Thankful Thursday at Fort Meezer

This is Thankful Thursday and we do have a fair bit to be Thankful for this day. Zip on over to Brian’s Home and let Terry know how happy you are he’s home from the hospital. Click on the blog name or the badge and poof!, you’re there.

We are pretty lucky cause we have a warm comfy home, treats and peeps to give us attention when we are feeling a little lonely or down.

Mom says I’ve grown so much since I came here. Personally I just don’t see it.

That’s not me!! Some other cat came in and went to sleep on the cat pole. No, I’ve never seen another cat in the house other than Shoko and Budd. Yeah. I guess I’d smell a different cat but holy crap mom, I really have grown. I could sit on Shoko and she wouldn’t be able to fight me.

It’s time for Shoko and her proverb from the Meezers.

“The feline that saves his food for a special day will have rotten food. If you got it, eat it.

Tyebe, you sure HAVE grown! But we think you are still a kitten at heart, right??!

Shoko, tell that meezerism to Pipo…he never eats his wet noms completely…sometimes he just takes a few nibbles and then he leaves it…silly cat…and yes it does spoil and then we have to waste it and put down a fresh one to repeat the cycle…though sometimes he might eat 3/4 of a 3 ounce can. He doesn’t care for the smaller portioned varieties…he likes his Fancy Feast or Senior FF or PurinaSeniorPlus…but still he won’t finish them…but of course today he surprised us all and ate a whole can, down to crumbs. He has never licked a bowl clean…but now if we give him that same flavor he finished, he will not touch it…sheesh…what a finicky feline.

Shoko is a picky eater too but I don’t think as much as Pipo. Have you ever tried, “Lil Soups?” These, to me, are more like treats. Shoko adores them as do the rest…We give them every once in a awhile but not a steady diet and then they get happy to see it. Shoko won’t eat if you watch her….geesh…talk about wanting to hide your head in a sack! Very demoralizing.

Shoko, your meezers proverb was made for schnauzers! How did you know? And Tyebe, you probably could sit on Shoko and hold her down, but we wouldn’t want to be around when she got a sharp clawed paw loose! XOX Xena and Lucy.

Shoko is a wise kitty, I must admit. Yep, I could sit on her and end any discussion. Shoko has short claws cause she gets manicures often. I have sharp claws cause I yell and scream while doing the twist. Nobody wants to cut my claws anymore. mol

I didn’t get smaller…so somethings going right. Mom said that when Shoko came to live with us, she had a big head compared to her body. She was malnourished. None of us are hungry anymore.
