Reminder for In Purrsuit of Flavours.

Have you decided what we’ll be making for our one sheet pan meal, Shoks?  I sure have Tyebe.  Budd gathered up the veggies so we’re ready.

I grabbed some left over veggies in the fridge. What are you calling our one sheet meal? I’m calling it Chicken Shi….Sheet with Cheeses.

There’s more than one cheese? Yes, sirry, Boobyface there are at least 3 cheeses in this meal.

Don’t call me Boobyface…….Witchy one!   Budd raises his eyebrows!  That’s enough ladies…..this is a family friendly blog!

SHOKO…..BLACK
TYEBE…..ROYAL BLUE
BUDD……GUTTER GREEN

This post will also show up in Awww…..Monday at Comedy Plus.

So, In Purrsuit of Flavours publishes on Wednesday so let’s get a cookin’.

I even bought a book with sh…eet meals. I only have recipes for things that you prepare in a pot on the stove and then put into the oven in an oven dish. Which is not quite what is demanded here.

One recipe stood out, that was vegetarian (as the staff of Phenny and Nelly refuse to eat meat):
CASSOULET mit Bohnen, Gemüse und Schafskäse
Cassoulet with beans, vegetables and sheep cheese (yes, you can have cow “feta” if you absolute want to, but it is your loss)

You cut up all the vegetables (sweet potato, tomatoes, red bell pepper, courgette, red onionn and garlic), add beans from the glass, throw all into an oven dish, add salt pepper and some oil and spread it evenly, add rosmary. Cover the dish, bake for an hour, lift the cover, add the feta or “feta” – and give it another half an hour. To be eaten with flat bread.

        Want some more details?
        800 g white tinned beans,
        1 sweet potato
1 kg (about 2,2 pounds) of ripe tomatos, 1 red bell pepper, 1 courgette
1 red onion, 1 clove of garlic, salt, pepper, 5 table spoons of olive oil, 2 twigs of rosemary, 200 g (about half a pound) of sheep cheese

        Heat oven to 180 ° C / 360 -ish Fahrenheit.
        Oil casserole/oven dish
clear beans from the liquid of the tins/glasses and let drip
        peel sweet potato, dice
clean bell pepper, cut into stripes
        wash courgette – dice
        peel onion, cut into wedges,
        peel garlic, chop,
mix everything up to here, add salt and pepper, mix with oil

Spread evenly into casserole/oven dish, add rosemary, cover (with lid or aluminium foil)
get into oven on the lowest (place, not temperature!) set for an hour

then remove lid/foil, crumble cheese over and bake for another 30 minutes

Our trout recipe is ready to roll!

The cheese sounds like a winner too…I Pipo will be snoopervising all the plates in case there might be a tasty morsel left…and also the trout recipe has me up there too, MOL!

Why – you gals are being a wee bit bicker-y…ya can’t be a good working team if you are in spat-mode. Good job, Budd, to set them on the right track:)
