1.Before you….. STEP OUTSIDE….. you need to…..PUT ON LONG UNDERWEAR, UNDERSHIRT, SNOWSUIT, HEAVY WOOL SOCKS, BOOTS, GLOVES, SCARF, HEAVY COAT, AND TOQUE. OH YEA, BEST GO TINKLES BEFORE YOU GET DRESSED.
2. After……A WEE NAP, A GAME OF, ‘CATCH THE HUMMER’ IS IN STORE.
Creep closer.
3.Winter…..IS THE TIME TO PLAY. HOW ABOUT A GAME OF, ‘KICK THE SHEET OUT OF MY BLANKIE.’
First, look nonchalant.
Second. Play kitchy coo under the blankie.
Third Attack!!
4. Spring…..IS THE SEASON OF NEW GROWTH.
Up front, to the right are 2 Chervil herb plants. This herb is also called French Parsley. It’s commonly used to season mild-flavored dishes and is a constituent of the French herb mixture fines herbes.
Up front, to the left is Hamburg Parsley. It has parsnip-flavored roots and edible parsley-flavored leaves. This herb intrigued me and mom.
At the back are Poached Egg plants. They look like poached eggs and apparently have a lovely aroma. Oh ‘mother of mouses’, I hope they don’t smell like old eggs!
wow shoko your plant growing station looks very interesting… you could found your own catnip company there ;O))) …and you make da mama happy, she saw the cat as hairy potter although she has more than 40 years on her clock… now she feels like a teenie (sos may day help da weimaraner)
Nice farm you’ve started inside Shoko! Good luck…..egg plants sound intriguing – hope they aren’t stinky! I’m surprised you didn’t plant catnip but then I bet you have some of those in your greenhouse right? Hope you have a happy Friday dear girl……….
They are Rotten…woops I mean Poached Egg Plants. Mom tried them last year. They were too small outside in the garden and someone dug them up. Not sayin’ it was anyone I know but maybe. mol The Chervil mom tried last year and thought the herb was too small to plant out in the herb patch so she planted them in the greenhouse where they would get super exposure to the sun and just grow like stink. Well, not so! Dad came along the next day, thought they were weeds and pulled them out. So the seeds didn’t do so well last year. This is why she started them so early this year. She wants much bigger plants this year.
Chervil, huh? I’ve never grown that, but did know that parsley and parsnips were in the same botanical family, so assume chervil is a close relative, too.
As per the Lennon/Potter cat – once mentioned, I saw both. Prior to that, I saw a cute, but serious cat wearing glasses…
Our growing contraption is a small Aerogarden. They used to be popular but not so much anymore. However, like all things we hang on to it until it falls apart. hehe
Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. It sure sounds cold in your part of the world. I am not familiar with chervil, that sounds good. I like your seed starter. Have a great weekend. XO PS: I am old, I saw John Lennon. 🙂
Shoko, you have already growing plants going on. I have not even thought about plants. You have still winter as we, but it was raining today, so the spring is not very far away.
Have a great weekend.
Kosmo
How about the temperature Kosmo? Is it getting warmer? Rain turns to ice if it gets cold again. I think snow is better than ice. Unless the sun melts all the ice. I wish for you an iceless day. hehe
John Lennon. And I’ve not read a single Harry Potter book, and saw the first move but it was on while at a party, so I really didn’t pay attention. Shoko, we have had flurries every day, and it barely sneaks above freezing, but the snow drops are blooming…or were, until they got covered in snow again…
You simply must see Harry Potter….I even like Harry Potter but then I’m a bit of a Couch Potato Kitty. Of course, I like Psycho too….hehe. You had snowdrops….lucky! We have to wait 100 days for all the snow to melt.
MOL…Never thought of a cow being grown in the herb patch but this is awesome. Ya, maybe its just the hamburgers…yummies! Can’t wait to dig up these Hamburg Parsley to check on the burgers. mol
Your first “going to the store” meme really made me laugh. And the second one definitely tells my age. Jeff has an indoor light herb garden that he really needs to find the time to plant again. It’s hydroponic. I can only grow animals, not plants. And Lucy and Xena say, “Hi,Shoks!”
Shoko, we hope you are feeling better and adjusting to not having Kali around. It breaks my heart that you have to adjust. We love the pictures of you here!
Playtime kicked into high gear last week here but someone took maybe two minutes with their new toy then that was it, mischief ensued. The flower toy looks like fun and so does the idea of a Poached Egg Plant. I see the kitty as Granny from the Beverly Hillbillies how old does that make me?
Granny from the Beverly Hillbillies…..mom remembers her. That was an ecellent observation but Granny was never soft and cuddly like a kitten. She was more like a herd of bees.
That flower toy is the one my mommy added a CD base to it because I would play so rough with it and it would topple over. But I love it. It speeds up and slows down as I bat at it. She used double sided tape to make it less top-over-able.
And my mommy recognized both John Lennon and Harry Potter kitty. She used to have fake glasses like that when she was a teen so thought of John Lennon first though!

That blankie attack looks like a fun game, Shoko…MOL 😀 That furresh kitchen garden sounds delicious, especially the parsely. We hope you’re doing fine ❤ Warm Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend 🙂 ❤
