Sunday Selfie

Before we start on the selfie, I must tell you about meeting the Catsitter.  Mom called her and asked her to come over to visit with me a bit because I disappeared last time and we never were introduced.  She came over today…her name is Trish.  She is quite young.  I hissed at her 10 times but she didn’t go away.  I know my hiss is poor….more like hAAAA…hAAA.  She should get the idea though.  Mom seems to like her.

Trish tried to play with me but I just stared at her…my she is pretty and very soft spoken for a peep. I let her pat me and then I was gone. No sense hanging around.

Now. on with the selfie. Since Kali had artsy day, it was my day for a selfie. I tried to get all of me but this is no easy task.

The Cat on My Head has a Sunday Selfie Blog Hop and we try our best to get on it every Sunday. However, this doesn’t always work our way. Press here and be transported over to The Cat On My Head blog  where you can see many other anipals selfies.

I don’t like looking at the dirty snow either. Our temps warmed up over the weekend and lots of it melted, but then our temps dropped by at least 20+ degrees and then it rained, and now everything is covered in a nice top coat. Our poopie pit is a skating rink!

Same here…the temp warmed up and the plow got all the crap off the road…dirt, sand and stones. The banks around the road are black…then it snowed and got cold…now its starting to warm again. I had to go out today and it was icy and slushy. Thank goodness its a holiday in BC and there isn’t much traffic. I get a laugh out of your poop pit…talk about organized….hehe

I tell you, yesterday was a challenge in the poop pit as it was like an ice skating rink. When our dogs bent down to pee, their legs were sliding as if they were doing the splits! I laughed, but I probably should not have, but it was funny to watch. They could not get their footing on all the ice in the pit! I dig out a poop pit every winter so the dogs have a nice place to go, and it also helps me when Spring comes, as I only have ONE area in the backyard to fix the grass where the pee burned it! Ahhh, grass hopper is learning!

hahaha…watching the dogs taking a tinkle would be so funny!! I can just imagine it…hehehe. Of course I have fallen on my butt trying to run across the driveway…it hurts! It is such a good idea to keep the dogs in a specific area for bathroom breaks. You’re not looking all over your lawn in spring for poo and dead spots….I should get mom to tell the neighbours. It’s a little late this year so no rush.

Oh trust me, every Spring I have the daunting task of patching all the pee spots from the Winter! I’ve done it so many times that I am really good at it! Ooooh, be careful running across your drive! Even a thin layer of ice will make you fall.

One year mom put fertilizer just on the spots dogs peed on…it was funny…we had clumps of longer, greener grass. Mom doesn’t run across the driveway…I do. Mom’s learned her lesson…not me though…think I bounce..hehehe

hmmmm… I can’t hiss, so I sadly can’t help you out…maybe you can start the ultimative cat sitter test, where she has to pass the treat challenge and the test of courage? I mean she should be able to protect you from bears, aliens and squirrels… :o)

Easy, I see very few aliens, bears…sometimes squirrels…up swinging on the wires. They don’t mess with me. The treat challenge is the best one I’ve heard of…mom must put the dried chicky boobies out on the island…just the good stuff. Don’t pull out the hypo-allergenic stuff it’s too yucky.

I am really happy your mom is back in the land of the living and out of h(arm)’s way…hehe

aaww your Trish is pretty. Kind of reminds me of my pet-sitter Hannah. Good idea to let her know you don’t like her. That way you can cause trouble when she cat-sits you – snorts. XOXO – Bacon

You are so right Bacon. I am establishing boundaries…immediately. I’m no push over…she has to work to gain my trust. Of course, we may never see her again if I’m too obnoxious…it’s a fine line I’m treading here Bacon.

You take good care of your mum….she will be better soon. My mom gets terrible neck and back pains and all we can do is cuddle or be there for her to stroke. Stroking us seems to relax mom. She needs to relax as her heart starts racing when she is in deep pain. If she doesn’t calm down quickly….heart failure sets in….we don’t want this, so will be close for stroking purposes.
