Typical Tuesday

Today has been a laid back, do whatever you want day….at least for Kali and I. I started the day with a surprise wash from Kali. I wasn’t sure if she wanted some form of payment so I was a little suspicious of her motives.

DSCN3234

After Kali gave me a bath. I was off to the ensuite to examine the shower. Mom has to be kept up to date on the shower condition….does it need cleaning or what? She is a tub freak and dad is the shower freak…sorry dad, you’re not really a freak. Just a term us kitties use for anyone that likes water.

This is lookin' kinda tacky mom....could use a few squirts of a cleaner and some paw power.

Nothing says I can’t have fun with my silvervine catnip bird while looking for grime.

Kali and I grabbed a small bowl of Fancy Feast Beef for breakfast. I cried out, “Where’s the beef?” in my best dramatic voice. Mom is getting used to it and just walked away. Kali headed into the living room to sit on our tree condo and practice taking selfies for the blog hop on Sunday.

Now this is close up

I headed off to the hall for some practicing on my balancing bar.

I wonder if I could scale this wall and be the first SpiderCat?

Peeky!!

Woohoo, look Kali…its warm out…let’s blow this joint.

So warm!

So warm!

Mom, its not that warm…let us in!!

It's cool!!

It’s cool!!

I’ll help you with our post mom.

You sure are making a lot of mistakes mom. Whatda mean....I'm in the way? I usually lay here.

I gotta go tinkles mom…..please….let me out….P L E A S E!!

Whew....just made it outside

The rest of the afternoon was much the same with in and out, in and out.

Mom is off to bed and we’re following to get a good comfy spot. We start a new book tonight.

Bring on the new book, mom

Bring on the new book, mom

The new book is titled, “More Cats in the Belfry.” In this house the author, Doreen Tovey, has two Siamese cats. This sounded good to us so we wanted to hear how other families like us live. It is an uproariously funny book and an excellent read before turning the lights out for the night.

What a fun, relaxing day! Not quite as relaxing for your mom who had to let you in and out and in and out and type everything twice because of kitty interference.

Oh mom…well she’s pretty good with the in/out thing…..she ignores me after awhile and I have to bawl, the Siamese bawl….it gets right under my skin when I do that so dad is the one to get…..he opens the door without thinking about it. As many times as we go to the door…he lets us in/out.

Sounds like you girls had a grand day…..sunshine, shower inspection, foodables, even a free bath from Kali for Shoko – sounds like a good way to spend a pretty day. I do the IN/OUT/IN/OUT/IN/OUT thing all day long too….keeps Mom on her toes!

You’re right Sammy, it was a good day. No spooky things happened and there was no hissing match to deal with from Kali. Mom would like to find a screen door with a little cut square at the bottom so during the summer, when the door is open we can go in/out/in/out till our hearts are contented.

Then you’d probably be more interested in a typical day in Kali’s life…..she is way quieter than I am. She plans to write a post very shortly. Getting her motivated is a challenge but dried chicky boobs usually gets her moving.

Pretty much….some days we do more or at least I do. Kali is a stick in the mud and would rather stay at home and relax. I have other stuff I squeeze into the day like walking in the lane, hunting for mice in the neighbours pile of cuttings from trees. Mom and I play a fair bit too but that’s for another day.

You sure had a busy day. I LOVE Doreen Tovey and have read all her book except one that the library doesn’t have and it costs too much to purchase online. I was so sad when I read that her cottage was recently torn down by someone that bought the property 😦

Oh my…thank you so much for honouring us this way my friends. I have received the award but will do a post about it. Do you remember last year…you probably don’t but you gave us an award and we were so new, we didn’t know what to do with it, so we did nothing. It was indeed an honour though. It was our first ever award. As you know the computer here has been out of commission but is slowly getting back to normal. The only thing left to be installed is the pictures. We need the pictures as it has our award on it. When we can actually thank you properly we will.

You certainly can jump higher than anybody here. Shoko won’t jump…she says its in her contract…she tells me all sorts of fibs…sisters, really! I couldn’t jump that high anymore…I used to when I was your age though. I would go after hummingbirds…they are really fast but I would hide in the tall flowers and leap up and catch them. Mom darned near had a fit…she would get so upset. Those behaviours are only memories now. I never did like being outside by myself so I didn’t go out unless mom was with me and I am the same now. Shoko only goes to the back lane and she would rather mom was there too. Neither one of us goes out for long periods of time much….sometimes during the hot summer nights Shoko will stay out catching bugs but that doesn’t usually happen very much.

      Kitty kisses,
      Kali

Sis is a little different Dharth but she’s fun so who cares. You must be very careful around vehicles, I wouldn’t be allowed out either if it was a busy street. I pretty well stay inside unless mom goes out and then I go with her and Shoko up the lane. I don’t have very good vision either and when a car is coming up the lane….mom needs to pick me up…I also get scared when I hear a car and don’t think correctly. Shoko knows to run out of its way. She waits on the nearest fence for a couple of minutes until all is quiet again.

        Have a great weekend cuzzin’.

We are indeed very fortunate that our moms do care. I and Shoko wouldn’t be aloud outside if we lived on a busy street. We very seldom go around the front of the house….mom has to be there and she doesn’t go to the front often either. Across the street is a school. There are still some fools that go really fast in a school and playground zone….believe it or not….these are the moms there to pick up their kids.

Tis very true Dharth…peeps drive like, “bats outta hell,” Your mom will be fine because she is smart and knows when to play it cool. Our mom has to use a walker too but only some days….when things are bad and walking is very difficult…like today. Peeps just don’t seem to be paying attention anymore when they drive. So we have to be pro-active and re-active and take our time.

        Kissy my cuz.

Snorts! I love that game. In/out/in/out. It drives the humans crazy so you know it’s one of our favorites, right pals? I do the same with mom on the back deck. I don’t want to go on the ground – eeww grass. But I like to hang out on the deck. Then back in. Then back out. Snorts and rolls with piggy laughter. XOXO – Bacon
