Howdy folks, Here we are at the end of 2018. It’s been a year of many changes for me. Kali, my best friend, left for the Rainbow Bridge in February. We were all crushed and so unhappy for months. I no longer had my friend to give a bad time or laugh with over the silly things mom does. In May mom brought a rat home to live with us.
Man, did she stink! P. U. Furthermore she couldn’t do anything fun. She was too small and couldn’t even run that far without crashing and falling asleep.
She was so proud of herself for climbing the cat pole. A simple task for me.
I sat her down and explained how she should act towards me, “You only have to bow once, Tyebe.”
“Oh, there’s a fly! Whatever, Shoko….talk later.” She just didn’t understand the respect I deserved. What a ding dong.
In August, this strange lookin’ furry guy was fascinated with Fort Meezer. He would sit on the mattress under the bench and watch Tyebe playing. Some might even say a dirty ole man but he turned out to want the best for Tyebe and would alert mom if Tyebe was straying.
In September he started coming in the house for some supper. Finally, he moved in and never looked back.
So my home environment has drastically changed. I am slowly getting used to the changes. These two have no respect for their elders but I’ll pound it into them.
It’s time for a selfie. The last Sunday Selfie of the year and our host once again is the ever popular, The Cat On My Head.
Simply click on the name The Cat on My Head and you can visit your friends.
This is my selfie before going out in the wet snow. I think the pose is perfect. Too bad I cut off part of my shower cap.
It’s the last Friday of December and so it’s Photo Fails time. Roby Sweet started Photo Fails and Melissa’s Mochas, Mysteries and Meows are honouring her by continuing the blog hop.
Our first (yes, we have more than one fail) photo fail is of Tyebe. She was looking right into the camera and suddenly turned her head.
It’s a beautiful photo of my gifts though.
Shoko was smiling into the camera and decided she was feeling shy and might….just might have beef on her face. She didn’t want her boyfriend to see her looking unkempt.
Here’s another one of Tyebe. She was looking right at the camera.
When I clicked the camera she just flipped around facing the other way as if to say, “Talk to the tail, woman.”
Our final fail is of Tyebe and Budd.
This fail was totally on me as Budd was doing his part by looking cute and wanting a treat for babysitting Tyebe.
It is also the Friday Fill-Ins, the last one of the year so we couldn’t miss this one. The Fill-Ins are hosted by 15 and Meowing and Four-Legged Furballs.
Today Budd and I will do the fill-ins. I will do the first two and Budd the last two sentences.
1. On New Year’s Eve, I…….PLAN ON WATCHING A MOVIE WITH THE CATS WHILE HUBBY DRIVES FOR OPERATION RED NOSE.
2. A goal that I have for 2019 is …… GOING ON HOLIDAYS TO THE EAST COAST OF THE U.S.A.
3. If I had to choose a guide word for 2019, it would be…..LOVE. I FOUND IT AND I’M GOING TO KEEP THE FEELING GOING.
PAY IT FORWARD SO TO SPEAK.
4. New beginnings……HAVE ALREADY STARTED.
THIS IS MY FUREVER HOME.
See ya next week, friends.
Budd, come!!! Look Shoko. Hurry up, mom…I gotta see in there. What did my Secret Santa Paws bring me…I mean us.
I’ve been so good….it almost hurts. Ya, I get up and run on the counter. Ya, I do tend to eat whatever’s on the counter. Really, I’m sorry bout lickin’ the turkey. I don’t know what possessed me to do that….*wink* *wink* Something just MADE me do it. It won’t happen again. It sure tasted good though. Good idea, keep the turkey off the counter.
Onwards to the toys and treats I er…..we got.
We got a coil….we never had one before. This one has velvet all over the coil….nothin’ but the best for us. hehe
Mouses!! We got many a mousie. Budd and Shoko lived it up on a mousie. There’s nothing like a relaxing game of, “whack a mouse.”
Shoko and Budd are hoarding the mouse so it’s hard to see where the little vermin is…
We’ve never seen a cube before!!
Shoko’s favourite treats were in the box all wrapped up pretty like.
We got a tunnel too mom and it goes on the cube. We NEED it, mom. I don’t think so Tyebe. You have so much right now. PLEASE!! OK, OK. Yippee!
Cool!! I can walk through the jungle and be protected by my tunnel.
A tunnel!! I like tunnels. Go on and play you two and when you’re asleep I shall attack the tunnel. What’s that a cube on the tunnel too. I never had a cube when I was a kitten. You young’uns have such an easy time of things.
Thank you so much to our Secret Santa Paws in the cat blogosphere, Linda Rodgers, Savannah and Sage of Savannah’s Paw Tracks. click on their name and stop by for a visit. They have two fosters at their place that could use some financial support. Lilly and Katie are the cutest kittens. Find out more by visiting Savannah’s Paw Tracks.
TYEBE …..ROYAL BLUE
This is also Thankful Thursday at Brian’s Home and we have many, many things to be thankful for. Go to Brian’s Home Blog and see all your buds.
HAVE A GREAT DAY….I KNOW WE WILL.
I’m so excited!! My tummy’s all twirly inside like I ate something off. I’ll never sleep tonight…. how about you Budd? I’ll be keeping you company at the window tonight, Tyebe.
I heard something on the roof. It’s him Budd…it’s him! Tyebe it’s still light out. He’s not coming till we’re tucked in our beds. Dang.
Mom’s going to read Budd, let’s go. You too, Shoko. It’s so comfy here. I’m getting sleepy. Hurry up mom and read before I fall asleep.
‘Twas The Night Before Christmas
’Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, except for a mouse
The stockings were hung by the chimney with bling
In hopes that more cat treats Santa would bring.
The kitties were snuggled all cozy in beds
With visions of catnip and toys in their heads
Cat mom and cat dad spent all evening wrapping
With gifts under the tree they went to bed happy
When down in the kitchen there arose such a clatter,
They sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Right down the staircase they flew like a flash,
Racing into the great room they heard a great crash.
That’s when they found them—each cat with tail swishing
All focused and staring, growling and hissing
Ignoring their parents’ attempts of distraction
The cats kept their eyes on the prize and the action.
And then without warning the cats began chasing
The small furry creature on which they’d been gazing.
More rapid than eagles they flew down the hallway
Ignoring the shouting of mom and dad calling.
Over the table, the chairs and straight down the hall,
Dash away, dash away, dash away all!
All you could hear was thundering feet
As they ran and then leaped to the top of the tree
The presents were scattered from under the tree
As tinsel and baubles all fell underneath.
That’s when they saw him—he peeked his head out,
To locate the cats-a cute little mouse!
Through howling and protests cat mom and cat dad
Grabbed each of the cats, scrambling fast.
Locked in the bedroom they still heard meows
As they went back downstairs wondering what to do now?
The mouse blinked his eyes and tilted his head
Letting them know they had nothing to dread.
With a squeak and a dart he jumped to floor
And he raced towards cat dad who held open the door.
Before he ran off he wiggled his nose,
Gave a quick wink, finally turning to go.
The excitement was over, they turned out the lights,
Merry Catmas to all, and to all a good night!
Merry Christmas from Purrfectly Holistic

BUDD CHRISTMAS GREEN
What’s this? Be careful mom don’t drop it, A humongous parcel and you say it’s for us. Then really be careful, watch out for my nanner. Don’t trip over it.
Step aside Tyebe or mom will trip over you.
Who’s it from mom? It’s from your Secret Santa on the blogosphere! Seems the presents are for Shoko, Tyebe and Budd. Well, I’ll be plastered with nip! You got goodies too, mom. You’re right, Shoko! I’m pretty lucky. Why is Santa a secret? Probably because he doesn’t want little furries bugging him to see if they can open their presents sooner than Christmas Day. How’d you know that was what I wanted to do? Just a hunch.
