Today Brian’s Home has Thankful Thursday and I’s thankful for several things. Just click on the green blog host name and see what the other anipals are thankful for.
#1 on me’s list today would be the ability to fly around the backyard and study the bugs with Shokos. Me’s so lucky to have a backyard with a garden.
Shokos was telling me’s all about worms. They dig and dig with their wee shovels in the ground to make the perfect home and then in October they sprout wings and fly away till next summer. Imagine!!
yes, she is!!! and we will look if we have winged worms too… bet they are tasty ;O)

I ‘s wonder what the flying worm migration is like? A big cloud must cover the sun when they take flight.

It is fun but remember we only get out and enjoy the full garden about 4 months of the year. The rest of the time it’s pretty cool and the garden is done for the year.

Hi Teddy,
We have learned alot from Cat Scouts and so what if I embroider the truth a bit….makes it more interesting.

Tyebe, it’s good to have a friend who can teach you stuff! The Hubby has stories of getting up really, really early in the AM…before the sun even!…to catch worms for a fishing trip. Me, I’d rather leave worms right where they are, and often pick them up off of the sidewalk after a rain and drop them back onto the soil, so they don’t dry out! Worms are good.

I’s agree. Worms are living things and shouldn’t be hurt. They have families too.

We’s enjoying the garden for you guys too. We get a very short amount of time to be in the garden…maybe 4 or 5 months and then the cold closes in so we’s going to enjoy it while we can. Tyebe says she’s going to tell the worms all about her fishie friends.

Maybe Shoko could teach us about worms, too, ’cause Mom(my) never heard of worms flying. Lucy and Xena

She has never heard of flying worms? That’s right, you live in a warm climate. I’m surprised the flying worms don’t migrate there. Maybe they want a warmer climate.

Worms with wings???? That is the stuff of Mom’s every worst nightmare. She has worm-phobia. Personally, I think worms look delicious – with or without wings…

Shoko, we admire you. To be so patient with a new little kitty. I know it hasn’t been easy-peasy but I hope if/when my mommy brings me a new little sister or brother that I can be as good as you are. (Shudder: she is now thinking about bringing a brother and sister tiny little ones here). I hope this doesn’t mean non-stop kitty attacking on me? Or they might just focus on each other and ignore me? I don’t know which scenario would be better or worse. Can you give me any advice?

Worms have wings!?!? That must be those invisible things that I watch!
Were you and Shoko watching the worms or the bugs in the dirt?

Worms are not invisible. Haven’t youse seen a great cloud of worms migrating south in October? Me’s haven’t seen an October yet but bet it gets really dark.
Me’s felt so much better to read where in your family meal time is every cat for himself andf they jump on the other guy. I’s do that to Shokos. She gets really annoyed but it’s so much fun. Me’s just can’t help it.
