Aww…tis time for our recipe for a sandwich. A tasty sandwich says Bacon of Piglove and Shopping Around the World.
We decided on her open-faced bagel sandwich. Mom says it’s tasty and fast.
Alright, here is the recipe.
OPEN-FACED BAGEL SANDWICH
INGREDIENTS:
2 thin slices of mild onion..cupboard 2 small kale leaves……..in garden dab of mayo…………….fridge dab of butter…………….cupboard dab of mustard………….cupboard 1 bagel………………….from Superstore $1.98
4 cheese slices………….. $4.48 for 16 slices
75 grams Black Forest Ham, shaved…$2.97
2 Slices of one tomato, vine-ripened …approximately $1.39
2 tablespoons cream cheese on top of the sandwich.
$3.18
DIRECTIONS:
Cut bagel in half for 2 slices. Spread butter, mayo and mustard on each side of the bagel. Then put the small kale leaf and 2 cheese slices on each bagel half. The hole is covered so nothing will fall through. Divide your meat between the bagel halves, topping with a slice of tomato each and thin slice of mild sweet onion and finally a very generous tablespoon of cream cheese.
There you have it. The perfect meal for a hot day.
Me’s would like Fancy feast beef with a tad of nip on the side.
Remember my friends, stay hydrated as much as possible. We try our best to be full of water here, in fact, Shoko and me’s call mom Mrs. Peealot. mol *hic*
It’s so easy to forget to have a drink and carry on with what we’re busy at but the body needs it or we can go funny in the head. Me’s always reminding mom cause I think she’s a wee bit funny in the head at the best of times. She’s not boring though. mol *hic*
You had me at “4 cheeses.” Tee hee hee! Mom luvs bagels and your recipe will give her some variety in her lunch menu, and I’m likely to get a sample taste! Mom doesn’t have much imagination when it comes to meal purr-paring. Thanks! Purr purr purr.
Thanks for sharing the recipe. Looks like some fur babies will be happy with it. Yes, we couldn’t agree with you more. This summer has been really hot and got to keep hydrated. Hope you are doing well. Have a wonderful week.
Ladymum iss a ‘Pee-inn macheen’ all so Tyebee! Thee Bee Pee medss do that to her an with thee *heet* shee drinkss so much water…mee finkss shee can flat!!!
About that sammich: WOW!!!! Lookss dee-vine Shoko!
***nose kissesss*** Cuss-inn Dharth Henry xXXx
Oh! WoW! That looks purrfectly Nummy. Mom has been eating loads of Sammiches. Mostly Turkey Bacon and Tomato as her tomato plant has a ton of tomatoes and you only gotta zap the turkey bacon for 2 minutes. I wonder if she would put some fresh nip on the bacon she cooks for me….
And we have been drinking LOADS of water. Mom has to fill our upstairs water fountain 2 times a day! We like the water from the fountain WAY better than a bowl!
Love you grrls

What a yummy sandwich. I love all the ingredients. Did you get the ‘mater from your garden.
We just cannot get good ‘maters at the grocery store. Madi and I like your new header
Hugs Cecilia
Furst of all, you keep butter in the cupboard and not the fridge? Great reminder ’bout hydration Tyebe. We’ve called mommy that name a few times too. MOL Big hugs
I see you are not used to cooler climates. There is no need to put butter in the fridge unless it’s so very hot it might melt. Not that warm. We may get the odd day where it gets that warm but not long enough to shove the butter in the fridge.
MeOW You can keep butter in the cabinets even in the summer?! That’s amazin’!!! OMC Is it on the shelves ‘stead of the cooler at the grocery store too? We’re just speechless with amazement. Big hugs
Good advice about staying hydrated, I even reactivated the cat fountain this year.

Now with smoked salmon, on the other hand, and minus the mustard, it would be purrfect (mol).
