I walked out on the deck this morning, like every morning. I ducked and then ran under the bench. What’s happening here? I had to dodge our patio furniture to get anywhere near the bench. The wind dang near bowled me over.
I hollered at the glass door for mom to let me back in. Whew! Talk about a surprise. As I was looking out the glass door look who I saw.
Doesn’t Cow Kitty blend in with the snow. He’s very hard to see until he moves. He is one huge dude too!
I wandered outside in the afternoon. The wind had dropped but whatttt? This is something new. There are hundreds of birds swarming in the neighbour’s trees.
That’s it…….I’ve had enough of today outside. Each time I come out, a new terror awaits me. I can tangle with one or two birds but hundreds….forget it.
Kali, I tell ya, there were thousands of birds dive bombing me, really!

Dad says they passed over. I guess they were flyin’ south for the winter and filled up here with more food. They scared the beejeebers outta me though!! All seems quiet now though.

Safe and sound inside is always my favorite place to be. You are smart kitties. Strike one – the wind. Strike two – the bird invasion. Strike three….. Yeah. Stay in the house.

Looks like a cold day anyway so why not just stay inside and stay away from the dive-bombing birds?!?! Poor Cow Kitty – I think HE should have been at home inside in the warm too!

haha…I can see me carrying an umbrella! With a gentle poke here and a harder poke there ♫ ..EEE….III..EEE…III…OOOOO♫ That dang hornets nest….do you think its still being used? Where do the hornets go during the winter? There are none here anymore but where are they? They don’t go south for the winter so where are these gaffers. Can you imagine them flapping their wee wings to head south. It would take like forever.

I have no idea why all these birds flocked over to the 3 houses across the lane for 3 days in a row but they did…..no sign of them today. Cow Kitty was in top shape….he ran at me, the frisky guy. Guess he was trying to keep warm. I scratch like mad on the stairs dad made for Kali….even Kali scratches her heart out.

All those birds are scary! It has been very windy here as well. Yesterday I went out my cat flap into the garden and got blown over. I went right back in and laid beside the fire!

Flynn, where do these winds come from and what did we ever do to deserve this kind of harassment? You got admit the wind certainly airs out the coat…no musty smelling coats around here. hehe

OMC! I knew the Trout Towne Tabbies would have a cow over those burds. HAH! Cow Kitty should stay in his nice warm house or maybe you could invite him over.

Funny, I knew when I mentioned the boids that Trout Town Tabbies would have plenty to say bout these guys. Cow Kitty goes into the greenhouse for shelter if he’s caught outside but I notice he isn’t out too long anymore.

You are much safer in the house anyway. I am glad to see cow kitty made an appearance. I want that cat and I do have an opening. Good thing I don’t have a passport or I could get in trouble for cat theft.

haha…mom has thought about taking him a couple of times but always gives up the idea. Cow Kitty is so big now, mom would have trouble carrying him. I run when I see him. I wonder if he’ll be scared of Kali anymore?

I am closer to you this week – northern Illinois. It snowed like crazy today and I had snow stuck all the way up my legs last time I had to go in the yard.

Northern Illinois? I must get mom to pull out the map and show me. You had snow stuck up your leg….*shivers*. I know that kind of snow……its the wet kind. It’s awful stuff. I slip and slide on it. Give me the dry powdery kind any day. Although it has to be super cold for that kind. mmm…neither kind is good. MOL
