It’s been over a month since Budd went off to the Bridge. Little did we realize this guy had wormed his way deep into our lives. The screaming for breakfast was a little tough to listen to at first but he never yelled for supper.
He belonged to the clean plate club!
We are joining Brian’s Home for Thankful Thursday as we thank the wonderful families on the blogosphere that gave us their understanding empathy and helped us through this unforeseen hurdle.
From the many comments on our post to the cards and letters coming to our house……we are thankful for all your thoughtfulness and kindness,
A big hug to Ann of Zoolatry for her memorial badge for Budd. Click on the blog names and go for a visit.
There was something about Budd that stole everybody’s heart, and he will always be missed. It was lovely to see how well he and Tybe got on. I am glad Shoko and Tybe are playing together now.
Budd was loved by everyone. He was a special guy and worked his way into everyone’s heart including ours. We will always miss him. His badge will be on our blog when we go back to our regular theme after Halloween……We’re happy to hear the girls are playing with each other now – that’s PERFECT.
Budd was a wonderful addition to your family, and have also been missed by your blogging friends. We are sure Tyebe misses her advocate, as do you both miss his endearing (and sometimes loud) ways. *hugs* Amy, Lucy and Xena
It really is never easy but you gave dear Budd exactly what he needed and he paid you back with all his love. Hugs from all of us and thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
We got to know Budd really well and he so reminded us of our Buddy Budd. Both big tough tomcats who took no guff but had hearts of gold. We miss him too but he lives on in hearts everywhere.
Budd was a special ManCat. The love of the Cat Blosphere and our blogging friends really helps get is through. So strange that Allie and Budd left on the same day.
Allie and Budd passed away about 3 hours apart. Such a huge loss in a short time. I’m sure their paths crossed and they became friends on their way to the bridge.
So glad to hear Shoko and Tyebe are getting on well. We loved handsome Budd and were especially saddened when he left for the Rainbow Bridge. I’m sure Sam greeted him when he arrived and is happily showing him the ropes. Continuing to send thoughts of comfort your way.
Wee miss Budd here at THE Purrfect Pad too. Hee was such a kewl man cat wassn’t hee??
Wee are happy you are gettin along bettur with each other Shoko an Tyebe…..beein Sisturss iss a wudnerfull thing!

Yes BellaD, Shoko and I are getting along better but I’ll bet when Shoko hisses she looks around for Budd to come after her. Naturally, Budd’s not there but his memory lives on.

I loved how Budd took Tyebe under his wing. He was one handsome man cat and I know you all miss him. I really believe that we will be reunited our fur babes when it is time. I am so glad Shoko and Tyebe have become closer.
Wasn’t Budd’s attraction to Tyebe just fascinating? He thought the sun ros and set on her. No matter what he was doing…..if Tyebe wanted him for any reason, he appeared beside her. What a bond.
You should have heard him yelling for breakfast….as the breakfast was fixed the yelling got louder. When Budd actually saw the food…a crescendo was hit and then silence as breakfast was served.
We know your hearts are still hurting at the loss of Budd. Mau has been gone three months (yesterday), and we have not gotten accustomed to this “new normal.” Those in the pet blogosphere are the kindest, most thoughtful individuals, and we feel privileged to be part of it. We know you will hold Budd in your hearts forever. Shoko and Tyebe playing together…is the world coming to an end? Snap sends lovely Tyebe oodles of whisker kisses. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
What amazing memorial things for Budd. We miss him lots 😦

I had never seen a male care so deeply for a kitten. She was truly the daughter he gave birth too. He treated her as his own.

Yep, they actually play together and when Tyebe jumps on Shoko…..Shoko completely disappears. Tyebe is a big girl.

The play thing is great, and I suppose you have to be careful about what you leave available to knock on the floor. Fun game!
