In Purrsuit of Flavours…Sweets

Time for us feline chefs to crank up our wee paws for today’s peste de resistance.  This month is “sweets for my sweet…..ME.”  Our co- host is  Easy Blog with da Phenny and Nellie. Those male weimaraners from hell  who are sweetening up their momma’s kitchen too.

Ummm……this doesn’t sound like a good thing to be doing boys.  Da Phenny is sizing up the space he has to design his masterpiece while Nellie’s taking in the master chef’s quick  ability to sniff out a good prep counter.

We do like easy to follow recipes with no running out buying extras so we decided on The Easiest Peanut Butter Cookies Ever.  What could be easier or quicker.

First of all we gathered up the ingredients to show you what you need to create your nutty mess…..I mean glob….that’s awful sounding….peanutty splendour.  Much better sounding Tyebe.

Yep, I got all the ingredients here Shoko.  I tell you this jar of peanut butter was a hissy problem to move. I learned from you though and just looked at mom and then the peanut butter. Mom got the idea.

Here is the picture of these delicious morsels from the recipe book.
Mmm…..gimme a little sniff…. dang right….. this is just the picture!  There is no stink.

                                                 Easiest Peanut Butter Cookies Ever

4-Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies

INGREDIENTS

1 cup peanut butter

1 cup sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS

Stir together 1 cup peanut butter, 1 cup sugar, 1 large egg, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract in a large bowl until combined; shape dough into 1-inch balls.

Oh this gritty ball of peanut butter and sugar feels like a cleansing mask on my paw. Purrrrrrr

Cookies are ready to bake in our sunshine oven.  The odd cookie is broken just like some hearts on Valentine’s Day.

Place balls 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheets, and flatten gently with tines of a fork.  We made heart shapes with kind faces…..mol  You can continue with balls if it turns your crank.

Bake at 325°F for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to wire racks to cool.

These don’t look as good as I thought they would Shoko.

The red food colouring doesn’t show up and is barely even pinkish. The eyes and chocolate kiss nose make the heart more friendly. Dad’s going to taste it….he’s looking back at the cookie. Not a good sign.  Dad would gnaw on a cockroache’s butt  if we added peanut butter.

I would say….this recipe is worth a try because it’s so easy to make but it won’t be repeated here.  I’d rather play a game of  “Catch that bird,” than attempt this easy cookie again….mol

                                                                         BONY PETITE

SHOKO…..BLACK
TYEBE…..ROYAL BLUE

This came right on time because Mummy has been meaning to make peanut butter cookies for AGES! But it feels like something is missing. Doesn’t it need flour or something? Oatmeal, maybe?

We felt that way too but decided to try it and have dad be our human guinea pig. Our test subject was not overly impressed. This recipe is easy and ready quickly. Mom prefers the flour peanut butter cookie better.

They look cute and very easy to make. I don’t like peanut butter but have got a jar of almond butter which should work.

To those who doubt, these easy peanut butter cookies are indeed flourless…and very peanut-buttery. If you like peanut butter, these are the peanut butter cookies to make. Delicious! (I have this same recipe only with a teaspoon of baking soda. It makes a different textured cookie, but this one without baking soda is very much better.)
