Mom and dad checked the hotel room a few times to make sure they didn’t leave anything behind. Then it was off to Heathrow Airport. Peeps had told mom it was a very hard airport to get through as it was huge. It was very large but staff at the airport helped mom, so going through security was much easier. They were even early for the plane so looked at various shops. Heathrow is very large with much walking.
The plane ride to Vancouver was very similar to the plane ride to Paris. So I won’t bore you with details. When mom saw the sands of the beach near UBC (University of British Columbia), she got very excited. We are sorry about the poor quality of the photo but the plane wasn’t all that close to the beach. MOL
Upon landing at Vancouver Airport, dad was grabbing the luggage off the carousel when mom came moseying along to remind dad what our luggage looked like. Talk about giving the, “evil eye!” Dad ‘s look could have stopped a Canada Goose in mid honk!
When mom and dad got into their motel room, mom called Barb co-author of, “Nellie, On The Edge.” Barb was not far away and came over to the motel room. They chatted and laughed and then figured it was time to go see a special lady and have supper. Off they went to Barb’s new townhouse. Mom loved the townhouse except for the many stairs but Barb said all this walking is paying off. She had become a few pounds lighter. When they got to the livingroom…..there was Nellie, just hangin’ out.
Can you hear Nellie saying….”It’s Shoko and Kali’s mom and dad…so where is mes protégé, the little devil?”
You left her at home! Mes will just have to go visit her then.
Me’s ready for a nap now.
At this point Barb told mom and dad she made a pot roast with all the trimmings for dinner. They all charged into the kitchen. Although mom and dad were not very hungry as it was 3am in London. If mom is going to have beef, she wants pot roast….this is her favourite beef meal. What a scrumptious meal. Sorry no pictures. If we were home, mom would have asked for a kitty bag. MOL
Time to return to the motel. Nellie was getting ready for a snooze so mom and dad were quiet and let Nellie snuggle down. These are the last pictures of Nellie. It was her time to leave for the Rainbow Bridge. We were so fortunate to know this lovely Queen.
Mom and dad left for Prince George the next morning. I was delighted to see mom and wouldn’t leave her alone all night. I whacked her on the head when she fell asleep. I wanted loves. Kali wouldn’t look at mom but chattered away to dad. Three days later Kali decided mom was ok after all.
We hope you enjoyed mom and dad’s jaunt to the old country. They brought back a virus with them and were laid up for three weeks after arriving home but they’re fine now.
Thank you to all the wonderful bloggers mom and dad visited. You are all beautiful and creative peeps.
.

Hi Kosmo,
Mom and dad will probably be home for the rest of the year. They go on a holiday once a year and they’ve had the holiday for this year. Now, its time for the veggie garden to be planted. The weather is too hot to be planting today so maybe this evening.

I thought while looking at the pictures that Nellie looked ready to cross the rainbow bridge. Still so sad. I think the best part of the whole trip -and it was a very wonderful trip – must have been meeting the anipals and their pawrents that your Mom and Dad have gotten to know through their blogs. I am glad they have finally shaken that nasty bug. Love, Amy and Lucy

Nellie has always been a small slender kitty…maybe in her kittenhood she was more of a slugger. She was about to turn 19 so she had a wonderful life.
Meeting all the bloggers was a high point in mom and dad’s holiday and there were many high points.

The public should be very afraid and if it was the four of us…terror on the paw! Jimmy would tell jokes till the peeps were rolling on the floor with a stomach ache. You would be the model with your fancy boots and nails done in a scratching style. hehe Bill would be the navigator so we would always be lost and I would laugh inappropriately. Wouldn’t anyone be afraid of this foursome. lol
