Can we talk? I want to talk about dining habits friends. So sit down and pull up a blankie.
Shoko and I were having fun at meal time. See, mom would leave down our dry Siamese cat food all day and we would fill up on the crunchy goodness. Come time for our meal of wet food, we weren’t all that hungry so would play games with mom. Like take a taste and back away in horror. MOL It got to be a real fun game. Shoko and I would try and outdo the other with our reactions. I would gag and Shoko would look at mom like, “If she’s going to be sick eating this cwap, I’m not having any of it.” and walk away with her head held high. We continued on this way for awhile all the time meowing at mom’s expense.
Then one morning a little bit before breakfast I got up to partake of this crunchy goodness. There was no food bowl on our placemat! I ate the odd piece that had fallen out onto the mat. Dang! I was still hungry. Shoko sleepily staggered over for some crunchies too. Friends we were ticked! We decided that we would tell mom about this injustice and have her put our crunchies down. So we decided one of us would approach her and let her know we’re starving out here, while she is snoring away. I went into the bedroom and ran up my stairs meowing all the way. Mom looked at me through bleary eyes and muttered, “Che che nog nog.” What? That doesn’t make sense. I smacky pawed her shoulder several times to which she replied the same. OK Shok your turn. Shoko smacky pawed mom’s arm and then ran around her pillow, finally settling on the top of the pillow. No response. So we waited for her to wake up.
Finally mom woke up! We both tried to tell her about this absurdity with our dry food. Mom and us sauntered out to the kitchen where mom still didn’t put down our dry crunchies but opened a tin of wet food….our favourite really…..a Fancy Feast beef flavoured tin. We were starving to death before her eyes, so we dug right in.
Hey, this wet food tastes pretty good. Seems our eating habits are changing. Dry food vacates the placemat 3 hours before wet food time. We still are miffed at the change but as you can see we eat our FF beef flavoured without the dramatics,
Thank god, it is finally quite around here! Dad. MOL

wow that was dangerous … for your humans… I mean you are related with lions and tigers… and who would like to sleep next to VERY HUNGRY lions? Great the food problem is solved… in case of empty bowls send me an sos and I send you one of my dried salmons… they are super tasty, but they stink to high heaven. My momma blocked the door bell, she said she is not brave enough to let people enter my fabulous rotten salmon crib :o)

Well I eat both wet and dry but if one of them is MISSING at my food station for any reason I certainly WILL go find Mom and give her a tough time! Food is one of the finer things in life and we don’t want anyone to mess around with our feeding schedule OR what’s on the menu!

MOL…I kinda mess with mom at meal time so I guess she can mess back again. She says that when I can eat both the dry munchies and the wet that she’ll restore the dry right up to dinner time.

Whoa! TW always keeps a little cup of kibble out for me but the times I refuse to eat my gut rot, she takes away the kibble. Then I have no choice unless I starve. She’d love it if I didn’t eat kibble at all.

MOL…good one Sammy P. We never thought of that one. BTW mom took our extra toys and a sample of New Balance dry cat food over to Cow Kitty’s dad. We also asked when they plan to get Cow Kitty fixed. Cow Kitty’s dad was not so happy to see mom this time. He thanked her for the toys and food and said they could manage the spay/neuter thing on their own. Peeps!

No, we’re not in the Hello Kitty group at scouts. Mom seems too dang busy these days. Maybe once all the veggies are put up for the year. Cow Kitty has been very active over here lately. He doesn’t eat here though…….he wouldn’t be past stealing it.

WoW! If our Mommy tried that, Jo Jo and Kozmo would likely rips her face off and eats it! Actually, wes LOVES our wet food. Between the 3 of us wes gots two double dishes with wet and dry. The dishes is filled at morning and at supper. Mommy splits a tuna sized can between the 2 dishes and adds warm water to each. Then fills the crunchies. And that’s it. If wes eats all the wet food, no more comes out until the next feeding time. If wes eats all the crunchies, no more comes out until the next feeding time. Somedays wes eats it all, somedays not.
Mommy says the magic ingredient is the warm water…wes agrees!

Shoko and Kali kitties, I don’t understand. Why would you fill up on kibble when there will be yummy wet food coming? This just doesn’t make sense to a schnauzer. I often refuse to eat my dry food until Mom mixes in the canned food just right. Dad feeds me in the morning and he just plops the canned food over top. Mom comes in, sees the mess with me just looking at it (I can’t hold a spoon or I would take care of it myself) and fixes it right for me. Well, enough about me (ha, ha, don’t believe that one). I do like your food mat – how appropriate!

Do you eat any Performatrim now? Mom found one that we like…it’s called Merrick Purrfect Bistro….we got the Duck Pate. It is expensive compared to FF….$1.49 for a little tin. Mom gives us one of the good one and then more FF beef flavoured and then another Duck Pate. You get the idea.
