Sunday Selfie with Stubborn Shoko

The Sunday Selfies by The Cat On My Head blog is coming up today so I will pose and take my picture with the remote.

I have just got back from Ireland for St Patrick’s Day. What a hoot. There’s nothin’ like me out for a good time.

Breathtaking view. Einstein, my boyfriend, is looking over the side of the cliff.

Now. on with the selfies. Mom bought a new scratch pole today and I sniffed it all over.

It wasn’t my usual scratch pole so I went looking for the other one.

This is my scratch pole. It smells like me. I can relax now in my own scratch pole. Mom says I’m stubborn and don’t want to try new things. You know, she’s so right but for her sake, I’ll take my selfie in the new cat pole.

Yep, that’s mom in the background. Told ya I was doing my own selfie. Now there’s proof.

Have a great sunny Sunday.

You are so kind Blues family. I am a lucky furry feline. I know my smell will get on it or should I say my aroma…..sounds better. I’ll barf on it and it’ll seem more like mine.

      Shoks.

It is pretty but different. Thanks for the compliment…I really worked hard at the selfie. There is something wrong with the button on the remote. It couldn’t be me, it must be the button. mol

Gosh Shoko I like your new scratch tree but I totally understand how you prefer the old one. You worked hard making it smell just right……in time the new one will have your special furs and smells on it and you can RELAX in it but that DOES take time!!!! We think your “peek a boo” selfie in the old tree is cute too………glad you had fun in Ireland. So did Angel Sammy and I.

    Hugs, Teddy

That sure is a nice colour and size. Maybe you could combine the two trees and poles and have one super big pole?
Anyways I am soo impressed with that selfie, looks like you get the time set up perfectly!

Princess, you are so right. In time I’ll like it, once the aroma of my sweet self is on the material….I’ll love it but right now….no. You got snows again….crapola! Our snow is going down with sunshine and rain. We have about 2 feet in the backyard now. I can see the herb patch or where the herb patch should be.

Shoko, sometimes just liking things the way they were, or liking the old things because we are comfortable with them, is mistaken for stubborn. I’m sure you will warm up to your new scratch pole soon enough. And happy St. Patrick’s Day, beautiful girl.

Ya, mom doesn’t understand that I had bitten a hole in the corner of the old scratch pole when I was frustrated with Kali….I miss that hole. I will get used to the nice new one though. I need time.

Your new pole looks very nice, but of course it is cat rule #1: Never seem to eager with anything new. When the human gives up on you ever wanting to use it you let her know it is the best in the world. Everything in your own time, right?

I love that rule! I know, like I mew…”Whatever mom” and when she leaves me alone and quits trying to get me up the cat pole….I’ll run up and scratch like mad.mol

      Thanks for the reminder.

That’s a nice scratch post, Shoko. We bet if your mom rubbed some catnip on it, you’d like it even more.

Catnip in the box…no….I’d get a fuzzy tongue. I don’t want a fuzzy tongue. Mom used to have a spray of nip but we were scared of it cause it hissed at us so she gave it away. That would’ve been good here.
