Strolling Around Fort Meezer

There has been so much rain that the flowers and plants either grew like stink or were drowned.  Mom and I looked around the garden at the damage and growth earlier today.

Seems to us the Clematis, Alpine Willy decided to put a barrier of green along the front porch.  Willy is indeed very happy with the damp weather.  I hide in the growth and jump out at mom and Kali.  I scare Kali every time.                                                                aaaalpinewillyKali should be out here helping me show you our garden.                                                                             aaakfinal

A close look into the house shows us that Kali is sound asleep on top of the condo penthouse.

acknap

Cow Kitty is grabbing a quick nap under the hose roll.

Everyone seems to be sleeping but me.  I’ll show you more of the garden soon. *yawn*, time for me to have a nap too.

aashgardenMay you always find a treasure when you dig a potty hole.                                                                           SHOKOKALI2

If, you look in the front bed with the clematis, you’ll see a plant that’s standing tall. We call this plant the broccoli plant. No, mom hasn’t tried eating it but it looks like broccoli.

Thank you for the tour. And for letting me have a glimpse of cow kitty 🙂 That sounds like a fun game to hide and jump out.

Hi Shoko! I like your game with Kali- bet she doesn’t think it’s a game! Mom and I played a fun peekaboo game tonight and I barked a lot and upset Piper. He didn’t think it was a game. It’s nice to see the sun shining there. *tail wags* Lexi

She probably thinks a dirty old tom is jumping at her, trying to flash her and then she sees its me and is ticked off….do you think she’d rather see the flasher tom? MOL

Noo…I wouldn’t do that…really! I don’t think she would be very pleased and I’m pretty sure she won’t grow any more…although I do quite like the idea of dog-sized cats…lol!

I think Cow Kitty has it a little tense at his house with 2 human children under three. You’d think the mother of these kids would explain to the kids not to grab him. Cow Kitty backs away when mom goes to pat him. So he comes over here for a rest.

WOW! Rain really does make things BIG doesn’t it. We have the same thing here – stuff is bigger and needs trimming more than ever! Is that cow kitty under the hose?????

I never thought of Alpine Willy on steroids but you are so right.. It is huge. We seem to be getting the whole neighbourhood cats in the yard. Think mom is getting tired of all the visitors.

We haven’t had to worry about watering for several weeks. The sun can be torture when it keeps beating down. We haven’t had that problem this year so the only thing mom has to water daily is the hanging baskets. They are so root bound! Kali is sleeping on the arm chair and I’m thinkin’ bout charging around the Lane before the rain starts again. Keep cool Cuz.

Hot, hot weather is worse than cool weather. Remember, when you were saying the weather was too cool well, look at it now. We have not had warm weather but are expected to get it next week. Perhaps it will cool in Ontario then. We’re hoping thins get a little more back to normal.
