We are participating in Awww Monday through Comedy Plus.
It is a fine Monday here, very sunny and cold enough to freeze the balloons off a floating giraffe. Speaking of floating giraffes, have you spotted any today?
What are you doing, Shoko? This is Aww…Monday not, *Free your Animal Spirit Day*. All this cold is getting through to you. Your brain has turned to mush. mol…haha Get it…mushy brain from freezing and thawin’.
We’re also participating in Sparks. Ann from McGuffy’s Reader started Sparks many moons ago and though she is taking a break from blogging, we liked the idea of a positive thought to start off the week.
Imagine the problems the floating giraffes have…they have to turn completely around and not fall on their heads.
You can see Budd’s problem and mom’s foot but many people have problems you can’t see but these problems are very real. A welcoming word can make all the difference.
What a SWEET Spark. You never know what’s going on with that person you see who isn’t smiling……if you smile anyway, sometimes it gives them the most BRIGHT spot they will have that day!
A very wise SPARK today…hope Mom’s paw is healing up nicely
Oh, and I’m just going outside to see if I can spot any of those cool balloon giraffes
Loves and licky kisses

Happy Monday, Canadian Cats. We have so much snow, they are hauling it away but yesterday afternoon, it was warmer and sunny. There were lots of mud puddles but oh boy, come spring, we are going to need an ark, lol.
They’ve been hauling the snow banks away here too. They don’t have enough to do but it’s started snow again so the city trucks and plows will be busy again.
You’re right, Budd is perfect. He is a real gentleman with Tyebe. They play fight and he’s always so gentle with her. However, life on the streets is hard so he has some baggage but slowly he’s putting his apprehensions aside.
You only see snow….then you’re not looking hard enough! The giraffes are getting away. Sunshine in the form of a smile or a few words can make the hardest heart melt…..even if they don’t show it.
Mom loves cherry trees especially Japanese Cherry Trees. The only ones that grow around here are Sour Cherry Trees. Kinda pretty but not as pretty as the sweet cherries.
If you look hard enough you’ll see floating giraffes. Dr. Seuss saw them everyday.
Its sunny here in California this morning. We have plenty of social issues to overcome, but Sunny mornings isn’t one of them. Hope all are well, or at least mending.
All is good in our household. It’s snowing and gloomy today but it’s 0C. Can’t complain. There’s always social issues…we have em too. I wish there was a thoughtful switch on some people so there would be more kindness.
I remember beeping my horn at a guy driving his car much too slow on the road! I finally got around him, and realized that he was terrified of driving in the snow, and was just doing his best. I was the jerk, not him! I learned a lot in that moment…seeing the man’s face. We don’t know what is going on in another person’s head, so why not relax and give ’em the benefit of the doubt? Hope your momma’s foot is beginning to get better!
You saw your mistake and learned from it. Way to go Victoria! That’s how most of us learn. Or have someone honk at them. As the recipient they know the judgemental behaviour hurts. All is quiet but slowly mom’s coming ahead. Thanks for asking.
I somehow think those poor giraffes have a BIG problem! If we saw those around here, we surely would need some visual examinations, MOL!
Petcretary works with peeps in a nursing home, and some of those that live there have dementia issues…and you know sometimes even us staff forget that they are in that facility for a reason…
And my two rescue brofurs have normal looking ‘outsides’ but they sure have a load of baggage tat they have hidden in their wee heads, esp Dalton. Too bad they can’t tell us their troubles so we can help them feel better.
We just love this quote. We always try to be nice to everyone around else. On kind word or smile can brighten up somebodies day cause you never know what’ going on with that persons life. Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful day.
All the hugs we can find for our wonderful neighbours. Mom will be around soon to visit. Right now it’s a sometimes thing s she struggles to get walking again.
well said… and super true!…we go out now to look for that floating giraffes… do you think they are tasty?

I don’t know if they’d be tasty…just be careful they don’t fall on you. They look heavy and fat.
