In Pursuit of Flavours is coming out next Wednesday so we huddled as to what food is best for November. It was very cool and snowy so we were bored. We zoomed on the computer with Phenny and Nelly. They wanted no part of the snow or the cold. We ended up playing “I Spy with my Little Eye.” Nelly won. On to the foods. We decided November is cold or at least cool in most places so we all need fuel to keep us warm. An early snowstorm has us buddling up. So we thought a meal with something to warm our tummies would be appropriate. “Tummy Warmers” could consist of soups, stews, goulashes…..you get the idea.
Something delicious that sticks to the ribs. We will be back Monday to tell you what we decided to make. How about fried fish on a stick, Shoko? What da ya mean it’s not exactly what we mean. We can set it on fire and then it would be real hot! You have no sense of adventure, Shoks. Phenny’s up for it as long as we don’t have the bon fire of fish in his house. Tyebe…*$*^%%..and no is the final word! #$&%! It sounded like it would liven up the joint.
We are joiningWordless Wednesday at Comedy Plus. Run over and see your friends trying to be silent. It’s a hoot. Just click on Comedy Plus. See ya Monday.
Oh, how we would love to join in…but that is the day we have to worry about pawppy’s big surgery….and no time to get one done ahead of time…unless we hijack her from her other chores, MOL!!
*She* will likely need warming up fare when she gets back form the hospital…and again and again the next few days until she can help pawppy when he’s back home….hopefully only a 4 days stay…
I am sorry to hear pawppy is going in for an operation. They’re never any fun. Take good care of him. Take a peek at the recipes and see if pawppy would like one of the recipes……made up of course.
Birds of a feather! I just collected all of the snowy day videos featuring Andy and Dougy the Persian kitty boys, and that’s my post for tomorrow! We just had our first heavy snow here (but not in the immediate region!) and it is bitter cold here, too!
Hi Canadian Kitties! My momma’s grandmomma was borned in Canada in a little town called Sandwich. I don’t know if it’s still there, or abducted by aliens, but in her honor, maybe yoor menu could include a Toona Sammich and a cup of Toona soup. Love, Dori
Hi there Dora, Yes, there does appear to be a place called Sandwich in Ontario…..here is a blurp from Mr. Goggle……The Sandwich frontier was part of the Western District. The Western District was named in 1792 (containing the counties of Essex, Kent and Suffolk) and by 1800 was divided into 6 townships: Rochester, Mersea, Gosfield, Maidstone, Sandwich and Malden. The township of Sandwich included what is now the City of Windsor and area. The village of Sandwich was established in 1797 within the township of Sandwich (It was incorporated as a town in 1858). In 1861, the township of Sandwich was divided into East Sandwich township and West Sandwich township (East Sandwich township was subdivided in to East Sandwich township and South Sandwich township in 1893).
Let’s hope the snow gods keep the white stuff to themselves more. Febuary we expect lots of snow and are prepared by then. We’re not prepared yet. Big hugs to you.
Brrr. We saw snow once. It was really weird. We’ve alerted Mom that we need a warm-your-belly food and she asked if we wanted hot peppers! Noooo, Mom, that would make us sick. We thought about maybe roasting marshmellows in the fireplace, but it’s still way too warm here to do that. Oh well, we’ll think up something good! XOX Xena and Lucy

Look at all that snow. I’m still wearing flip-flops, but that’s going to go away shortly. It doesn’t snow here though.
I can’t wait to see what you cooks up. I love all the comfort foods of fall and winter.
Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Scritches to the kitties and a big hug to the mom. ♥

I might have changed ny mind. I thought it had to be hot as in hot and spicy But if any warm pot willdo, I might go for something with less oomph.
