A Meander Through Fall’s Picture

Let’s take a stroll through the Lane.  Our neighbours worked and got rid of some trees earlier during the summer.  There was a loud racquet for days coming from this backyard.  This is what they added.                                                           A wire fence or a section of it.  Looks like some peeps are ready to play hockey out here.  These folk had a B & E early last year and this is their protection now,  a new fence where everybody can walk around it.

The lane dressed for fall in orange and yellow with a tad of green.                                                                                   These trees are tired of the orange and yellow and are darned near nekked already!

I’m coming mom.  Slow down I gotta read the newspaper and find out who’s been here.                                                                                 Can you find me?Spot the Siamese!  MOL  Pretty good hiding place, eh?  I still can’t catch a mouse though….I’ve tried everything…cwap!                                                                 Ahhhh….feels good to lay down.

Kali is doing her best impression of Robert De Niro in Taxidriver, “You lookin’ at ME?”

Here is a slightly blurry picture of Cow-Kitty looking proud as punch.                                                                               Yep, you’re right, this is a pile of dirt on Showkali Island.  Cow-Kitty was sleeping in here when mom got up this morning so she took him a bowl of Purrfect Bistro Duck Pate.  He proceeded to gobble it up and then he buried his bowl.  Mom had never seen this before have you?

Maybe Cow Kitty thinks he’s a doggie? That was a lovely walk through your lane, Shoko, but I don’t know about the fence of your neighbours, I’m only glad, that you still can walk around it 😀 That’s a purrfect impression of Robert, Kali, when I saw the picture, I knew it immediately…MOL 😀 Pawkisses 🙂 ❤

You mean dogs bury there bowls after eating the food? You could be so right Binky. Cow-Kitty does have a doggy brother living in his house. Actually the snows don’t come until the end of October or November. Then we can’t get to the lane until May of the following year. I think this is why I love to be in the lane so much…my time in the lane is limited. Kali is a great one for impressions of human movie stars. MOL

WOW – that fence should do wonders for protection. There’s no way anyone would think to walk around it… nope not at all – rolls piggy eyes. Some people huh? Too funny. Loved your walk my friend. XOXO – Bacon

Burying a food bowl could be trouble. Where does the next meal go?? When Mom first adopted me, I used to carry my bowl all over the house when it was empty. That is the opposite of burying it!

    Love and licks,

I don’t know where the next meal goes. I don’t always feed him…just when I think he’s been out all night and would be hungry. I got the idea that burying the bowl was a matter of not leaving anything out that can ID him. Like bury his bowl cause it has his smell on it. You raise a good point Cupcake….I’ll keep an eye peeled for this behaviour.

I agree….the neighbours are nuts! When they had a B&E, mom witnessed it and went over and told them. The man that was cutting the grass argued with her. She went around and into the backyard and pointed at the broken window. The man then went inside and discovered some stuff missing and called the RCMP. Peeps are different….they can be downright weird.

I think its pretty smart to break in during daylight hours. This type of behaviour would be a dead give away at night but during the day it looked like someone popping into visit. He didn’t look suspicious. The big give away was the garbage bag slung over his shoulder as he was leaving..

Hey, yous…we like birds…it took forever for them to be on our TV. You got a point with Cow-Kitty…maybe that’s why he buries his bowl…what a shock when he digs it up and there’s nothing there. MOL

Hmmm, one of the previous dogs, Sam, did that to her food bowl when we were out camping – almost every time. Great shots of all you cats!

Cow-Kitty is smart…he’s a bit weird though. Kali and I were mellowing out on the deck this morning…dozing and enjoying the warm weather when Cow-Kitty jumped up on the deck and then jumped high in the air with his arms spread out and then ran away. He scared the cwap out of Kali and me! Hooolllyy! My heart was just a doin’ flips. We both hissed and ran into the screen on the door. I’ll bet he’s over by the greenhouse laughing at us.

Maybe….you’re both jokers and have lotsa energy. You don’t have spots like him though. He’s long haired too. He is very shy. You both are gentlemen. I think that’s more Lady Mum’s doing though.

Well, you sure are a gentle mancat, Dharth. We all have our moments when we behave badly….even Kali does and she is 13. So I guess we never outgrow a little tantrum now and again. It keeps mom on her toes. MOL
