Sunday Selfies with Shoko

The Cat on my HeadHere it is Sunday already.  Time for the Sunday Selfies with our awesome blog hop host The Cat On My Head.  After admiring my selfie….visit the others and see which want to pose and which ones are flyin’ by the seat of their furs.

Today I am the stand in for Kali who is kinda spacy and wishes to be left alone with her tiara.

Mom ordered me a vest instead of my harness seeing I was able to rid myself of the harness in very little time.  I got a tiger type vest and mom placed me in it and…..nothing happened.  I would not move.                                                             aaashokovest3I don’t like this!  It feels more secure and there’s no wiggle room.  I look like a wee tiger with a big head.

I guess we’re going to have to practice in the basement again.  I was quite happy with the harness.

Treats?  Ahhh…I’m not movin’.  I don’t care for those treats anyway.  Put some good ones down and we’ll mew.                                                                         aashokovest2

May your selfie reflect the REAL you.

Now, I could definitely be a pirate princess Easy. I like that but don’t like the vest. I know…practice, practice and then more practice. Geesh! I would give you the vest and you could make vest-etti out of it. If only we were closer. MOL

Oh my, Shoks, you are pulling a Lexi. When she was very young, I put a shirt on her and set her on a lower inside the house step. I went out for a half hour and when I came back she hadn’t moved. I could pick her up and set her down anywhere and it was like she was a statue. And of course we know why you didn’t mind your harness – you could get out of it!! You ares till a beautiful girl, even in your cool tiger vest. But the look on your face – if looks could kill!

MOL…Lexi knew where I was coming from….this snug feeling is too weird. Guess mom and I will have to practice in the basement. I was the same way with the harness at the beginning but I got so I’d run down the stairs with the harness on, to practice with the leash. I like the tiger look….I want to scare Kali….MOL The Cat from Hell look is well practiced….MOL

Really? Tell Kali…maybe she’ll wear it. Me? I don’t give a “mew” what’s trendy. Kali likes to be fashionable though. I wouldn’t have known the trend if you hadn’t told me….MOL

Aw but Cupcake you are a beautiful Woofie in your dresses. I can understand you wanting to be fashionable. Kali, well she ‘s a cat of another colour….she’s almost snooty at times.

We think you look super cute in your new vest harness. I know us cats don’t like change and you want your old harness back but I’m sure you will grow to like it. Purrs and hugs

shoko: This is because you were naughty girl and wiggled out of your harness! When I was a naughty wee child (back when dinosaurs roamed) my mom put me in a harness. I was so humiliated, I promised never to run away again if she would take that hideous thing off. She did, and I didn’t. See how that works? Best wishes in your new vest.

Shoko, that is exactly what Calista does when Mom puts the harness on her. She freezes in place. If you recall, Mom wants to get her used to it so she can go to BlogPaws. We really hope you can become accustomed to this. Even though you were frozen in place, you are still darn cute. Thanks for hopping along with us. What an excellent idea for BlogPaws. I think Calista should have a stroller too though. Just to keep her up and away from any woofies. I know I’d feel more secure in a stroller. Mom would very much like to go to BlogPaws but the east coast is far away for us. Even if she did go to one of the BlogPaws events, I doubt if I’d be with her. Perhaps flat me. We need much practicing to get me to move. Oh yes, and some really good treats or I won’t move. MOL

Well, I love your harness vest, Shoko. The mom bought me a harness and the first time she put it on me I wouldn’t move either. But when I found out that if I wear the harness I get to go outside, I can’t wait to wear it. I love to go outside. ~Wally

Well Wally I go out anyway so there has to be something better she’s offering. I did get used to the harness so I’ll get used to the vest. It just takes time. I remember when mom was trying to train me with a clicker. That was a Faux Fu. Each time she clicked the clicker…even with a treat….I’d run away. MOL This drove mom crazy…mew, mew

Uhoh…….we can tell by that face of yours that you are NOT A HAPPY GIRL in that harness – – – probably feels more like a strait-jacket doesn’t it! Well you WILL get used to it. I only once got out of my harness and even at that, I just stood there until Mom got it back on me…haha. Hang in there Shoko – before you know it you will get used to that tiger-ish harness/jacket and feel quite stylish!

I guess I will get used to the vest. I hated the harness at first and dragged my tummy on the ground but I did get used to it. You were a very good guy…waiting till your mom came back. When I get loose, I head for the flowers. MOL
