Did you say dad made this, mom? He did a pretty good job. I like it. There’s a comfy bed in there too.
Let’s head out for a walk mom. Kali, how bout you? The backyard is looking pretty good. Perhaps a wee jaunt along the Lane is just what I need.
Looks like Cow-Kitty’s coming too.
The city crew came by yesterday and cut back the grass and up and coming new trees. They also stripped the apple tree as it was full of apples and an attraction for bears getting ready to hibernate. Mom say’s the owner will be paying a hefty sum for the city maintenance crew to clear the property.
The crew picked a bowl of organic apples and gave them to us. Of course all the apples are organic as they’re just plain neglected.
These are the sweetest and most vermin free apples mom’s tasted in quite awhile.
Cow-Kitty is playing with me in the dead leaves.
Time to take our apples and go home.
Yup the apples are yummy, you should try some Skok’s. Dad

We are happy the way we are. We are not running in traffic as there is no traffic. The bears would make an early morning run if they came as this is a well built up part of the city. It would be easier for them to take garbage. We are not allowed out in the early morning…everybody’s asleep and late at night we must stay in. There is always a possibility we could get into trouble as there is a possibility we could die from an illness. I seem to go out less and less without mom and if I do I just hang around the yard.

That was a nice jaunt. A long time ago, at another house the mom lived at, there was an organic apple tree in the backyard. The mom picked the apples and made pie with them. She said they were really good.

Delish…your mom must be talented that way, my mom doesn’t bake so she’s hoping dad will bake one. He makes very good pies or so mom says. He just doesn’t bake often.

MOL Drunk sheep!! I love that story. That’s what happens up here with the Ash Berries. The birds get drunk on the fermented berries although I’ve never seen a bird fly into a house, it was so drunk.

Whoa! TW has things called 45s with that Sun logo but I can’t sleep in them! She bets those apples were the best. I bet she’d eat them even though they’re not Macouns. MOL!

TW still has 45’s…they’ll be worth money one day. Then maybe she’ll buy you a special bed. Mom says she remembers having the sun logo on 45’s too. Mom’s are long gone now though. What are Macouns? I sure never heard of them. Mom not being an apple eater hasn’t heard of them either.

Macouns are only available in October through our Thanksgiving and grown in New York State. They’re very juicy and sweet and named after a Canadian.

Really? Macouns? Now, this is something we must taste. Maybe we should come to New York during those times in order to get one. There are none around here. I will ask our local grocery store why we don’t have them, after all they’re named after a Canadian. Let’s see how big that goes over.

I’m glad the city crew did that before howl-o-ween… you never know what can lure in that jungle around the house… but I bet the owner of that house is not happe when he sees the bill :o)

You’re right Easy, that house is the perfect Halloween house. It doesn’t look as spooky with the grounds trimmed and looking pretty good. The owner deserves a bill from the city. Mom says the city would send out warnings of what would happen if he didn’t fix the place up and he chose not to. MOL

Oh boy! Nice sweet (and FREE) apples! Nice that the city cleared that lot so you and cow-kitty can play without getting lost in the tall grass but I’m sure the owner of the place will be sorry they let that happen when they see the bill!! HAHAHAHA Oh well….too bad…..

Us, seen a bear? No way my friends. Mom has seen a few bears, black and grizzly. She says they don’t act like Yogi and Boo Boo. They don’t care about the basket. MOL They are usually hungry by the time they make the city limits. She stays far away from them. Dad is eating the apples….that’s a good idea. I’ll see or rather mom will.

Bears… *shiver*. We rented a cabin in Gatlinburg one year and Mom was worried about the black bears. I asked why she didn’t just buy bear spray-you know, like flea spray-and then she showed me a picture of a bear. I didn’t want to go out by myself after that! Glad you are now safer and have delicious apples – I love eating apples.

MOL If I ever saw a bear, I’d be so stunned I would probably go tinkles right there and then. Mom told me they can be huge. We have both Grizzly and black bears but I don’t think they’d make it this far into the city but you never know.
