Sunday Selfie

Last evening it looked really cwappy.  So Kali and I decided to just hunker down and bug mom today.

scary sky Kali played with The Cat’s Meow                                                               While I was busy trying to scare mom.                                                          Mom was in the kitchen making Chicken Broth out of all the old bones from 11 roasted chickens.                                                                Mom says there is lots of room in the freezer now.

Cow-Kitty was on top of the arbor.

He’s attempting to ruin the reception on Bird TV!

bird TVzoomed                                                                                     He’ll never catch one of those birds….he might as well have a horn announcing his arrival.  MOL

Here is Kali acting like a human model….looking all ticked and disgusted.  Actually, she had a big smile on her wee face but you can’t see it.  MOL                                                                          This is Kali’s selfie for The Cat on my Head’s blog hop.  Click on the blog hop name and look at all the beautiful anipals that suddenly appear before you on the screen.

The way Cow-Kitty is going, he won’t attack anything. This is all part of growing up. Learning to understand that the birds won’t run into his mouth. I used to think they would be happy to jog on into my mouth. No such luck.

Cow-Kitty has lots to learn yet. We’re just happy the birds are here. All winter they refused to come eat and now they can’t get enough. Picky guys too! I watched them and they were throwing the kind they don’t want on the ground. MOL Pretty smart, if you ask me.

Misty May could give cow kitty some lessons. She’s been so bad lately catching about one bird a day. We realized she had lost her bell, and so we replaced it with a much larger one. She is still too stealthy for the birds. Shoko, you would have scared us if we’d seen you looking in the window like that. Mom says what you called a cwappy evening looks really beautiful to her. Thanks, Kali, for the selfie. We really appreciate y’all joining us in hopping. Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

Misty May is going through what Kali went through several years ago…she would catch all flying things. I was closing the curtains one evening and saw Kali running down the side of the road in hot pursuit of a huge bird. Her speciality was hummingbirds. Peeps would look at mom as if mom caught the hummingbirds. Mom had to tear out all her butterfly bushes and any plant that attracted hummers or small birds. The bells don’t work against the birds. I think the bell only makes me go ever so slowly to be quiet. We love your blog hop and always have but mom seems to get side tracked and sometimes we don’t get there.

      Big hugs,

I’ll tell you Ellen…he’s over now, sleeping in the greenhouse. I got up night before last and peeked out the sliding glass door at 3am. There was Cow-Kitty sound asleep on the bench. I was horrified that he was out at this time of the morning. When I looked out at 6am…..he was gone. Hubby and I talked about it and he wants to find some insulating material to build Cow-Kitty a house for the winter…just in case he gets shut out. Of course, the house will have to have heat.
