Artsy, Fartsy Day With Kali

Seems like winter was waiting for us this Friday and snow-covered everything and stayed that way.                                                           aabackyardsnowoctIt’s also time for our artsy photo.  So mom used my picture in pho.to editor once again.  I like it and feel this is how I should be treated instead of just giving me the odd treat….instead get all excited when I’m in the room. MOL                                                                 caturdayartbannerAren’t Athena’s eyes the prettiest green you’ve ever seen.                                                               astarkali

Hi Peaches and Paprika. We are in north central British Columbia. We usually get snow around Halloween but we have 4 inches now. Shudder…..it’s a long winter.

We must come and visit. Got any nip? I could use a wake up roll.

      Kitty Kisses,

I love the heat and sun puddles, but Mom isn’t so fond of it. She got her back hurt about 6 years ago and the heat makes it worse….. she would love to live where there is snow and ice.

Unfortunately one has to drive in the snow and ice, shovel the driveway and try to walk without breaking something. The snow is pretty now but come February it’s disgusting but at least peeps know how to drive in it by then. MOL

According to what I hear, in SC, the sight of one snowflake could cause all sorts of accidents…. I am very glad that your humans have conquered that driving hazard! >^.^<

haha…MOL…Mom heard that when she was down in Georgia with dad. Believe me peeps are pretty stupid around here with the first few snowfalls. As the snow gets drier and folks slow down, driving isn’t as hairy. There are certain stops that peeps are polite about. The stop where the car slides right into the intersection is mom’s fear but peeps don’t honk, just drive around. Most peeps have done it themselves. MOL

Yea, its crazy today on the roads. We have to get used to winter driving again. This snow is the sloppy first snow type of snow. Very hard to drive in and a lot of peeps were taken off guard and don’t have their snow tires on.

Yes that’s right, slap bang in the middle…we do get snow, maybe a couple of inches, then the whole county grinds to a halt! Last year we didn’t have enough salt to grit the roads and they had to bring it in from another county. Mostly we just get rain, the city and surrounding area is built on marsh land that was drained, but now we just seem to have more rain and an inadequate drainage system that was built in the 1800’s …or thereabouts. Lol, sorry that was a bit of a lecture!

The first snowfalls and we are no different than The Midlands. Peeps are so strange bombing down the street on summer tires. Sliding into the ditch and wondering why…geesh! The RCMP get on the radio and advise everyone to stay home unless its an emergency. Then there’s not a soul around walking or driving. MOL
Marshland sounds exotic….at least to us but I guess it really means low lying and filled with rain the majority of the time in the winter.
Seems everywhere has their own weather difficulties.

Isn’t it awful! We are usually jealous of you folks in Ontario because you stay warm for so much longer than us but not this year, I guess. The snow is about 3 weeks early and everyone is rushing to get their snow tires on. We have 4 inches this morning. I think it’s going to be a very long winter but if we get a better summer than this year, I’ll take it.

I have more good days than bad days and my mum says that is what is important. I spend a lot more time sleeping, but when the weather is good my mum carries me out to the field so I can do my patrols. Then she carries me back, but I tell her I have to walk the last bit on my own.

You are doing good then. I have some very bad days but when I’m good mom tries to get me out in the stroller so I can investigate the neighbourhood with my nose. I sleep a lot too.

This white stuff sure is bright even at night. Mom can see me with the lights out! I forgot how bright it was. We’re so happy you and the kitty family are fans…we adore the kitties but especially Phoebe and Sammy P. We have more to do with those two family members.
