it at home though. With the virus we quit going out to pick up food and just make it here. It’s been fun and quite frankly it’s better.
Have a fabulous day. Scritches all around and a hug to mom. ♥

We haven’t had take-out food for awhile now either but it’s getting near time for some. We will have all sorts of recipes and some new recipes for this special day. We don’t often have Mexican food but it is different…and yummy.

OoOoOOoooOoooOOooooo Mexican! Alex has been bugging Mom to make him some green salsa (he’s allergic to tomatoes) So maybe we will make that! IF Mom does not have some lame excuse (like hitting a deer and having to go and buy a new car) like she did last month! And our garden looked like yours until Mom weeded. Tybee, that photo of you made me swoon and Shoko, your mezzerism is purrfect and that Cat in the meme looks just like Mom!

So your green salsa is not made of green tomatoes? Geez, what’s it made of? Your mom had a hard time after hitting the deer. Glad she is ok. A new car eh? That will be nice.
