Sunday Selfies with a Hiatus for Canadian Cats

Today is Sunday Selfies at The Cat On My Head blog.   Click on the blog name and go see your friends selfies.
Tyebe and I couldn’t decide whose selfie day this was so we decided to do a selfie together.

We both had our eyes on the fishie prize and because we couldn’t make up our minds who should get the fish, it ran out of juice at the bottom of the sink. Mom rescued the fish though.

It is very smoky, both hazy and stink wise. We are stuck inside because mom won’t let us out in this air. Ashes float on the breeze and are being breathed in. Until the smoke dissipates somewhat we only have each other. Sometimes we get an hour without the smoke and ash and I quickly run to the door to get away from this white brat.

10:30 am Friday morning. The atmosphere is alive with spookiness.  The province is under a state of emergency due to over 600 forest fires burning, some as yet to be controlled.

Mom is supposed to be canning and freezing for the winter so she’ll be tackling this in the next wee while.  Life does go on and by this winter we will enjoy….excuse please, mom and dad will enjoy the veggies.  Tyebe and I would enjoy mom growing a cow in the raised bed.  Sounds like fun, eh?

So we are taking a short hiatus to get things done.  We will be back in about a week or two with a smile on our furry faces and a joke in our hearts.

We’re sending hopes and prayers for your safety and for the fires to be under control and gone very soon….has to be awful breathing in that smoke and ash. Stay safe…..enjoy your hiatus and know that we will miss you and worry about you!!

We’ve had those smoky days too. Not so much of late, but there were times this summer that we couldn’t see the sun because of the smoke. I can relate.

Have a purrfect hiatus. My best to your mom. ♥

Oh my gosh, your air quality is worse than ours. Hopefully the fire season will get under control soon for the entire western hemisphere. Have fun canning all your fresh goodness. We’ll be here when you get back. Nice kitty selfies, girls. Stay safe.

You have a white rat in the house? Oh, wait, you said “brat.” I’ve got a salt and pepper colored one. ~Lucy

Hope the fires are soon a thing of the past and not too many lives, human, cat, rat, or otherwise, are lost to them. Amy

The air looks terrible. We only hear about all the fires in the U.S., and we did not realize you have so many burning where you are. We hope none are close enough to cause a treat to you and your home. We loved your meme. We feel exactly the same way. Take good care of yourselves, and we’ll see you upon your return. Thanks for joining us for the 4th anniversary of selfies. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer

Hope you guys got some of the rain we had here. It washed the air really nice.
