Yes, I remember the wonderful days vividly! Those carefree days of summer in the veggie garden. I watched Cow Kitty make a fool of himself attacking the pea netting.
I’m sniffing to see if there is enough water here for the peas…..if not I must contribute…MOL
Cow Kitty was delighted to be back in the vegetable garden too. Sitting up on the frame for the peas, surveying the garden.. See how well the Scarlet Runner beans produced this year.
I dipped my paws in the pool water. The pool was an oasis for all thirsty creatures that braved Fort Meezer. We did have more water in the pool. Luckily there were no ducks swimming in it. Cow Kitty would have leaped in the pool if that happened.

We were introduced to our new stroller. I had reservations. I mean a basket on wheels? Seriously? I had no idea of the thrills ahead.
Get outta here you yappy woofies….your mama wears diapers!! MOL…..hiththtth!
Kali was delighted with a slow stroll through the neighbourhood. She is very nosy and happy when out and about meeting peeps.

Kali was happy to let the woofies be and enjoy the fresh air.
We had several walks down the Lane. Cow Kitty even came with us. I didn’t like him with us, he’s too bossy.
Oh mom, can you enlarge this picture? Kali is way behind on the right hand side but she looks like a dot. She always seems to dance to her own tune.
Is that the best you can do? Kali’s still a dot but everyone can see I’m telling Cow Kitty off and he could care less.
We participated with the others with Phoebe’s sunglasses. I felt like a movie star but all was dark. Kali wore them too. She’s not impressed with mom putting them on. Whatever!!
Kali and I entered a few events at the Pawlympics, Easy’s Tuneful Farting, Noodle’s Tongue Rolls and Raspberries and Dezi’s Fly Fishin’. My favourite was Easy’s Tuneful Farting cause it really messed with Kali’s head. MOL
Kali is embarrassed because ladies don’t talk of these terrible bodily functions.
We won ribbons and a certificate for our efforts in Easy’s Tuneful Farting.
This summer I had two teeth out and met the substitute Tooth Fairy. Scary and hairy!
Mom took me for a walk on my harness and found out I can slip out of the harness like a magician.
MOL….that was fun! The look on mom’s face was priceless.
These have been great summer moments in our lives and a fantabulous way to share on Remember me Thursday.
To keep peeps up to date. Here is a picture of mom’s finger without the bandage. No more drugs or pain just a little tightness on the finger.
She gets the stitches out tomorrow. She’s some happy about it.
There you have it our happy memories of the summer. Tomorrow is the first day of Fall and the cold weather.
May all your worms be in the ground my friends! MOL
that was a summer we could make so much memories, I so agree… and we will remember all the good things in winter and even the sad ones what bring tears to our eyes… but now we have fall… a brandnew season and we can go out to look for new adventures… it was a wonderful hommage to summer, a fabulous tribute to send Mrs. Summer off and to welcome Mr. Fall :o)

Mr Fall isn’t as welcome as Mrs. Summer was. He sheds his leaves and is cold…his cold breath blowing in the backyard is enough to make every kitty here on her way.

WOW, that stroller is really nice. M wishes she would have gotten one of those, but now her walking is hampered, so it would have been money wasted she said. If it would have converted into something that could be strapped in the car easily, she would have bought one.

Mom has difficulty walking too Mario but she does her best. We get some fun rides even if she carries a stool in her carryall on the stroller. I don’t think we’d like a ride in the car, we’d figure we were off to the stabby place.

Shoko and Kali, you have great summer memories,in the stroller is nice to sit and watch everything around. My mom needs a stroller, dad could take her out and I could be there too.
Your mom’s finger looks fine, no infection, I wish she is now able to bend it.
Have a sunnu day, my friends.

Mom will never bend her finger. The joint is fused together so it doesn’t bend. This procedure was to get rid of the pain caused by this useless joint replacement.

No problem my friend. Mom is getting used to the lack of usage in some fingers. She compensates like we all would. Big hugs.

I think we maybe had about ten days of “proper” sunshine…tomato plants were rubbish!
LikeLike
Weather wise it was horrible! The tomatoes usually are in great abundance and mom is canning tomatoes like crazy. This year she has 1 and a quarter pints. All tomatoes have been picked and she’s hoping they ripen. Never mind…..my uncle who lives in the mountains left his gate open and cows from the local native reserve wandered in and ate his vegetable garden…except zucchini…they left the zucchini. Wonder why they don’t like zucchini? haha He’ll close his gate next time.

Oh no!! When I’d finished being cross with the cows I’d probably wonder why they didn’t eat the zucchini either..lol! My son doesn’t like them either…zucchini, not cows..I managed enough tomatoes for one pot of chutney. Hm. Your Mom could try putting hers in a brown paper bag..or with a ripe banana. Might help them to ripen 🙂

Such an eventful summer! Glad your moms finger is healing up and stitches are coming out. It looks like quite an ouchie! Hmmm…I wonder how my two little brothers would do in a stroller like that… ~ Wags and woofs, Kona

Kali and I don’t fit in the stroller. She’s such a hog, sorry Bacon, when it comes to the stroller. She stretches out so nobody else can get it. Geesh! So your brothers would have to be small. I think mom should have got a much bigger basket.

Yep, we sure did. I could’ve done without the toothaches and losing my teeth to that huge substitute Tooth Fairy. He was very generous though.

Oh I do hope the surgery helps your Mom’s finger feel better…..it looks scary but surgery and stitches just ARE aren’t they! I am SO happy you decided to get that stroller – you girls have fun being chauffeured around I’m sure. It was a bad summer here for gardens – I think Mom got about four tiny tomatoes from her plant – although now that the weather is cooler, it’s growing like a weed (maybe it is a weed?!). Hugs for a happy Fall girls…….

I thought you did better, weather wise than us Sammy. Guess not. Some places are stinking hot…we could use some warmth. Although most of the garden is gone now. Just root crops left. Mom says she had never seen a slug here in the eight years we’ve lived here and this year there were lots and lots of slugs. Yuck….slimy things.

Slugs are disgusting and we DID see them – they love hostas (unfortunately). We had a lot of super hot days and not enough rain – that made for an UGLY summer and probably will mean an UGLY Fall. Sigh.

Wow….fry fish on the sidewalk! That’s hot. We never had weather like that. You’d freeze up here. Mom says a perch perched on her hand would solve a lot of problems.. Hungry…grab a bite, the aroma would attract more furry felines to our place. Kali would be delighted, The cool perch would stop the burning feeling in her finger and finally if someone ticks her off a perch in the face should improve their attitude.

WE NEVER HAD MUCH OF A WARM SUMMER SO WE’RE ENVIOUS. So sorry for yelling at you. Cow Kitty is a great killer of all small things. He brings several of his trophies over here. Mom doesn’t appreciate it and sends dad out to get rid of them. It’s one part of Cow Kitty I like. My hunting skills have suffered over the last two years.
We loved your post and see that you have become the International Tooth Fairy. Great idea.
