Shoko Helps Mom

Kali has finished her ear drops.Β  Her ears feel a lot better.

The wet look

The wet look

Kali’s face has been washed with soap and water and still looks the same….very greasy. Any ideas as to how to get rid of the grease?

Mom showed me how well my silvervine was growing today.

silver vine?

silver vine?

You sure this is silvervine mom? Here may I have a sniff? I’ll be able to tell right away.

SNNNNNIFFF!

*SNNNNNIFFF!..hack…hack*

Ewww…this is a weed, mom. You’ve been nurturing a weed to a huge size!

Really mom. its not silvervine.

Really mom. its not silvervine.

After throwing the three pretend silvervine away….we decided to clean the oven. Heck, its no problem at all. Mom just turned a few knobs and dials and then we waited all afternoon for it to clean itself…It was mighty slow though. When mom pulled out the drawer on the bottom….what did she find…yep, lots of dust bunnies and my long lost mouse tied up with a pipe cleaner. I wonder who tied it up? eh…who?

That was a good days work…I’m headed out to lay in the flower garden.

Ok, use your imagination friends. I'm lying behind the pink Phlox.

Thank you my friend. Kali is rather fed up with getting this oil and runs whenever I go near her so I’ll wait till tomorrow. Thanks for reminding me about dawn….I had hear that dawn works on animals when there has been an oil spill but guess I forgot.

Clean the OVEN!!! ewwweee! our Mommy always leaves ours so long that wes has to disable the smoke alarms when we cleans it! An yes, mes can imagine NOT seeing yous behind the Phlox and the greasy face, how old is Kali? If she is older than 7 it could mean she has tyroid disease…

haha…your mom has to disarm the smoke alarms…..MOL. I think mom did that once and it scared the hell out of her so now she tries to do it more often. Kali is going to be 13 this year but it isn’t her thyroid,,,it was the greasy drops we put in her ear. She didn’t have a grease problem until we started this….her ear feels a lot better though.
I never seem to win but I get a kick out of the other anipals sentences so I’ll enter Penelope.

I am glad Kali is feeling better. Did the silvervine not come up or did the company not send you the correct seeds?

All we got was the weeds we showed on the post. They were costly…when you think we got nothing. For 10 seeds, it cost $20. So mom says no more seeds of silvervine for quite a while. We have to settle for the catnip out in the garden.

Kali looks adorable and I’m happy her ears are better! As for the silvervine/weed – we don’t know what a silvervine looks like but that does look a lot like a plain old WEED! MiracleGro is FAB potting soil though……so not sure what to think! You started from seeds? Hmm…… Anyway, “if at first you don’t succeed, try try again!”.

Kali has had the “dawn” treatment and is drying her face in front of the electric heater. Those 10 silvervine seeds were pretty expensive….works out to $2 a seed so we will leave it for now and enjoy our other nip. That nip is booming right along.

Today is the day mom goes after Kali’s face with Dawn liquid dish soap….if its good enough for ducks during an oil spill….its good enough for Kali. The dust bunnies must’ve been the ones that tied my mousie up with the pipe cleaner…thanks FM. They’re pretty wicked little bunnies.

So bummed to hear about your silvervine! We were looking forward to hearing how you did with it. We still haven’t found plants. The one place we found is out and going out of business so not getting more. They gave mom another name but she hasn’t followed up yet. Glad Kali’s ears are better.

I was quite upset that mom has been nurturing a weed for weeks now. I doubt if a nursery around here has heard of silvervine catnip. One nursery mom did ask just kept saying…”what?…what kind of vine?” Today will be clean the grease off her face day. Mom is equipped with dawn dish detergent.

Mom did get rid of most of the wet look but there was a wee bit left and Kali rolled in my garden so she has a dark head and whitish body….time for another bath….spot cleaning on her head.
The silvervine was a disappointment but we do have the other nip so no panic here….not yet.
I loved that mousie and mom got rid of the dust bunnies and untidied him and the mousie and I were off.

Silly Kali, she doesn’t usually roll in the garden…its just dirt right now….mom and I haven’t planted yet but dad has dug the sail. You are very young for liking ANY catnip. I didn’t care for it when I was your age but after I hit 1 year old, I developed a taste for it. Something about our tastebuds being to juvenile until we reach one.
That poor mousie is hiding from me under mom’s dresser. What a scaredy mouse!

yep, I didn’t like nip dry or growing until way after my first birthday. I just couldn’t get a zip from it and then after awhile…woohoo it was like riding a rocket to the moon! I wouldn’t advise on doing it too often as I got a heck of a headache if I indulged too much. I have a friend, Mortimer is his name and he is a “nip head”. He loves his nip and has become quite forgetful lately. After talkin’ with him, I don’t have to worry about overindulging….he is a sobering reminder of what nip can do. I think mousie was batted under the stove and forgotten…poor guy. He is free now though. Don’t forget its Kali’s Gotcha Day tomorrow. She will be 13.

    Big hugs cuz,

It is awful when we lose someone we love and feel so close to but we are just feeling our loss. The one that is gone is no longer in pain and can now relax and be with those that have gone before. The Rainbow Bridge means a lot to us and we believe we see our friends and family when it is our time. This earth is only a stopping point on our journey. Our loss iis something private we must deal with but we will see our friends again.
